Abstract: ThisÂ studyÂ aimÂ toÂ describeÂ theÂ studentsâÂ thinkingÂ processÂ ofÂ 9thÂ gradeÂ ofÂ Junior High School has a high mathematics capability in solving the mathematics problem based on Polya rule.Â ThisÂ studyÂ isÂ qualitativeÂ descriptiveÂ research.Â TheÂ criteriaÂ ofÂ subjectÂ selection included the studentsâ has a high mathematics capability and communication fluency both spokenÂ andÂ written.Â TheÂ dataÂ collectionÂ wasÂ doneÂ usingÂ writtenÂ testÂ andÂ task-based interviewÂ techniques.Â DataÂ analysisÂ doneÂ basedÂ onÂ writtenÂ testÂ dataÂ andÂ task-based interview techniques data. And then it has been done the method triangulation to get valid subject data.Â Â Finally,Â theÂ resultÂ ofÂ descriptionÂ thinkingÂ processÂ asÂ follows:Â studentsÂ withÂ high mathematicsÂ capability,Â inÂ understandingÂ problemÂ usingÂ assimilationÂ thinkingÂ process, makeÂ aÂ planÂ usingÂ assimilationÂ andÂ accommodationÂ thinkingÂ process.Â Assimilation thinking process can be identified when the students can mention the prerequisite material, can directly relate the sides kite (BF = FG) and can directly develop problem solving plan. Meanwhile,Â accommodationÂ thinkingÂ processÂ canÂ beÂ seenÂ whenÂ theÂ studentsÂ drewÂ an auxiliaryÂ lineÂ fromÂ EÂ toÂ theÂ rightÂ therebyÂ intersectingÂ withÂ CDÂ lineÂ (theÂ intersectionÂ was labeledÂ HÂ point),Â soÂ devidedÂ trapezoidÂ AEDGÂ becomeÂ rightÂ triangleÂ EHGÂ andÂ rectangle AEHD.
