The articles of this journal are published every six months, that is on January and July (2 issues per year), and published by the Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat STIKES Guna Bangsa Yogyakarta Indonesia. Journal of Health (JoH) is a semiannual journal, published in July and January, first publication is in 2014. The journal contents are managed by the health analyst (medical of laboratory technology) study program/department, midwifery department, nursing department, technology of blood transfusion department, and technology of radiodiagnostic, STIKES Guna Bangsa Yogyakarta. Abstract

Background : Anemia in pregnant women is a national problem. In Indonesia, the incidence of anmia in pregnancy is quite high. Anemia prevention program does is provide iron tablet that preparations Fe. How to consume tablets Fe followed by respondents as important to follow the advice given by the researchers then the tendency will increase in hemoglobin levels as expected. Objective: Given the relationship between adherence Fe tablets in pregnant women with anemia Puskesmas Grabag II Magelang regency. Methods: This study is a correlational research analytic, using a cross- sectional survey design . The sampling technique used was purposive sample of the number of samples in this study were 134 respondents. Results : There was a relationship adherence Fe tablets with maternal anemia status in Puskesmas Grabag II Magelang regency with p value of 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05) and the relationship is strong enough that the value of the Contingency Coefficient 0.556.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Angka aborsi di Indonesia diperkirakan mencapai 2,3 juta per tahun, sekitar 750.000 diantaranya dilakukan oleh remaja. Dari hasil penelitian pada remaja pada sepuluh SMA di Surakarta tahun 2005 ditemukan bahwa 30% laki-laki yang berpacaran telah melakukan hubungan seksual, sedangkan untuk perempuan sebanyak 5 %. Kurangnya pemahaman tentang perilaku seksual pada masa remaja adalah salah satu penyebabnya. Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan reproduksi dengan perilaku seks bebas di SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian menggunakan desain observational analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 177 siswa. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik korelasi Kendall Tau (Ï„). Hasil Penelitian: 125 siswa (70.6%) memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang kesehatan reproduksi dan 52 siswa (75,0%) memiliki perilaku yang baik dalam pergaulan seks bebas. Dari hasil analisa data dengan Kendall Tau diperoleh zhitung (9,96) > ztabel (1,96). Simpulan: ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan remaja tentang kesehatan reproduksi dengan perilaku seks bebas.

Abstract

Background : A food additive used to obtain food products that taste delicious, attractive, durable, easy in its distribution. Food additives that are often used in society is dye. Many fraud by producers to attract consumers such as the use of non-food grade dyes or food grade with doses exceeding the rules. Rhodamine B is a dangerous synthetic dyes are often added to foods as a dye. Kue Ku is made from a mixture of potatoes, coconut milk, glutinous rice flour, salt, sugar and red dye. The red color on my cake due to the addition of the dye rhodamine B. The use of rhodamine B can cause negative impacts on the health of consumers, thus attracting researchers to examine the presence of rhodamine B dye on my cake circulating in traditional markets Sleman, Yogyakarta. Method : The method is a descriptive study with the aim to describe or illustrate the existence of rhodamine B on kue Ku samples circulating in traditional markets Sleman, Yogyakarta. The method used for laboratory test is by thin-layer chromatography. Results : In this study showed 15,38% of Kue Ku samples have been investigated positive for rhodamine B. Conclusion : There dye rhodamine B on Kue Ku circulating in traditional markets Sleman, Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety, panic, inability to accept the conditions and low knowledge about good sexual behaviour can worsen HIV status. Purpose: assess changes in sexual behavior before, the time of diagnosis, and current and causes. Methode: Qualitative research phenomenological, semi-structured interviews with in dept interviews in 6 Participants women of reproductive age, diagnosed with HIV between 1-2 years before study, has been or ever married. Analysis using Collaizy. Result: before diagnosis frequency: rarely and still routine, sexual behavior: oral, anal and masturbated to couples, sexual desire did not a decline. Causal factor that changes sexual behavior is a condition of pain, impaired self-image, increasing socio-economic burden, and change partners. Dicussion: Hankins (1997) the majority of women after hear of HIV positive status will experience a significant disruption to the desire, arousal and orgasm function, is due to physiological and psychological factors. Recurrent pain during sexual intercourse can lead to avoidance. Psychosocial factors (stress, financial crisis, depression, anxiety) inhibit the production of liquid lubrication. Working full- time cause fatigue and decrease sexual desire for women with HIV.

Abstract

Helminth infection remains one of health problems of Indonesian people for years. The tropical condition of Indonesian climates with high level humidity has believed to be the one of factors that increase the number of this infection cases. Based of many studies, the number of helminth infections is related to the poor of hygiene and sanitation. This study is conducted to know the percentages of helminth infections among 0-14 years old children in Dusun Ngemplak, Desa Ngemplak Seneng, Klaten and also their personal hygiene with questionaire instruments. To know helminth infection in subjects, we examine faeces sample with simple method and 1% eosin dye. As the results of examination, we found Trichuris trichiura egg in three samples. This might related to the poor of their hygienic behaviors. Some of the behavior such as wash hand before eating and after defecation, use sandal or shoes when playing, consume helminthic drug for last 6 months, and defecate in toilet has shown percentage under 70%. Other behaviors such as cutting and cleaning nails and use a spoon when eating has shown percentage above 70%.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus in Bantul occupies the second position after hypertension with 10.32% prevalence among non-contagious diseases. Social support is important for diabetes mellitus patients because it influences their behavior towards reaching the desirable health status. The data obtained from 30 patients show that 15 patients received social support because no family members were there to accompany them, 5 patients suffered an emotional distress because they were anxious about their disease, and 10 patients did not have either social support problems or emotional distress. Objectives: To determine the correlation between social support and emotional distress on diabetes mellitus patients at Panembahan Senopati Hospital Bantul. Research Method: This is a correlational non experimental research which uses a cross-sectional design. The sample collection used a purposive sampling technique. The analyses technique using Kendall’s tau Results: The descriptive analysis shows that 3 respondents received low social support (10.7%), 15 respondents received medium social support (53.6%), and 10 respondents received high social support (35.7%), 8 respondents experienced low emotional distress (28.6%), and 20 respondents experienced medium emotional distress (71.4%). Conclusion: The results of Kendall’s tau correlation coefficient test show that there is a significant correlation between social support and emotional distress on diabetes mellitus patients with a p value = 0.000 and a correlation coefficient = 0.788.

Abstract

Background : Breastfeeding (ASI) is the most suitable food for infants as well as having the highest scores compared to baby food made of human or animal milk such as cow's milk, and others. Maternal knowledge is not only influenced by the educational level of the mother but also the mother obtained resources from the external environment, especially the role of mass media in providing information. Information presented mass media affect the information that is exclusive breastfeeding or formula milk advertisements currently being intensively carried out by the milk producers. Objective : Knowing the relationship between knowledge about the behavior of exclusive breastfeeding with exclusive breastfeeding in mothers. Method : This study is an observational study with this type, using a cross-sectional design. The number of samples in this study were 58 respondents. Results : Most respondents had sufficient knowledge and most of the respondents did not breastfeed exclusively . There is a relationship between knowledge about the behavior of exclusive breastfeeding with exclusive breastfeeding in mothers in the Work Area Health Center Tegalrejo Tegalrejo District of Magelang regency with p value of 0.000. Conclusions : There is a relationship between knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding with exclusive breastfeeding behavior.

Abstract

Background : The provision of the type of anesthesia in patients undergoing surgery can be performed under general anesthesia, and with the anesthetic to a specific body part (regional anesthesia). The type of anesthesia used in surgery, either by using general anesthesia or regional anesthesia with each having its own complications. Readiness of each participant looks diverse, there is no action in the first prepare medications and tools so often happens unpreparedness in implementing the action. Readiness of nurses in providing anesthesia is influenced by various factors such as age, education, work experience, knowledge and gender. Methods : The aim of research to explore preparedness for nurse anesthetists in general anesthetic action. This study used a naturalistic qualitative research. Participants in this study is a nurse anesthetist who is still on active duty in the department of West Nusa Tenggara Province. Intake of total participants performed the sampling technique. Data collection was conducted in natural conditions, the primary data sources and data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews to the participants to explore the role of a nurse anesthetist does and documentation. Data obtained through the data collection process immediately processed and analyzed by the researchers. Results of the study : The study states that the age of anesthesia nurses between 21 to 59 years, that the longer the period of employment will be more and more experience and better prepared for the patient, not the readiness of gender and all have the same roles and functions. Suggestion : Readiness nurse anesthesia before and during work is crucial to achieve satisfactory results in implementing the anesthesia.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused byMycobacterium tuberculosis that can invade the lungs as a primary infection which is a major health problem in developing countries. The purpose of this study to identification Acid Resistant Bacteria in patients with symptoms of tuberculosis in the region Ngronggot health center, district Nganjuk. This type of study was a descriptive study. The sample in this study is the sputum of patients with suspected tuberculosis. The study was conducted in district health centers Nganjuk Ngronggot on May 14 to June 30, 2012 were 116 patients with symptoms of cough for more than three weeks and gained 7.76% or 9 people who suffer from tuberculosis with positive sputum smear examination. And the obtained results of 92.24% or 107 people with negative sputum smear examination.

Abstract

Background: Preservative can block or slow process of fermentation, acidity and analyzes that cause by microbe. Sodium benzoate is one of organic preservative that easy to dissolve and usually additional with various of ingredients like sauce. Sauce is a fluid that can make food tasty. Sauce can be lasting if add by sodium benzoate. Sodium benzoate as preservative can be dangerous for healthy if out maximum level, and that interested research sodium benzoate. The research purpose to know about sodium benzoate and then determine content level existence on samples of sauce bottle on Beringharjo market in Yogyakarta. Research methods: The research describe sodium benzoate exiztence on sauce and than determine sodium benzoate level on saos. The research object sodium benzoate. Statistical variable in this research is one variable that is the existence and level of sodium benzoate on samples. Method that used for analyzed sodium benzoate in this case is base-acid titration in alkalimetry with two test that is qualitative test and quantitative test. This data is set out in table. Result: The research result by samples is 100% contain sodium benzoate and preservative with high level or out of maksimum level that has been certained and did not fulfill the terms of regulation BPOM Nomor 36 Tahun 2013 is 41,70%. Conclusion: there is sodium benzoate preservative on samples of sauce bottle on Beringharjo market in Yogyakarta with level maximum 7.001,61 mg/kg and level minimun 420,175 mg/kg
