Abstract

This research aims to test vigor Echinochloa crus-galli weeds toward seven species of plants which are known have alelopati potential as herbicide vegetation to reduce vigor Echinochloa crus-galli weeds. This research was conducted   in laboratorium Balai Proteksi Tanaman Perkebunan of Bengkulu Province, which started from January to March 2011. The method of this research was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with single factor that was alelopaty extract treatment which was done as follow: Control (with aquadestilata), Bermuda Grass (Cynodan dactylon), Corn (Zea mays), Sapphire (Pogosthemon cablin), Pinus (Pinus spp),  Teki  Grass     (Cyperus  rotundus),  Saegegrass  (Imperata  cylindrica),  Jarak  Plant (Jatropha curcas). Each treatment was repeated five times. The result of the test showed that alelopaty treatment was significantly influenced the decreasing of vigor Echinochloa crus- galli weeds. Alelopati of Bermuda Grass (Cynodan dactylon), Corn (Zea mays), Sapphire (Pogosthemon cablin), Pinus (Pinus spp), Teki Grass   (Cyperus rotundus), Saegegrass (Imperata cylindrica), Jarak Plant (Jatropha curcas) were able to reduce vigor Echinochloa crus-galli weeds.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to now affects of bokashi formulation made of cow manure and empty oil palm fruit bunches from SISKA Bengkulu on immature oil palm plants which had been done on January to September 2015 in Bumi Ayu village, Slebar sub-distric, Bengkulu Province.This research used Randomized Complate Block Design (RCBD) to evaluate 6 treatment were F0 = control; F1 = cow manure; F2 = 1/3 of cow manure + 2/3 of empty fruit bunch; F3 = = 1/2 of cow manure + 1/2 of empty fruit bunch; F4 == 2/3 of cow manure + 1/3 of empty fruit bunch; and F5 = empty fruit bunch.The results showed that the treatment of bokashi of cow manure and empty oil palm fruit bunches from SISKA Bengkulu had no significant affects on soil pH and changeable Al but had sicnificant effects on N, P, K, and Mg nutrients of immature oil palm plants. Control treatment (F0) = synthetic fertilizer applied at normal rate, showed the highest increasing of N,P,K, and Mg nutrient, It was sicnificantly different from all other treatments for further research (F1, F2, F3, F4, and F5), it is recommended to see the effects of fertilizing residue on the next 6 months which will be done on March 2016 to get formulation can substitute synthetic fertilizer on immature oil palm plants.Keywords: Bokashi, Tandan Kosong Sawit, kotoran sapi Siska Bengkulu

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : a) pengaruh pupuk organic cair urine sapi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung manis, b) untuk mengetahui dosis terbaik pupuk organic urine sapi pada pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung manis yang mampu menggantikan penggunaan pupuk kimia NPK. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktor Tunggal dengan enam traraf perlakuan dan empat kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) urine sapi berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap  pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. 2) Pemberian pupuk Urea sebanyak 400 kg/ha (96 g/bedeng), SP.36 sebanyak 350 kg/ha (84 g/bedeng) dan KCl 100 kg/ha (24 gr/bedeng) memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung manis tertinggi. 3) Pemberian pupuk    rganic cair dengan dosis 5000 l/ha memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil yang optimal bila dibandingkan dengan penggunaan dosis POC urine sapi yang lain

Abstract

The investigation was done to use the allelopathical potency of tested weeds as botanical herbicide, to find the best concentration of weed extract, to find the effect of allelopathy to either weed of onion or the onion. The experiment was carried out in experimental land of Agriculture Faculty, The University of Hazairin, North Bengkulu and Laboratory of Agronomy for four months.The experiment was arranged factorially in a randomized block design with three replications. The kinds of extract weeds were Imperata cylindrica, Cyperus rotundus, Mikania micrantha and Ageratum conyzoides. Concentration was applied at 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%.The result concluded that extract, concentration or interaction of the two not only affected insignificant to growth and yield of onion but also dry weight of weed. However, extract of Cyperus rotundus tent to suppress the weed around the onion. Concentration of extract showed inconsistent response to all parameters. It probably because the concentration was still low so that the effect of maintenance was dominant.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menemukan jenis decomposer yang lebih baik dan lebih murah dalam proses pengomposan dengan bahan dasar jerami padi dan limbah kebun sawit.  Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah bagi kelompok tani dapat menghasilkan pupuk kompos yang lebih cepat dengan kualitas kompos yang lebih baik dengan menggunakan activator yang  efektif dan lebih murah. Hasil kompos dapat digunakan untuk menambah pendapatan selain itu dapat memperbaiki sanitasi sawah dan kebun sawit dan yang paling penting mengurangi biaya usahatani padi sawah dan usahatani budidaya sawit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua bahan limbah dapat digunakan untuk untuk pembuatan bokhasi dengan pemberian ketiga dekomposer tersebut sebagai perlakuan, namun penggunaan EM-4 untuk bahan dasar pelepah sawit yang hasil komposnya disebut dengan bokhasi dan penggunaan activator Tricho-G untuk bahan dasar jerami yang hasil komposnya disebut dengan Trichokompos menunjukkan kualitas fisik maupun kualitas kimia yang lebih baik dari perlakakuan lainnya.  Penggunaan  EM-4 biakan menunjukkan kualitas  kompos yang dihasilkan  tidak terlalu jauh berbeda dengan aktivator lainnya sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai alternative untuk menekan biaya produksi kompos.

Abstract

This study was aimed to study whether jengkol peel extract could suppress the growth of weed of Echinochloa cuss-galli, and the dose of it that effectively suppress the E. cuss-galli. This research was conducted in Teluk Segara sub district, Bengkulu from Desember 2012 to February 2013. The experimental design used was completely randomized with five replications. Jengkol extract dose treatmen were 0 g (as a control), 100 g, 200 g, 300 g, 400 g, 500 g extract each 250 ml of water. The research concluded that jengkol ekstract affect the growth of E. cuss-galli. Jengkol extract could suppress the growth of E. cuss-galli. The higher dose of extract caused the lower the growth of weeds E. cuss-galli.

Abstract

The study aims to find the planting medium and the type of shade is best for the growth of celery grown organically. Research has been conducted between May and August 2015 held at the Village Panorama City Subdistrict Singaran Pati Bengkulu. The research method using a split plot design with the main plot and subplot type of shade is kind of growing media. Conclusion The study shows the plant celery cultivated organically showed the best response to the medias treatment bokhasi with a composition of 100% bokhasi without soil mix both material waste oil mapun waste chaff (A and D), while a given soil mixture (B and C) the results are not better because of growing media becomes denser. The combination of media with bokhasi 100% (A and D) without soil can be maintained under the auspices of the Annual plants (N2) and under the auspices of zinc or terrace house (N3). Abstract

This study was aimed to find the effect of various methods of manure management and to determine the best method on growth and production of highland rice Situ Bagendit variety. The reseach was conducted in the Rimbo Kedui Village South Seluma District Seluma regerency from February to June 2011. This study was arranged in randomized block design to examine the 5 treatments with 4 replications. The treatments studied were synthesis fertilizer, manure+sand, manure+husk, Bokashi, and manure only. Result showed that the various methods of manure management cignificantly affected all of variables except plant heiglat on 8 weeks after planting/wap, shoot number on 6 and 8 wap, and biomas dry weight. organic fertilizer was better than synthetic fertilizer. However the various methods of manure management gave efferent effect to the growth and yield. Bokashi method was the best treasure which can push the rice to produce 4.126 kg.ha-1.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kotoran kerbau dengan penambahan jerami padi menggunakan Trichoderma Sp terhadap karakteristik kompos. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Non Faktorial 6 taraf perlakuan yaitu : A0 (kotoran kerbau 100%), A1 (kotoran kerbau 98% + 2% jerami padi), A2 (kotoran kerbau 96% + 4% jerami padi), A3 (kotoran kerbau 94% + 6% jerami padi), A4 (kotoran kerbau 92% + 8% jerami padi), dan A5 (kotoran kerbau 90% + 10% jerami padi). Data hasil pengamatan dari masing-masing perlakuan dianalisis secara statistik, dan apabila berbeda nyata akan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Lanjut Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5 %. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompos kotoran kerbau dengan penambahan jerami padi menggunakan aktivator Trichoderma Sp tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan, namun nilai suhu kompos tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan A4 (kotoran kerbau 92% + 8% jerami padi) yaitu 32,900C, penyusutan bahan tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan A1 (kotoran kerbau 98% + 2% jerami padi) yaitu 24,00%, dan nilai pH paling rendah terdapat pada perlakuan A2 (kotoran kerbau 96% + 4% jerami padi) yaitu 7,03. Hasil pengamatan tekstur kompos kotoran ternak kerbau dengan penambahan jerami padi menggunakan Trichoderma Sp bertekstur sedikit kasar, gembur dan berwarna hitam.
