Abstract

Wikstroemia sp. is used in traditional medicine for medical purposes including malaria in Bangka and Belitung island. However, its use is largely based on the empirical experience rather than scientific investi-gation. The aim of this study is to identify the plant, to investigate the present of some kind of biochemical compound, and to evaluate in vitro antiplasmodial activity of ethanol extracts of Wikstroemia sp. leaves and fruits to Plasmodium falciparum. A visual method was allowed to evaluate the in vitro antiplasmodial activity of the extracts against P. falciparum. The number of parasites per 5,000 erythrocytes on thin Giemsa stained smears was calculated microscopically. IC50 values were determined by probit analysis of SPSS 13 program. The study showed, the plant was identified as Wikstroemia lanceolata. Some biochemical compound which have been investigated were phenol, saponin, and steroid. The antiplasmodial activity of ethanol extracts of Wikstroemia lanceolata fruits and leaves on P. falciparum were not effective as IC50>100 μg/mL. The highest inhibition of 100 μg/mL of Wikstroemia lanceolata fruits and leaves were 5.95% and 16.99% respectively.

Abstract

Telah dibuat serbuk β”-Alumina dari bahan Na2CO3, Mg(OH)2 CO3 dan β-Al2O3. Mula-mula dibuat serbuk β-Alumina dari bahan β-Alumina dan bahan positif SiO 21%. Bahan-bahan tersebut dicampur dalam mortar selama 1 jam, diproses dengan menggunakan alat hidrolik pres dengan tekanan sebesar 100 kg/cm2 (metode cetak tekan), dibakar di dalam oven pada temperatur 1000oC dan 1100oC dengan waktu penahanan selama 6 jam. Selanjutnya, serbuk tersebut dikarakterisasi dengan menggunakan sinar-x. Dari hasil karakterisasi me-nunjukkan bahwa pada temperatur 1000oC sudah terbentuk β-Alumina.Untuk membuat β”-Alumina dipakai bahan β-Alumina pada temperatur 1000oC. Bahan-bahan lainnya untuk membuat β”-Alumina adalah Na2CO3, Mg(OH)2CO3, dicampur dengan aceton dan digiling dengan mengguna-kan ball mill selama 10 jam hingga homogen, kemudian dikeringkan dalam kamar pengering pada temperatur 120oC. Selanjutnya, dibakar di dalam oven pada temperatur 1250oC dengan kecepatan 300oC/jam dan dianali-sis dengan sinar-x. Hasil karakterisasi sinar-x diketahui bahwa phasa-phasa β”-Al2O3 yang terbentuk cukup baik.

Abstract

Peramalan merupakan proses meramal suatu peristiwa yang akan terjadi pada masa yang akan da-tang dengan mendasarkan pada variabel-variabel tertentu. Metode Deseasonalized adalah bagian dari metode dekomposisi yang merupakan salah salah satu metode deret berkala. Peramalan dengan metode ini dilakukan dengan cara menhilangkan pengaruh variasi musiman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui rama-lan jumlah pengunjung objek wisata Danau Ranau pada tahun 2012. Untuk melakukan ramalan, terlebih da-hulu dihitung indeks musiman menggunakan metode rasio terhadap rata-rata bergerak, kemudian menentu-kan persamaan garis trend. Peramalan dihitung dengan mengalikan 𝑌 (nilai dugaan) dengan indeks musim. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh model peramalan yaitu 𝑌 =18235,21775+174,9745𝑡. Sedangkan perkiraan jumlah pengunjung objek wisata Danau Ranau tahun 2012 pada kuartal pertama adalah 21.015 pengunjung, kuartal kedua 22.262 pengunjung, kuartal ketiga 24.211 pengunjung dan kuartal empat 23.233 pengunjung. Nilai MAE dan MSE yang dihasilkan masing-masing adalah 1.209 dan 2.122.780.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan angkutan batubara dan peningkatan perkembangan ekonomi mengakibatkan lalu lin-tas perkeretaapian di lintas Kertapati – Tanjung Karang dan Kertapati – Tanjung Enim semakin padat. Hal ini mengakibatkan semakin beratnya beban kerja PPKA (Petugas Pengatur Perjalanan Kereta Api) karena Stasiun Kertapati masih menggunakan persinyalan mekanik dalam operasionalnya. Untuk mengantisipasi hal tersebut pihak Kementerian Perhubungan Republik Indonesia melalui Satuan Kerja Pengembangan Perkeretaapian Sumatera Selatan mengganti sistem persinyalan mekanik menjadi sistem persinyalan elektrik di Stasiun Kerta-pati. Pekerjaan pembangunan persinyalan elektrik di Stasiun Kertapati dilaksanakan oleh PT. Len Railways Sys-tem dan disuvervisi oleh konsultan CV. Wira Cipta Mandiri. Penjadwalan proyek pembangunan persinyalan elektrik di Stasiun Kertapati yang semula diperhitungkan selesai selama 511 hari dengan biaya sebesar Rp 49.653.616.680,31 dapat dilakukan dengan pengefisienan waktu. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis optimalisasi penjadwalan proyek ini dilakukan dengan CPM dan PERT serta bantuan software Lindo 6.1. Mela-lui perhitungan crash program pada metode CPM dan PERT diperoleh waktu penyelesaian proyek selama 427 hari dengan biaya sebesar Rp 49.302.424.985,4, dimana persentase percepatan waktu penyelesaian proyek adalah 16,4383562% dan persentase pengurangan biaya adalah 0,7072832%.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain rhizosphere bacteria as a potential agent of bioremediation. The method of sampling the plant rhizosphere by purposive sampling. Soil samples were taken from around the rhizos-phere of plants that live in soil contaminated oil. Bacteria were isolated from the rhizosphere soil samples, then they were selected into steps : performed purification, selection I and selection II. The among bacteria are tested the synergism, then characterized and identified it’s genus. The results showed that there were as many as 34 rhizosphere bacterial isolates were collected from three different sampling locations. Identification of bacteria that have potential as a bioremediation agent. Each bacterial isolate was identified as Sporosarcina sp. A.4.10, Proteus sp. C.6.7, Actinobacillus sp. A.6.3, and Flavobacterium sp. A.5.8.

Abstract

Structure and vegetation Analysis composition in the area used for cultivation of mount forest wild-life conservation of Gunung Raya in Warkuk subdistrict of OKU Selatan regency can describe the plant biodi-versity, abundace, spesies dominance, type and vegetation profile, and the succesion pattern. The vegetation data was from the transek method which is line compartmentalized, namely 3 transek with the 10 plot per sta-tion. The observation was done in every growth of the vegetation which was grouped into four levels, such as seedling and caver plant, sapling, pole and tree. the result showed that the vegetation composition for the tree level in the first station were dominated by Shorea sp (with the important Index Value 36.81%), the pole domi-nated by Syzygium polyanthum, and saplings with dominated by Styrax benzoin and seedlings and cover plants with dominated by Calamus sp. The second station for the tree level which was comprised of five spe-cies of trees with dominated by Litsea mappaceae. While dominated by Homalanthus populneus. The next is the 10 spesies of saplings with 8 families which dominated by Adianthum capillus (with the important index value of 52.55%).

Abstract

The research “Potential Mangrove as Medical Plants in Sembilang National Park Banyuasin South Sumatera” which was conducted in 6 April – 6 October 2013 aims to determine the species of mangrove that can be used as a traditional medicine, to know the parts of mangrove which used as traditional medicine, and utilization the use of mangrove as traditional medicine. The sampling method used was Snowball Sampling, which seek information from the publicor other sources of reliable. Results of the study found that 5 species of mangrove plants are useful as medicinal Acanthus ilicifolius, Acrostichum aureum, Avicennia alba, Sesuvium por-tulacastrum and Xylocharpus granatum. Part of the fruit, sap, leaves and whole plant were used, the utilization was obtained as cure for ulcers, abdominal pain, typhus, itchiness, eye pain that affected by sap of buta-buta plant.
