Abstract

This study aims to determine the contestation commodification and mass media Muhammadiyah ideology. Television media industry is a capital intensive industry types. This compares with the strength to build a perception in society, resulting in the attraction of various interests disana.Pada generally a television station is affected by the strength of the owner, the advertising, and rating. One local TV station, ADiTV, has the additional element that also affects the identity tayangannya Muhammadiyah, as its founder. In this study, using a qualitative descriptive. Through descriptive method will be able to explain the phenomenon in detail and presents a more detailed analysis that can not afford revealed by quantitative methods. The identity of a television media is very important to determine the standard of impressions and development of the company in the long term. Ambiguity status Muhammadiyah TV ADiTV whether or not can be detrimental for both parties ADiTV either alone or Muhammadiyah. ADiTV losses include the whole range ADiTV can not freely determine the policy, especially pertaining to the propaganda value of Muhammadiyah

Abstract

This study aims to analyze changes in communications in disaster mitigation innovation in communication of society in disaster-prone areas with the events of Mount Merapi eruption in 2010. The method used is descriptive research data collection through observation and interviews with community territory in the hamlet Kalitengahkidul, Glagaharjo village, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The concept used is the diffusion of innovation, information and disaster mitigation. The results showed there were adoption of innovations related to the disaster mitigation community communication. Communication changes occur in the communication tools used, sources of information to determine the evacuation decision making, communication, community groups define the disaster mitigation procedures, sources of information about volcanic activity and the priority that must be performed during emergency response and post-disaster recovery period. Findings of the study after the eruption of 2010 appears attitude residents of disaster-prone region more independent and have the initiative in adopting innovations disaster mitigation, especially in terms of communication among communities in the face of potential disasters that will arise.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the form of social communication in Sadranan ceremony tradition. Research method that uses for collecting data are qualitative descriptive with interview, observation, documentation and study literature. Data are analyzed using validity techniqueas triangulated-source. This research investigates pre-procession, performance and post-ceremonial of Sadranan. Values that presented in Sadranan ceremonial consist of kinship and mutual-help. The discussion is refers to Theory of Symbol, Cultural Theory, and Interaksionisme simbolis by. Conclusions that can be drawn are Sadranan ceremony, as a symbol has dual concept namely general concept as grave-pilgrimage and specific concept as thankfulness to God the One, welcoming Ramadhan, praying forgiveness for ancestor spirit, and maintaining social relation during Sadranan procession. Sadranan ceremony is one of communication element with urges people to meet and communicate. Sadranan ceremony as native costum remain performed till nowadays and develops which represent native custom particularly Karangturi village. It is also concluded that Sadranan ceremony has be through value modification which inserted with Islam principles.

Abstract

Public relations is one of the elements that determine the viability of an organization positively. The purpose of the research; 1). Knowing the planning public relations strategies in support of marketing; 2). Knowing the kinds of public relations activities; 3). Knowing the packaging contents of the message of the communication media used; 4). Knowing the effect to be achieved; and 5). Knowing the obstacles faced. The method used descriptive qualitative. Results of the study are: 1. Judging from the background criteria for Public Relations of PT. PLN (Persero) APJ Cirebon is formal education, job experience, appearance, skills, individual characteristics, and adaptation, credible communicator. 2. Kegiatan Public Relations to support the marketing of which the existence of a local radio talk show in Cirebon (Cirebon FM), a local television talk show in Cirebon (RCTV), cooperation in carrying out tasks related to corporate law. 3. Packaging persuasive message content, preparation of informative messages are intended to provide excitement and build consumer understanding. 4. The effect achieved a change in opinions, attitudes and behavior. 5. Barriers found limited use of communication media and the lack of communication superiors and subordinates

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) Find out the content of Blusukan Pecinan on Pojok Kampung Programme segments in JTV Surabaya; 2) Find out Public Perceptions of Tionghoa Ethnic in Kampung Kapasan Dalam Surabaya regarding to the Segment of Blusukan Pecinan in JTV Surabaya. The methodh of this research is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the content of Segment Blusukan Pecinan in JTV is culture consist of art, tradition, culture and culinary with the percentage 60% Tionghoa’s culinary and 40% general culinary. Relating to the attention factors, functional factors, the perception of the image and complexity message, Tionghoa Ethnic public in Kampung Kapasan Dalam Surabaya perceive the Blusukan Pecinan as good segments, interesting, gives information and insights, and able to keep the culture of Tionghoa Ethnic. The using of three languages in the Blusukan Pecinan Segment Suroboyoan Language, Mandarin and Indonesia as unique thing which characterizes the Segment of Blusukan Pecinan and it should be retained. The suggestions for Blusukan Pecinan Segment is the time and duration of views should be more added so the information more depth.
