Abstract

The Jambi University Physics Education Study Program has developed a Basic Physics II practicum guidelines based on science process skills that valid and reliable. However, there has not been a large scale implementation to determine the effectiveness of the guidelines. The purpose of this study was to determine the mastery of student science process skills after using the Basic Physics II practicum guidelines based on science process skills on refraction subject mater. This research is a quantitative research type of pre-experimental design with the One-Shot Case Study. The research sample was the Physics Education second year students of Jambi University, amounting to 87 people. Data collection is done by observing using observation sheets about science process skills. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that students were very good at mastering science process skills after using practicum guidelines based on science process skills. Percentage of mastery of science process skills for refraction practicum on parallel plan glass including: observation 64.84%; experimental planning: 64.84%; prediction 61.54%; conducting experiment 53.85%; measuring 49.45% and variabel identification 28.57%. On average, students were very good at mastering science process skills in refraction practicums in prisms with their respective percentages: planning experiments 61.54%; prediction 58.24%; observation 48.35%; conducting experiment 45.05%; measuring 39.56% and identifying variables 32.97%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui sikap terhadap mata pelajaran fisika di SMA N 5 Muaro Jambi. Metode penelitian ini campuran dengan jenis penelitiannya explanatory sequensial. Prosedur pengumpulan data, pertama peneliti menyebarkan angket kepada siswa dianalisis dan disajikan dalam bentuk diagram lingkaran, kedua peneliti melakukan wawancara dan dokumentasi berupa rekaman dan foto saat wawancara, dan tahap ketiga studi dokumentasi berupa foto dan transkipkan kedalam bentuk tulisan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi kelas X MIA, XI IPA dan XII IPA tahun ajaran 2017- 2018. Instrument penelitian yaitu; pertama angket siswa terhadap mata pelajaran fisika, kedua lembar wawancara, dan ketiga dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data kuantitatif statistik deskriptif dan data kualitatif model miles dan husberman. Hasil penelitian dimensi sikap implikasi sosial dari fisika dikategorikan sikap baik 49%. sikap normalitas ilmuawan dikategorikan sikap cukup 56%, sikap terhadap penyelidikan dalam fisika dikategorikan sikap cukup 51%. Adopsi dari sikap ilmiah dikategorikan sikap baik 58%. Sikap kesenangan dalam belajar Fisika dikategorikan sikap baik 46%. Sikap ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu belajar Fisika dikategorikan sikap cukup 48%, dan sikap ketertarikan berkarir di bidang fisika dikategorikan sikap baik 43%.

Abstract

Abstrak:Sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPA ada dua yaitu sikap positif dan negatif. Sikap positif ditandai dengan siswa cenderung tekun dalam belajar, sedangkan sikap negatif ditandai dengan siswa tidak bersemangat dalam belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPA di SMP Muaro Jambi. Sikap siswa yang diteliti memiliki indikator: implikasi sosial IPA, sikap terhadap penyelidikan IPA dan keinginan berkarir di bidang IPA. Penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian survey. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket sikap dan lembar wawancara. Teknik analisis data untuk angket sikap menggunakan statistik deskriptif sedangkan analisis data wawancara menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada indikator pertama, implikasi sosial siswa terhadap IPA termasuk kedalam kategori baik. Pada indikator kedua, sikap terhadap penyelidikan IPA termasuk kedalam kategori cukup baik. Dan pada indikator ketiga, keinginan berkarir di bidang IPA termasuk kedalam kategori baik.Abstract:There are 2 students' attitudes toward natural science subjects, namely positive and negative attitudes. Positive attitudes are characterized by students tend to be diligent in learning, while negative attitudes are characterized by students who are not enthusiastic to learn. The purpose of this research was to know the attitude of the students to science subjects in secondary school Muaro Jambi. The students’ attitudes indicators are social implications of science, attitude to natural science study and career interest in science. The research used survey research. The research instruments are questionnaire and interview sheets. The data analysis techniques used for the questionnaire was descriptive statistics while the interview data analysis using Miles and Huberman model. The results show that the first indicator, ssocial iimplications of natural science, is categorized good. The second indicator, students’ attitude to natural science study, is categorized good enough. The third indicator, students’ career interest to natural science, is categorized good.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap serta kendala atau masalah yang dihadapi siswa terhadap mata pelajaran fisika di SMA Kabupaten Batanghari. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif kuantitatif menggunakan prosedur penelitian survei dengan instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket dan wawancara. Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu 926 siswa di lima SMA Kabupaten Batanghari. Teknik analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan descriptive statistic sedangkan untuk data kualitatif menggunakan teknik analisis data model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil dari 4 indikator yang didiskusikan pada penelitian ini, pada Indikator implikasi sosial terhadap fisika sebanyak 54.3 % berkategori baik. Untuk indikator adopsi dari sikap ilmiah sebesar 61.2% berkategori baik. Kemudian pada indikator kesenangan dalam belajar fisika sebesar 55.5% berkategori cukup. Sedangkan pada indikator ketertarikan berkarir dibidang fisika sebanyak 57.9% siswa berkategori cukup.

Abstract

This research was conducted to identify the science process skills of the physics education students of Jambi University in prism refraction practicum after using the basic physics practicum guidebook II. This research is a quantitative descriptive method. The study was conducted with a sample of 91 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using a science process skill observation sheet which was supported by interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that most students are highly skilled in implementing science process skills-based practicum with the following percentages: observing by 48.35%, classifying by 38.46%, measuring by 39.56%, predicting by 58.64%, compiling data tables by 51.65%, making graph by 58.24%, planning the experiment by 61.54%, and conducting the experiment by 45.05%. The students were also quite skilled in constructing hypotheses and defining variables with the percentage of 57.14% and 39.56%, respectively. The results of the study are expected to be used as a consideration for study programs and other faculties at Jambi University as well as other universities to conduct related studies.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to determine the student’s attitude in Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 5 Kota Jambi towards physics learning. This is quantitative study using survey design. This study involved 126 students from the Jambi 5 State High School. Data were collected through questionnaires as many as 54 statements and used a 5-point Likert scale and interviews as a reinforcer of the questionnaire. Data analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the analysis obtained on the indicator of scientist normality are sufficient with a percentage of 50.0%. Scientific Normality Indicator with a percentage of 69.8% with the enough category. Indicators of attitude toward investigation of physics as many as 51.6% are sufficiently categorized. Based on these results in part at the Negeri 5 Senior High School in Jambi City students have a fairly good attitude towards learning physics

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of students' attitudes towards physics in Senior High School 8 Jambi City of Indonesia. This research is quantitative-qualitative research with survey research procedures. The subjects of this study were 170 students. The instruments used were questionnaires and interview sheets. Quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistics while qualitative data analysis using data analysis techniques model Miles and Huberman. The results of the 3 aspects of attitude indicators discussed in this study are on the indicator of normality of scientists as much as 60% are categorized quite good. While the attitude towards investigation in physics is 51% in the good category. Then in the indicator of interest in a career in the field of physics as much as 58% of students are categorized well.

Abstract

Kompetensi bahasa Indonesia adalah komponen penting untuk pelaksanaan kompetensi pedagogik. Untuk itu selain kompetensi pedagogik, mahasiswa calon guru penting memiliki penguasaan kompetensi bahasa Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis hubungan kompetensi bahasa dan kompetensi pedagogik serta mengetahui kendala-kendala mahasiswa pada saat mata kuliah bahasa. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada program studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar Universitas Jambi dan menggunakan 340 mahasiswanya sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan teknik tes dan wawancara. Penggunaan statistik inferensial yaitu analisis regresi linear sederhana digunakan dalam menganalisis data penelitian. Hipotesis penelitian yang diajukan adalah ada pengaruh kompetensi bahasa Indonesia (X) terhadap kompetensi pedagogik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat ditemukan bahwa kompetensi bahasa Indonesia memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kompetensi pedagogik (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the attitudes of students in physics learning at the State High School in Batanghari Regency. The type of research used is quantitative which uses a research design survey that is strengthened by the results of interviews to support the results of quantitative data. This study involved 926 students of the Batanghari State High School. The data used by researchers in the form of a questionnaire/questionnaire consisting of 54 item statements using a Likert scale 5. Quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistics. The results of this study the researchers get the results of Good and Good Enough with the following details: The Social Implications of Physics have a Good result, amounting to 51.3%. Attitudes in Physics Investigation have a sufficient result of 44.3%, Enjoyment Learning Physics has Enough results of 55.5%, Career Interest in Physics has Enough result of 45%. This is due to the attitude that is sufficient on the indicator. The adequate attitude of students is a balanced attitude in learning Physics Subjects because subjects are difficult to understand.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the views of students majoring in mathematics education and natural science faculty of teacher training and education science at Universitas Jambi to use electronic’s module in physics practicum which is based on science process skills. The study involved 117 students majoring in mathematics education and science which consists of 59 students of physical education and 58 students of mathematics education. This research is descriptive quantitative research in order to obtain information mean (M), median (Me), mode (Mo), percentage, the range of the maximum value and the minimum value. Data was collected by using questionnaires and interviews. Based on the research results from students’ perceptions of physical education in good category at 64.4% while the student's perception of mathematics education in good category amounting to 55.2%.
