Abstract

This research aims to find out the Social science learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN Sungai Sandung 1 by implementing picture and picture learning model. The type of research was classroom action research consisting of two action cycles. The research sampling technique was cluster random class. The research subjects were fourth grade students of SDN Sungai Sandung 1 in academic year of 2018/2019 consisting of 19 students by implementing picture and picture learning model. The research data collection instruments were tests in the forms of multiple choices and observation sheets. Based on the research data, the result of pre-cycle showed that 3 students got score of ?70 with completeness percentage of 16%. The result of cycle I showed that there was no difference (improvement) on student?s learning outcomes that number of students who passed the completeness criteria in the cycle I was equal to one in the pre-cycle which was only three students got score of ?70 or the completeness percentage was 16%. The result of cycle II showed that students who got score of ?70 increased significantly which were 16 students with learning completeness percentage of 84%. The result shows that there is a significant difference (improvement) on the Social science learning outcomes of students by implementing picture and picture learning model in the fourth grade of SDN Sungai sandung 1.

Abstract

The teacher needs to increase skills and knowledge of independence as a form of self-development that can be obtained through training. Training is one of the effective methods in a short time that has a positive impact. The principles in the training include participation, repetition, relevance, transference and feedback. This research aims to describe the implementation of training activities to make questions for SDN 1 Kuluran teachers and to find out the effectiveness of the training on the skills of making questions for SDN 1 Kuluran teachers. This type of research was a semi-descriptive quantitative research. The populations in this study were all teachers of SDN 1 Kuluran, consisting of 12 people. The data analysis used in this study was the T test. The test used the SPSS 21 application. The results of the study show that the training stages include introduction, connection, application, reflection and extension. Some points that must be considered in research are preparation, allocation and time consistency, participant activity (speaker as facilitator), and a conducive environment. The significance value obtained based on the results of the pretest and post test is 0.00 <0.05, which means that the training is effective in the skills of making questions of teachers at SD Kuluran.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how to improve the child?s soft motoric skills through Montessori life skill activities. Based on the fact, children at group A at PAUD Islam Silmi Samarinda still found obstacles for the soft motoric skills. Children like outdoor activities more than indoor activities that require them to be quite and use their soft motoric. From 12 children, only 4 children could hold the pencil well.This research used classroom action research design. The research subject was group A with analysis technique of average score, percentage, and graph. To obtain valid result, the research technique used two cylces and each cycle consisted of four stages which were planning, acting, observing and reflecting.Based on the result, it appears that the child?s soft motoric improve with good category. The final result of cycle I that is categorized as good is 40%. At cycle II, the number of children that are categorized as good improves up to 92%. With the improvement, it shows that children have opportunity to develop their soft motoric skill through Montessori life skill activities. Thus, Montessori life skill activities support the child?s soft motoric skill development.

Abstract

Preliminary study shows the Social science learning activities of students in class VI SD Inrpres are still low, student learning activities can be improved through the implementation of scientific approaches with interactive multimedia. The aim of this study is to describe the increase in student learning activities in the nature of the symptoms/events materials that occur in Indonesia and neighboring countries. This study used the Bachman model class action research with the stages of planning, implementation and observation, as well as reflections, carried out through the action of 2 cycles. Data analysis results show the increase of student activities seen from six indicators. Along with the characteristics of the scientific approach that Hosnan expressed, after combined with interactive multimedia. Lowther and Russel add benefits and functions that can help to increase student activities, with a percentage on each indicator consisting of Visual Activity from 74% increase to 80%, Oral Activity from 78% to 80%, Listening Activity from 77% to 84%, Writing Activity from 83% to 85%, Mental Activity from 83% increase to 85% and Emotional activity from 81% to 84% in cycle II. It concludes that implementation of scientific approaches with interactive multimedia can increase students ' learning activities of Social science subject in the class VI at SD Inpres Fakfak.

Abstract

The right learning model determines success in learning. Activities that suit the needs of children, of course, prioritize a sense of pleasure and comfort. Fun learning can develop abilities or multiple intelligences as optimal as possible in accordance with existing standards in the curriculum. The learning center model is one of the learning models that is able to stimulate all aspects of child development through directed play. The center-based learning model is one of the more effective learning models because it is oriented in playing while learning. This learning model has been applied to Islamc Center Kindergarten, Silmi Islamic Kindergarten and Fastabiqul Khairat Kindergarten. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Islamic learning center model to develop children's multiple intelligences in Samarinda City Kindergarten.This research used field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. The research locations were Islamic Center Kindergarten (TK), Silmi Islamic Kindergarten (TK) and Fastabiqul Khairat Kindergarten (TK). Data collection techniques were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis.The results of this study were obtained after an analysis that center-based learning models develop the ability of multiple intelligence in early childhood. Each center has a focus on developing aspects of intelligence and when put together, all centers are designed with a variety of strategies in the process of learning activities where children learn to actually encourage to be directly involved in observation, do it directly using existing media with pleasure because it is inseparable from the concept of play children, all centers hone the intelligence abilities of logical thinking, intrapersonal, interpersonal, kinesthetic, linguistic, naturalist, musical, visual-spatial and existential. In developing plural intelligence in early childhood, it is supported with facilities and infrastructure that are in line with the concept of learning, namely playing while learning.

Abstract

This research describes the role of school founders in developing teacher perpformance at KB Fun Islamic School Suronegaran Purworejo. The purpose of this article is to determine the role of the founder of the KB Fun Islamic School Suronegaran Purworejo in developing teacher assignments. This article was written using the quality method with a descriptive approach based on observations and interviews with school Suronegaran Purworejo. Based on research conducted developing teacher performance conducted by school founders through as a motivator, conducting evaluations, and providing training to tachers such as ?GURAME? training or seminars and teachers are also given the oppurtunity to do internships at other PAUD institutions. Thus, adding to the experience of the teacher both in learning planning, implementation, and the success of learning achievement in KB Fun Islamic School.

Abstract

This study focuses on correlation between reading comprehension and writing ability in descriptive text. The researchers collect the data through two instruments, i.e. test of reading comprehension and descriptive text writing. This research is researched quantitatively and SPSS was used to analyse the data.  Then, the result of the study shows that mean score of reading comprehension is 72.47. It means that the students reading comprehension was good. Meanwhile, the mean score of writing ability in descriptive text is 61.14. In addition, the researchers found that r-counted is 0.098, and the r-table with n = 108 (df-2 = 106) with significance level = 95% (α = 0.05) is 0.189. It indicates low correlation between the two variables.

Abstract

Dalam upaya Madrasah At-Tarbiyah untuk mendidik siswanya menjadi manusia yang mulia tidak bisa dilepaskan dari peranan guru. Dalam pelaksanaan tugas dan tanggung jawab sebagai tenaga pendidik, guru dituntut sedapat mungkin bertindak sebagai agen pembelajaran yang profesional. Sejalan dengan berbagai tuntutan yang dialamatkan bagi setiap guru, maka keberadaannya sangat diharapkan memberikan pembelajaran didasarkan pada kompetensi yang harus dimiliki. Adapun komptensi tersebut meliputi kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi professional. Disinilah pentingnya sosok pemimpin selaku penanggung jawab pengelolaan administrasi dan teknis pembelajaran yang diharapkan mampu bertindak menumbuh kembangkan kompetensi guru lewat pemberdayaan kompetensi guru melalui bentuk penghargaan seperti pemberian kesempatan sertifikasi guru, pendidikan dan latihan profesi, penyediaan sarana pendukung pembelajaran, pemerataan jam pembelajaran, pemberian insentif berdasarkan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya serta pemenuhan jaminan kenyamanan dan keamanan dalam menjalankan tugas pembelajarannya. Permasalahan yang akan diteliti adalah upaya kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan profesionalisme guru Madrasah At-Tarbiyah Kabupaten Kutai Kertanegara.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Fokus penelitian ini adalah upaya kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan profesionalisme guru Madrasah Ibtida’iyah At-Tarbiyah Kutai Kertanegara. Sumber data adalah kepala sekolah dan guru Madrasah Ibtida’iyah At-Tarbiyah Kutai Kertanegara yang jumlahnya 7 orang yang terdiri dari 1 orang kepala Sekolah, Wakasek 1 orang dan guru 5 orang. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan di Madrasah At-Tarbiyah Kabupaten Kutai Kertanegara upaya kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di MI At-Tarbiyah diantaranya Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG), kegiatan Diklat (pelatihan), penataran serta lokakarya dan kuliah ke jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi.Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa proses pendidikan dan pengajaran sudah berjalan dengan baik yang mana sesuai dengan program yang telah ditetapkan kepala madrasah.

Abstract

A face to face instruction or lecture could not always be held for spontaneous activities such as a sudden meeting, faculty’s or institute’s activities or students’ activities which collide with the schedule. Teaching and learning activities become less effective since the lecture plans that have been set through the Semester Learning Plan could not run as planned and it influences the learning outcomes. Therefore, it needs an alternative solution that is utilizing e-learning using Edmodo because it is easy and familiar to use.This research is a pre-experimental design (non-design) using one-group pretest-posttest research design. The number of the samples was 76 students from IAIN Samarinda and STAI Sangatta. The instruments were pre-test, post-test, and questionnaires.The result of this research indicates that Edmodo based e-learning at PTKI in East Kalimantan is effective for the learning process. The two sample paired sign test towards pre-test and post-test shows that Z score is -7.330 with sig. of 0.000 and since sig. of 0.000 &lt; 0.05, it means effective. In addition, the analysis towards questionnaires filled out by students show that Edmodo based e-learning at PTKI in East Kalimantan is effective for learning, with score percentage of 81.25% that has a very strong Score Interpretation Criteria. Key words: Effectiveness, E-learning, Edmodo

Abstract

Sorodot Gaplok merupakan salah satu jenis permainan anak tradsional (kulianan budak baheula) khas Jawa Barat. Secara eksistensial,  Sorodot Gaplok dapat dikategorikan sebagai permainan popular khususnya bagi warga masyarakat Desa Manggung Jaya, Kecamatan Cilamaya Kulon, Kabupaten Karawang. Hal ini dikarenakan permainan tradisional ini bukan hanya dilakukan oleh anak-anak, tapi juga oleh orang dewasa. Dilihat dari bentuk dan karakter permainannya, Sorodot Gaplok dipandang bukan saja sebagai permainan mengisi waktu luang, melainkan sarat akan nilai-nilai moral dan pendidikan karakter di dalamnya. Atas dasar itu, studi ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap nilai-nilai moral dan pendidikan karakter dalam permainan sorodot gaplok di kalangan warga masyarakat Desa Manggung Jaya, Kecamatan Cilamaya Kulon, Kabupaten Karawang. Studi ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan landasarn teori dari Rogers &amp; Sawyers tentang nilai-nilai dalam aktifitas bermain anak. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Permainan sorodot gaplok bersifat rekreatif, kompetitif, dan edukatif; 2) Permainan sorodot gaplok termasuk ke dalam model pembelajaran outdoor education; 3) Permainan sorodot gaplop dapat menstimuli enam aspek yaitu motorik, kognitif, emosi, sosial, ekologi, dan moral; 4)Permianan sorodot gaplok memiliki empat dimensi pendidikan karakter yaitu problem solving, kekuatan verbal dan nonverbal, keterampilan sosial, serta ekspresi emosi. Dengan beberapa temuan tersebut, studi ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya dan melengkapi kajian tentang pentingnya pelestarian nilai-nilai budaya local sebagai salah satu model penguatan pembentukan dan pendidikan karakter anak bangsa. Disamping itu, studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi mainstreaming akan pentingnya pembangunan berwawasan pendidikan yang ramah anak terutama bagi para pemegang kebijakan.
