EDUKASI is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that focuses on Religious Educational Research. It published by Center for Research And Development of Religious Education, Republic Indonesia Ministry of Religious Affairs, since 2003 and had been released three times a year. Now (since 2017) it governed in associated and corporated to Religious Researchers Association. And since 2009 it had been accredited by Indonesian Science Institution. Nowadays are about to prepare for becoming International Journal reputation that would be indexed at global high ranked index. As the scientific reading material publication, the EDUKASI aimed to provide readers with a better comprehensive understanding of Religious Educational Studies in Indonesia, and even around Asia countries and the world. We invited all researchers, lecturers, teachers, and whoever interested and have a manuscript of religious education to send off what you have been researched and reported to be published in EDUKASI. The articles should be original, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in any other journals. All submitted manuscripts will be blindly-reviewed by qualified academics in the field. This process may take several weeks or months.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the education orientation overview at Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School with various challenges of social changes taking place in society. This study becomes important because it attempts to reveal how Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School performs its roles accor­ding to the expectations and needs of people who require its services associated with religious services, education and other social roles. Using a case study at Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School, the data was collected through documentation study by tracing sources of relevant literature, documents or records and observation. The findings include: 1) a change in education unit form managed by Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School is essentially a change from a non -formal to formal education system, in the form of madrasah education unit. However, Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School maintains its salafi education system; 2) agents of change in the boarding school come from internal parties, particularly the founders, caregivers, directors, family assembly; 3) the boarding school always makes innovation and adaption; 4) economic independence of Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School excellently benefits the students and its caregivers and managers, which eliminate the habit or culture of begging (expecting aids / donations from others) and even can help the poor.AbstrakTujuan studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran umum tentang orientasi pendidikan di Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri dengan berbagai tantangan perubahan sosial yang terjadi di masyarakat. Penelitian ini menjadi penting karena mencoba untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana Pesantren Sidogiri melaksanakan peran-perannya sesuai dengan harapan dan kebutuhan masyarakat yang memerlukan pelayanan dari Pesantren Sidogiri yang terkait dengan pelayanan keagamaan, pendidikan dan peran sosial lainnya. Dengan menggunakan studi kasus di Pesantren Sidogiri, data diambil melalui studi dokumentasi dengan melacak sumber literatur terkait, dokumen atau arsip dan observasi. Diantara hasil temuannya adalah 1) Perubahan bentuk satuan pendidikan yang dikelola oleh pesantren Sidogiri ini pada hakekatnya merupakan perubahan dari sistem pendidikan nonformal ke sistem pendidikan formal, dalam bentuk satuan pendidikan madrasah. Namun begitu Pesantren Sidogiri masih tetap mempertahankan sistem pendidikan salafiyahnya, 2) Tokoh penggerak perubahan Pesantren ini adalah dari internal Pesantren khususnya pendiri, pengasuh, direktur, majelis keluarga. 3) Pesantren selalu melakukan inovasi dan adaptasi, 4) Kemandirian pesantren Sidogiri dalam bidang ekonomi sangat memberikan manfaat baik para santri maupun para pengasuh dan pengurusnya yang mengakibatkan tidak adanya kebiasaan atau kultur meminta-minta (mengharapkan bantuan/sumbangan dari pihak lain) bahkan dapat menyantuni masyarakat dhuafa.

Abstract

AbstractThe research objective is to build an education model of religious life based on life skills in the Islamic boarding school according to the philosophy of life of the nation. This study used Borg and Gall development procedure consisting of three stages of development, namely pre-development, development and post-development. Activities undertaken in the pre-development stage is to conduct literary study. The development stage includes the steps of drafting a guidance to formulate general objective, special objective, developing evaluation tools and determining strategy. The post-development stage includes expert test, small group test and limited group test. The expert assessment results show that education model of the religious life based on life skills in Islamic boarding school have met the acceptability criteria when viewed from the usability, feasibility and accuracy aspects. The study results are in two schools in the Islamic boarding school surrounding, namely Islamic Senior High School (MA) Al Hikmah 2 and Vocational School (SMK) Roudlotul Mubtadiin, which have organized life skills education although with different variants, i.e. materials of vocational education programs in the extra-curricular activiti­es, such as: computer, English, fashion, fisheries, electronics, automotive, welding, and Kitab Kuning (Islamic books). The implementation of life skills education is not limited to the level of regulatory structure, both in the curriculum and in the educational process, but also the effectiveness of education contained in the culture system of religious life in developing life skills in the Islamic boarding school environment.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk membangun model pendidikan kehidupan beragama berbasis life skills di pesantren sesuai dengan falsafah hidup bangsa. Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur pengembangan Borg and Gall yang terdiri atas tiga tahapan pengembangan, yaitu pra pengembangan, pengembangan dan pasca pengembangan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan pada tahap pra pengembangan adalah melaku­kan telaah literatur. Tahap pengembangan meliputi langkah-langkah menyusun draf panduan dengan merumuskan tujuan umum, tujuan khusus, mengembangkan alat evaluasi dan menentukan strategi. Tahap pasca pengembangan yaitu melakukan uji ahli, uji kelompok kecil dan uji kelompok terbatas. Hasil penilaian ahli menunjukkan bahwa model pendidikan kehidupan beragama berbasis life skills di pesantren telah memenuhi kriteria akseptabilitas bila ditinjau dari aspek kegunaan, kelayakan dan ketepatan. Hasil penelitian adalah pada dua sekolah di lingkungan pesantren yaitu MA Al Hikmah 2 dan SMK Roudlotul Mubtadiin, telah menyelenggarakan pendidikan life skills walaupun dengan varian yang berbeda, yaitu materi program pendidikan keterampilan dalam kurikulum ekstra kurikuler, seperti: komputer, bahasa Inggris, tata busana, perikanan, elektronika, otomotif, pengelasan, dan kitab turats. Implementasi pendidikan life skills tidak sebatas pada tataran struktur regulatif, baik dalam muatan kurikulum maupun proses pendidikannya, tetapi efektivitas pendidikan terdapat pada sistem kultur kehidupan beragama dalam mengembangkan life skills di dalam lingkungan pesantren.
