Abstract

Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) memiliki potensi dengan total wilayah perairan umum mencapai 65% dari keseluruhan wilayahnya. Rawa banjiran menjadi sumber daya yang paling besar menopang perekonomian salah satunya dari hasil tangkapan perikanan tangkapnya. Tulisan ini menjelaskan kegiatan penangkapan dan hasil tangkapan ikan dalam hubungannya dengan fluktuasi tinggi permukaan perairan di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada Maret hingga Desember 2016, dengan melibatkan 16 orang nelayan pencatat hasil tangkapan. Nelayan berasal dari Palbatu dan Desa Tampakang, Kecamatan Danau Panggang. Data hasil tangkapan diperoleh dari 11 jenis alat penangkapan ikan yang terbagi dalam empat kelompok yaitu kelompok pancing/hook and line(pancing pelampung dan rawai baung), kelompok jebakan /pot trap (lukah baung, jabak baung, tampirai dan tamba seluang), kelompok jebakan/barrier trap (hampang padang, selambau kasa, dan selambau sungai), dan kelompok jaring/gill net (lalangit dan rengge). Data tinggi permuka air secara rutin dikumpulkan oleh nelayan setempat. Nilai laju tangkap dan hasil tangkapan dikorelasikan dengan tinggi muka air melalui uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan alat penangkapan ikan lukah baung dan tampirai dapat digunakan sepanjang tahun. Alat penangkapan ikan selambau sungai memiliki nilai laju tangkapyang tertinggi. Nilai laju tangkap berkorelasi signifikat terhadap tinggi muka air, sedangkan nilai hasil tangkapan hasil tangkapan tidak berkorelasi signifikan terhadap tinggi permukaan air.Hulu Sungai Utara Regency (HSU) has potency with total inland waters area about 65% from total administration area. The flood plain becomes the largest resources to sustain the economic through the fish catch production. This paper describes the fishing activity and fish production on relationship with water level fluctuation in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. This research was conducted on March to December 2016, with involved 16 fishers whose collected the fishing data activity. They are come from Palbatu village and Tampakang village, Danau Panggang District. Catch data collected by 11 fishing gears which separated to four groups they are hook and line (pancing pelampung and rawai), pot trap (lukah baung, jabak baung,tampirai and tamba seluang), barrier trap (hampang padang, selambau kasa, and selambau sungai), and gill net (lalangit and rengge. The water level fluctuation data was collected by local fishermen.The catch rate and production were correlated by t-test analysis. The results show that lukah baung and tampirai might be used throughout the season. The Selambau sungai got the highest of the catching rate. The catching rateswere significant correlated to water level fluctuation. While, the fishing production was not significant correlated to water level fluctuation.

Abstract

Mass mortality events (MMEs) on fish tend to increase recently both for cultured and wild fish both in coastal and inland waters. The MMEs on wild fish are mostly unknown. Mass mortality events on wild fishes of Mimika estuary, Papua have been recorded since long time ago and limited information was provided due to its remote area. A rapid appraisal study of mass mortality event (MME) of wild fishes chronology and cause was conducted in Yamaima river to Tifuka Estuary, Papua Province a week after the MME in April 2016. Seven sampling sites were selected. Two activities were conducted during the field survey: interview with the local people to get information on the chronology of the MME and collecting primary data on aquatic environment quality and fish samples. The occurance of goldstripe sardine inYamaima river and Tifuka estuary were triggered by the present of strong El Nino with ONI value more than 0.5oC in the ocean and atmosphere above Equator Pasific. Water quality at MME site was similar with remaining schooling fish and Tifuka estuary sites. Concentration of heavy metals in the sediment tend to decreased along with the distance from the MME site. Mass mortality of goldstripe sardinella could relate to oxygen suffocation as a result of disorentation movement of the fish shoals inaccordance with low tide and new moon phase. The number of the death goldstripe sardinella was estimated 200,000 fish with the weight of 18 tons. To mitigate MMEs in the future, efforts should be done such as: routine early detection of El Nino pattern and its effect on salinity and water temperature raising by placing key water quality parameter buoy in the mouth river of Papua and to set net or stack of logs in the cape area of west tailing levee Yamaima river to prevent the entrapment of migrating small pelagic fish specialy in the closed water area.

Abstract

 Curah hujan mempengaruhi aktifitas penangkapan dan juga lingkungan perairanan di sekitarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh curah hujan terhadap produksi tangkapan dan lingkungan perairan estuari sungai Barito. Pengambilan sampel hasil tangkapan dilakukan oleh bantuan enumerator alat tangkap lampara, tuguk dan rawai selama 7 bulan dari bulan Maret hingga September 2012. Parameter kondisi perairan yang diambil adalah nitrit, amoniak, total fosfat, kesadahan, turbiditas, daya hantar listrik (DHL) , kecerahan, oksigen, suhu, salinitas dan pH. Produksi hasil tangkap dihitung dalam nilai catch per unit effort (CPUE). Uji masing-masing parameter terhadap curah hujan menggunakan uji t, sedangkan model persamaan CPUE terhadap curah hujan dan kondisi perairan diperoleh melalui regresi berganda motode backward. Puncak musim penghujan pada saat penelitian terjadi pada bulan Maret dan pucak musim kemarau terjadi pada bulan September. Hasil uji – t pengaruh curah hujan dan parameter kondisi perairan menunjukan nilai signifikan pada parameter daya hantar listrik (DHL). Hubungan antara curah hujan dan nilai CPUE menunjukan nilai yang signifikan berbeda nyata, dimana nilai CPUE cenderung meningkat pada musim kemarau. Model regresi berganda CPUE yang terbentuk menunjukan persamaan yang signifikan terhadap parameter curah hujan dan oksigen terlarut.The influences of rainfall rate on fishing activities and the waters environment condition. This research has purpose to saw rainfall rate effect on fishing production and waters environment of Barito river estuary. Sampel of fishing result has collected by enumerator of lampara, tuguk, and rawai for 7 months, from March until September 2012. Parameters of water condition have collected are nitric, ammoniac, fosfat total, hardness, turbidity, conductivity, transparence, oxygen, temperature, salinity and pH. Fish production is showed by catch per unit effort (CPUE). Test for each water parameters and rainfall rate are conducted with t-test, while for similarity model of CPUE on rainfall rate and water condition are counted by multiple regression backward method. Peak of rainy season on research is happened on March, and peak of dry season happened on September. T-test result for rainfall rate and water condition parameter has show significant on conductivity parameter. Relation of rainfall and CPUE show significant correlation, where is the trend of CPUE increases on summer season. Multiple regression model of CPUE is formed in significant by rainfall and dissolved oxygen parameters.

Abstract

Ikan gabus merupakan salah satu jenis ikan ekonomis penting yang banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku produk olahan. Habitat ikan gabus di SungaiMusi yaitu banyak dijumpai di rawa banjiran seperti lebak-lebak di SungaiMeriak, Sungai Semuntul dan hutan rawa Danau Cala. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Februari–Desember 2010 dengan tujuan untukmengetahui pertumbuhan, mortalitas, laju pertumbuhan dan ukuran pertama matang gonad. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama 11 bulan penelitian didapatkan sampel ikan gabus sebanyak 2.303 ekor dengan kisaran nilai tengah panjang antara 20 - 500 mm, Ikan gabus betina pertama matang gonad berukuran panjang 210 mm sedangkan ikan gabus jantan pada ukuran 185 mm. Dari analisa Ford-Walford diperoleh nilai parameter pertumbuhan dengan panjang asimtotik ikan gabus (L ) sebesar 575,9 mm, koefisien pertumbuhan (K) sebesar 0,173 per tahun dan umur teorits (t0) sebesar - 0,07 per tahun sehingga diperoleh persamaan pertumbuhan Von Bertalanffy untuk ikan gabus adalah Lt = 575,9 (1-e-0,173(t +0,07)). Dugaan laju kematian alami (M) sebesar 0,25 per tahun dan laju kematian karena penangkapan (F) sebesar 0,51 per tahun. Laju eksploitasi (E) ikan gabus sebesar 0,67 per tahun atau sudah melebihi nilai eksploitasi optimumyaitu 0,50.The snakehead fishis considered to be an important food fish.The fishes arewidely used asraw material refined products. Habitat of Channa striata in floodplain of Musi River, there are in Meriak River, Semuntul River and in plood plain of Cala lake. Estimation of population parameters and size at the firstmaturity of female and male snakehead (Channa striata) has been conducted from February 2010 to December 2010. The purpose is to estimate fish population parameters quantitatively including growth of snakehead. The first sexual maturity and natural mortality (M), fishing mortality (Z) and exploitation rates (E) of snakehead.The results of this study showed that 11 month study period we found as many as 2,306 fish samples of channa striata with mediumlength range value between 20 to 500 mm. Size at first sexual maturity for female were 210 mm in length and for males of 185 mm. Based on the analysis of Ford-Walford growth parameter values obtained L = 575.9 mm, and K= 0.173 per year with a valueof t0 = - 0.07. From the values obtained by the Von Bertalanffy growth equation of Channa striata is Lt = 575,9 (1-e 0,173(t +0,07)).Alleged rate of natural mortality (M) of 0.25 per year and the rate of mortality due to fishing (F) of 0.51 per year and exploitation rate (E) fish by 0.67 per year that more exceed the optimum level exploitation (E = 0.5).

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Kabupaten Barito Selatan di Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah memiliki potensi dan produksi perikanan yang besar dari perairan umum daratan. Wilayah rawa banjiran yang luas, jumlah alat tangkap yang bervariasi dan kegiatan penangkapan yang tinggi menjadi salah satu sumber potensi dan penopang perekonomian di wilayah ini. Tulisan ini menguraikan sebaran penggunaan alat tangkap berdasarkan lokasi dan musim penangkapan dan menganalisis pengaruh curah hujan terhadap laju tangkap dan komposisi hasil tangkapan pada beberapa alat tangkap di wilayah perairan Kabupaten Barito Selatan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan 12 orang nelayan enumerator di empat lokasi berbeda. Lokasi tersebut yaitu Danau Palui, Danau Pamait, Desa Jelapat, dan Danau Ganting. Terdapat tujuh jenis alat tangkap yaitu rawai (long line), tampirai (stage trap), lunta (cash net), banjur (stake line), rengge (gill net), lukah (pot trap) dan selambau (seine net). Data curah hujan diperoleh dari stasiun BMKG Kabupaten Barito Selatan. Data dikumpulkan selama sembilan bulan dari Februari hingga Oktober 2015. Nilai produksi dan laju tangkap dikorelasikan dengan curah hujan menggunakan uji-t, sedangkan hasil tangkapan di tabulasi sesuai jenis alat tangkap dan waktu penangkapan. Diperoleh nilai korelasi signifikan antara produksi, laju tangkap terhadap curah hujan. Sebaran alat tangkap banyak diperoleh bervariasi pada wilayah rawa banjiran yang dangkal. Sebanyak 43 spesies ikan yang tertangkap menggunakan tujuh jenis alat tangkap. Alat tangkap selambau (seine net) memiliki variasi hasil tangkapan tertinggi. The South Barito Regency has high potential and production of inland fisheries in Central Kalimantan Province. The large area of flood plain, various of fishing gears and intensive fishing. This paper describes the distribution of fishing gear utilization based on location and fishing season and, analyzes  the effect of rainfall on the fishing rate and fish composition of several kind of fishing gears in South Barito Regency waters. Samples collection were done by 12 enumerators fishermen at four different locations. The locations include Palui lake, Pamait lake, Jelapat village, and Ganting lake. Fish production was tabulated based on fishing gear and fishing periode. Rainfall rate data were obtained from BMKG (Agency for Meterology, Climatology and Geophysic) of South Barito Regency. Data were collected during nine months from February to October 2015. Production and fishing rate were significantly correlated to rainfall rate with t-test.Results show that there were about 7 fishing gears such as: rawai (long line), tampirai (stage trap), lunta (cash net), banjur (stake line), rengge (gill net), lukah (pot trap) and selambau (seine net). There is a significant corellation between production and fishing rate to the rainfall rate. The distribution of fishing gear is more varied in shallow flood plain area. About 43 species of fish were caught using 7 different fishing gears. Selambau (seine net) caught the highest variation of fish species.
