Abstract

The Objective of this study to determine the relevance of vocational high schools (SMK) graduates especially in drawing technique building (TGB) with competence is needed in the world of work. This research was conducted in the state vocational high schools (SMKN) in Jakarta who organized a program of TGB, they are SMKN 26, SMKN 35, SMKN 52, and SMKN 56, Jakarta, and in several companies of construction industry. The sample in this research a number of 40 people, they were graduated in 2010 and 2011. The research taken using a purposive sample techniques. There are three instrument used. First, instrument competence graduates who votes by The Chairman of the TGB programs. This instrument is basic competence of curriculum (KTSP) SMK of TGB. Second, instrument competence required in the work hosted by graduates SMK of TGB by self assessment. Third, instrument competence required in the work hosted by manager to judge ability graduates SMK of TGB. Based on the research can be concluded that graduates SMK of TGB is competent in drawing, using software, and softskill. But in terms of counting, ability graduates SMK of TGB still low.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui relevansi pokok bahasan Mata Kuliah Dasar Kependidikan (MKDK) Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (Prodi PTB) yang dibina oleh Fakultas Teknik (FT) dengan kompetensi pedagogik mahasiswa PKM dalam peranannya sebagai calon guru di SMK, berdasarkan tinjauan terhadap pokok bahasan MKDK yang terdapat di Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) dan standar kompetensi pedagogik guru SMK menurut Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nomor 16 Tahun 2007 (Permen Diknas No. 16 Tahun 2007). Objek penelitian ini adalah Prodi PTB FT UNJ dan SMK Negeri di Jakarta yang menyediakan Program Keahlian Teknik Bangunan. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Juni sampai dengan Juli 2017. Metode penelitian menggunakan mixed methods atau metode kombinasi antara metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan desain sequential explanatory. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru SMKN 1 Jakarta, SMKN 4 Jakarta, SMKN 26 Jakarta, SMKN 35 Jakarta, SMKN 52 Jakarta, SMKN 56 Jakarta, SMKN 58 Jakarta sebanyak 533 orang dan sampel sebanyak 44 orang yang diambil menggunakan teknik sample purposive. Terdapat dua instrument yang digunakan. Pertama, menggunakan teknik analisis isi yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dan dibantu oleh dosen MKDK untuk memperoleh data relevansi pokok bahasan MKDK dengan sub-kompetensi pedagogik guru SMK. Kedua, menggunakan teknik wawancara untuk memperoleh informasi sejauh mana pokok bahasan MKDK Prodi PTB diperlukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan kompetensi pedagogik guru SMK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pokok bahasan MKDK yang dibina oleh FT sebagian besar relevan dengan kompetensi pedagogik guru SMK, dengan presentase sebesar 83,33% untuk mata kuliah Perencanaan Pembelajaran, 81,82% untuk mata kuliah Evaluasi Pembelajaran, dan 100% untuk  mata kuliah Kompetensi Pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between teacher’s instructional communication and learning outcomes in the form of final exam in the subjects of Class X Land Measurement Science expertise in Modeling and Building Information expertise program at SMKN 1 Jakarta. The type of research used in this study is associative quantitative research. The method used is a survey method with a correlational approach. The population in this study were class X students of the Permodean Design and Building Information program at SMK 1 Jakarta, as many as 102 people. The sample in this study used the Random Sampling technique which was tested on 80 students. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between instructional communication and learning outcomes as evidenced by: correlation coefficient value of 0.601 which is included in the category of strong relationships, the significance value of the correlation coefficient t count = 6.851 and t table = 1.991 which indicates a significant relationship, and the relationship between instructional communication and final exam learning outcomes is obtained by the determination coefficient value of 0.376. So the instructional communication factor can influence learning outcomes, which is 37.6%, and the rest is influenced by other factors beyond instructional communication skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang profil kemampuan soft skills yang dimiliki mahasiswa. Dalam penelitian ini, kemampuan soft skills mahasiswa diukur melalui kemampuan intrapersonal skills meliputi manajemen waktu, manajemen stress, manajemen perubahan, karakter personal, dan memiliki acun tujuan positif. Sedangkan interpersonal skill, meliputi kemampuan memotivasi, kemampuan memimpin/ teamwork, kemampuan presentasi, kemampuan komunikasi, kemampuan membuat relasi, dan kemampuan berbicara di depan umum. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Kemampuan Intrapersonal skills mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik UNJ dapat dikategorikan cukup baik untuk manajemen stress, manajemen perubahan, dan memiliki acuan tujuan positif. Namun demikian masih terdapat sebagian mahasiswa belum memiliki kesadaran diri terutama dalam manajemen waktu. Untuk kemampuan interpersonal skill mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik UNJ dapat dikategorikan cukup baik, seperti kemampuan memotivasi, kemampuan presentasi, kemampuan berkomunikasi, kemampuan membuat relasi.  Sementara yang harus menjadi perhatian adalah kemampuan memimpin/ teamwork dan kemampuan berbicara di depan umum.

Abstract

The aim of this research knows the relationship between self-learning and learning output of the Mechanics of Structure II subject for the students of Building Engineering Education Program Department of Civil Engineering State University of Jakarta in June 2011 which involved 50 students as the sample of this research. The result shows that students have less initiative in utilizing the facilities served in the library, self-learning at home, learning sources, practicing in the class, and having some handouts. Discussion between students is the only indicator demonstrating that the student initiative is quite good. Unfortunately, the interest of the students regarding this subject is very low. Learning output of the Mechanics of Structure II can be categorized as worst. The reasons are the students have no confidence in preparing the materials before the test and lean on other party during the test. The student’s responsibility in using the method and media for learning this subject is good even though the students just count on the lecture notes given by the lecturers during the course. But, the allocation time and readiness aspect shows that the student’s responsibility is minus because they don’t allocate much time to digest the subject and have the tendency of studying close to the deadline. Generally, the motivation and concentration of the students in learning is high. But, in allocating more time to digest the subject is lack.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran mekanika teknik pada siswa kelas X TGB di SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta. Penelitian berlangsung Maret sampai dengan Mei 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Penelitian Tindakan (Action Research) sebanyak tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TGB 1 SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah tes, observasi, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Indikator keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini apabila penguasaan materi peserta didik mencapai 75% dari tujuan yang seharusnya dicapai, dengan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal 66. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Mekanika Teknik siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa dari pre test ke post test, peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar yang terjadi pada siklus I sebesar 25,47. Peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar yang terjadi pada siklus II sebesar 26,09. Sedangkan peningkatan yang terjadi pada siklus III sebesar 26,41. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa model kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mekanika teknik.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) yang menggunakan prosedur penelitian yang dikemukakan oleh Sugiyono. Penelitian Sugiyono menerapkan 10 langkah-langkah penelitian dan pengembangan. Sedangkan pada penelitian ini menggunakan 5 tahap dari 10 tahap, yaitu identifikasi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain dan revisi desain. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan vokasional konstruksi bangunan UNJ angkatan 2017 pada mata kuliah teknologi beton. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan media flashcard ini setelah divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Melalui validasi ahli media, media flashcard dikategorikan baik dengan persentase 75,71%. Sedangkan penilaian oleh ahli materi, menyatakan bahwa media dikategorikan sangat baik dengan presentase 81,43%. Secara keseluruhan, media flashcard teknologi beton ini layak untuk digunakan pada mata kuliah teknologi beton.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Internet to influence student learning outcomes SMKN 26 Jakarta class X drawing technique building in science subjects of building materials. View the content of learning materials Building Materials Sciences that quite a lot, plus the allocation of limited time, giving the task done. Granting duty if selected as a method of teaching learning material much out of balance with the available time. Giving the task is done by utilizing the Internet (search engines, facebook and email). The sample in this study a number of 55 students. The results were positive and there is a relationship between the effectiveness of using the internet signifkan of student learning outcomes with a relatively low level of relationship

Abstract

The aims of this research is obtaining the empirical data about the difference of learning output of the students who are taught using Microsoft PowerPoint for experimental class and using Microsoft Wordfor control class at the subject: Vocational Furniture in SMK Negeri 52 Jakarta. The observation time starts from November 2010 until December 2010. The method used in this research is experimental method. A number of 180 students from the 11th grade students of SMKN 52 Jakarta are populated to be the subject of the experiment where thepurposive sampling is applied. The XI TKF A consists of 15 students is grouped as the control class and the XI TKF B consists of 15 students is grouped as the experimental class. The instrument of research is in the format of test results; the 1st – 3rd test makes use of the essay problems consisted of 5 problems at the end of the meeting either for the control class or experimental class, otherwise the multiple choice problems are applied for the 4th test consisted of 25 problems. The item validity test and reliability test are treated before the instrument is used. It shows that 20 instruments is valid whereas the other 5 problems is invalid in the 4th test with the reliability index 0.802. Since the reliability index is high, so the 25-multiple-choice-problem is insisted to be run as the research instrument. Normality test and homogeneity test are chosen as the analytical requirement test. The results from the sampling data show that it is normally distributed and homogeneous. While, the hypothesis is tested.

Abstract

This research aimed to get the empirical data about learning output difference between cooperative method of Student Achievement Division (STAD) and conventional method for cost and budget planning course subject (case study for Cost and Budget Planning subject at SMKN 35 Jakarta). The research was conducted on December 1st – 16th, 2011. The method used is experimental method. The population is 143 students of SMKN 35 Jakarta majoring in Technical Construction Drawing (TCD). Number of samples used is 40 students consisted of 20 students from experimental class (TCD II) and 20 students from controlling class (TCD I). The instrument for this research was learning output test in a form of 25 multiple choice problems. Data analysis was using t test with analysis preliminary test required before using normality and homogeneity test. Based on the sampling data test, those two classes basically were normally distributed and homogeny population. Hypothesis test using t test shows that tcalculated = 7.81. Otherwise, when error level (alfa) equals 0.05 and n = 20, the ttable = 1.73. So tcalculated was larger than ttable (7.81>1.73). Next, we rejected the H0 and accepted H1, so there was a learning output difference between cooperative method of Student Achievement Division (STAD) and conventional method for cost and budget planning course subject. It was shown that learning model using STAD gave better learning output rather than the conventional method. It is suggested to use cooperative learning method of STAD as an alternative way to study budget planning course subject
