Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kondisi perairan pada kolong pasca tambang melalui pengukuran berbagai parameter perairan, merumuskan model kemungkinan hubungan antara berbagai parameter perairan pada kolong yang diukur, dan merumuskan hubungan parameter pH dengan parameter kualitas perairan lainnya berdasarkan model yang diperoleh pada kolong pasca tambang timah. Sampling lokasi penelitian dilakukan pada tiap kabupaten/kota di Pulau Bangka dengan cluster sampling. Pengukuran parameter kualitas perairan meliputi pengukuran nilai pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), suhu, kekeruhan dan ketercemaran logam berat. Hubungan semua variabel hasil penelitian dianalisis secara matematis dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda sebagai model kualitas lingkungan perairan pasca tambang timah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada kolong tua, diperoleh hubungan yang cukup linier antara pH dengan parameter suhu, DO, dan kecerahan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar R = 0,81 dan koefisien determinasi R2 = 65%. Pada kedua jenis kolong lainnya model hubungan anatara pH dengan parameter lainnya belum menunjukkan linearitas yang cukup signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian logam berat, beberapa jenis logam yang terdeteksi dari sampel air kolong adalah logam Pb, Cd, dan Fe.

Abstract

Kajian aktifitas senyawa antibakteri Actinobacillus sp dari larva ikan patin siam (Pangasius hypopthalmus) terhadap bakteri Aeromonas hydrophilla dilakukan dengan mengisolasi bakteri dari larva ikan patin siam, identifikasi bakteri, pengujian daya hambat terhadap pertumbuhan Aeromonas hydrophilla dan analisa senyawa antibakteri pada metabolit Actinobacillus sp. Hasil uji penghambatan pertumbuhan menunjukan bahwa dari 6 isolat bakteri yang diidentifikasi, Actinobacillus sp memiliki kemampuan penghambatan yang lebih besar dibandingkan isolat bakteri lainnya. Berdasarkan waktu pertumbuhan bakteri Actinobacillus sp, daya hambat terbesar diperoleh pada fase kematian (jam ke-24). Senyawa antibakteri yang terdapat pada metabolit Actinobacillus sp berdasarkan hasil analisa GCMS adalah Hexanedioic acid bis (2-ethylhexyl) ester dengan area 24,75%

Abstract

Tin mining activities in Bangka regency coastal areas are directly or indirectly give pressure significantly to the degradation of aquatic ecosystems including coral reef ecosystems that affect spawning, feeding, fishing ground of fish resources and other marine biota. The purpose of this study is to examine the content of heavy metals Pb, Cd, Cr in wastewater from tin mining activities in the coastal waters of Bangka Regency, to examine the content of heavy metals Pb, Cd, Cr of the sea waters which is tin mining activities occurred in the coastal area of Bangka Regency and to examine the content of heavy metals Pb, Cd, Cr in the sediments which is tin mining activities occurred in the coastal area of Bangka Regency. Methods of research conducted by direct observation in the field, data collection and laboratory testing. Data taken in the form of water quality parameters, residual waste leaching, sea water and sediment which caught in active tin mining areas. The content of heavy metals test results compared to heavy metal environmental quality standards for marine biota water based Kep 51/MENLH/2004 and the sediment by IADC / CEDA. The measurement results of water quality parameters are as follows: TSS value was on environmental quality standards (20 mg/l). There are 109 mg/l, 208 mg/l, 65 mg/l, 75 mg/l, 120 mg/l, 188 mg/l and 63 mg/l; Brightness was on environmental quality standards (SNI 05-2413-1991 less than 5 m) ranged from 0.05 to 0.08 m; Temperature 28-320C standard is still appropriate; salinity standards are ranging from 27 to 29 o/oo; Density Oxygen (DO) 7 to 9.8 ppm standard is 5 ppm (SNI 06-6989. 14-2004); The Degree of Acidity (pH) 6 to 7 pH is still qualify. The content of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cr) in wastewater from tin mining activities was on environmental quality standards that has become environmental pollutants. The content of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cr) in the seawater which is tin mining activities occurred in the coastal area of Bangka Regency have been on the environmental quality standards that has been categorized as polluted seawater. The content of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cr) in the sediment remained below the environmental quality standards of heavy metal content in the sediment

Abstract

Gonggong snails is a type of sea slug that has long been known to the public of Bangka Belitung. That has a fairly high economic value and is the typical food of Bangka Island, known as crackers gonggong snails . This is why this biota often hunted excessively without loss of control that affect populations decrease in nature. This research aims to know the abundance of gonggong snails associated with seagrass in the coastal Tukak village and the relationship between gonggong snails abundance with the seagrass ecosystems. Research was conducted in March-August 2011 at the Coast Tukak Village. Data retrieval consists of three stations, where each station is divided into three substations, each substation consists of three transect squares. Data taken included closure per type of seagrass, totally closure of seagrass, all types of gonggong snails and the water physico-chemical parameters. The results of physics and chemical parameters obtained water temperature ranges from 31-340C, 100% brightness, depth of 21-33 cm, flow rate from 0.027 to 0.051 m / s, pH 7.5 to 8, salinity 28-330/00 with a sandy mud bottom substrate . Gonggong snails that found on the research site is only one type of species of Strombus canarium, including Strombidae Family, Classes of Gastropoda in Mollusca phyllum. The size of gonggong snail shells that found at the research site approximately ranged from 6.9 to 8.1 cm and 0.1 to 0.8 pcs/m2 abundance with a random distribution patterns tend to cluster. Relations density/closure of seagrass with an abundance of gonggong snails does not have a significant relationship. The species of seagrasses also affect gonggong snails abundance, there are 6 species of seagrass found in the Coastal Tukak Village is Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Thalassia hemprichii, Enhalus acoroides, Halodule uninervis and Halophila minor. Of the six types of seagrass found in only three seagrass species are positively related to the abundance of gonggong snails, that is Halodule uninervis, Halophila minor and Enhalus acoroides
