Abstract

Information and communication technology currently has grown to such an extent, not only to meet the needs for information only, but now has grown to the fulfillment of the will of entertainment. These developments, and then bring up the creative industries technology-based communication and information, one of them is online gaming. Creative industries in this area, has become a phenomenon by itself, and makes it as one of the important sectors for economic growth. However, based on the data we get, there are still constraints faced in the development of this industry, such as: the limitations of knowledge, capital, the absence of Government support, as well as the lack of adequate infrastructure. The negative impact was unavoidable as well as from the industry, for example, will the existence of addiction for the gamers who have an impact on crime and action elements of pornography are also inherent in this online game. Therefore, it takes the good cooperation between the developers of the game and also the Government to be able to develop the online gaming industry. There is awareness of the game developer to make a quality game play and has educational values.

Abstract

This study departs from the rampant phenomenon of people believe and go shaman. Shamans believed to have the ability and expertise to provide suggestions in the process of healing and helping people. The problem in this study is how the experience, skills and expertise shaman in Lamongan in his work treating and helping the client? The purpose of this study was to understand and explore in depth the communication competence magical shaman related to his work in serving and treating clients in Lamongan East Java Province. This study used a phenomenological approach to qualitative research methods The subjects in this study were shamans and existing clients in the area of Lamongan East Java Province. Data sources or selected informants purposively with the terms directly experience the events that are the focus of research, able to recount events that happened, and be willing to research informants. Data collection techniques in this study using the technique of interviewing, observation, and document review. While the data analysis techniques used in this study are three flow activities: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion / verification. The results of this study describes the capabilities and expertise of shaman is suwuk, petungan, penerawangan, and prewangan. Ability and skills possessed shaman on that gave birth a new communication concept is suwuk communication, petungan communication, penerawangan communication, and prewangan communication.

Abstract

This study discusses the integrated marketing communications conducted by PT Cubes Consulting to build the brand image of the company. Authors take this subject because the authors assume that the PT Cubes Consutlting as an SAP partner, a company that is still very new, but it could have a considerable client references and come from large companies. Though competition in the business world is not easy, because many SAP partners in Indonesia who have first foray into the world and be seen from the size of the business, obviously bigger.

Abstract

This type of research is qualitative research, using the descriptive approach, which seeks to describe a social phenomenon. In other words, this study aims to describe the nature of something that is taking place at the time of the study. This research uses data collection techniques with in-depth interviews, observation and literature study. The results of this research is there are different cultural patterns between the Batak ethnic students in UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta with the indigenous people of Yogyakarta. The Batak ethnic students in UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta has a Low Context cultural patterns and masculinity, while the indigenous people of Yogyakarta has a High Context cultural patterns and Femininity. Communcation patern that exists between the Batak ethnic students in UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta with the indigenous people of Yogyakarta has entered a stage of dynamic intercultural communication having been through an interactive stage and transactional. Intercultural communication that occurs, namely: the uses of language, perception, nonverbal forms of communication, food and social interaction. Abstract

TV program is value laden. There were backgrounds, business strategy, political interest, etc which is called Political Economy of Media. Analysis to Political economy of media will show the facts/interest behind the program. In the other side, public has right to know and to inform the information clearly even the background. Upin & Ipin is popular cartoon animation for Malaysian even Indonesian. It is value laden of civics, ethnicity, capital and also culture infiltration. Upin & Ipin apply the concept of commodification, spasialization and structurazion successfully based on Malaysia value. Upin & Ipin is the real strength not only to Malaysia even the near country.
