Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of Feasibility of "Cahaya Ummul " Milling. Determination of the object and location of the study was intentionally determined. The results showed that the analysis of the payback period or the length of time the investment will be returned occurred in 9 years 3 months, NPV analysis or estimated future cash flows discounted at 14% with a total NPV of 232,480,306 > 0 (positive), Net B / C analysis is the value of the ratio between the number of positive net benefit PVs with the number of negative net benefit PVs obtained a value of 1.19> 1, and the IRR analysis of the efficient level of an investment of 21,016% with an interest rate of 14% when evaluating. So this business was declared worth the effort.

Abstract

The aims of this experiments was to evaluate the appropriate concentration of BAP for shoots induction of orange via in vitro culture. This experiment was conducted in Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University from Mei to August 2017.  This experiment used a Completely Randomized Design with five treatments, namely 0.5 ppm BAP, 1.0 ppm BAP, 1.5 ppm BAP, 2.0 ppm and 2.5 ppm..  Data was analyzed using analysis of variance and differences between means of the treatments were determined by Honestly Significant Difference test at 5% level.  Results of this experiment indicated that the most suitable concentration of BAP for the shoots induction of orange was the medium culture supplemented with 0.5 ppm BAP. In such medium composition, the quickest and the highest number of shoot formation was obtained as well as the highest number of leaf formation at 6 weeks after culture, namely 3.02 days after culture, 1.52 shoots and 2.40 leaves per explant, respectively.

Abstract

The purposes of this research the examine the effectiveness various concentrations neem leaf ekstract on the intensity of attack Liriomyza spp on shallot Lembah Palu variety . Field research was carried out in Guntarano Village, Tanantovea Subdistrict, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi.  This research conducted from February to April 2016 .The experiment was done using Randomized Complete Block  Design with three replications, consists of six  treatments, i.e. P0 : control (without aplication neem leaf ekstract); P1: neem leaf ekstract 10 gr /litre;  P2 : neem leaf ekstract 20 gr / litre; P3 : neem leaf ekstract 30 gr / litre; P4 : neem leaf ekstract 40 gr / litre; P5 : neem leaf ekstract 50 gr / litre. To find out the effect of threatment, the analysis of variance, and the real influence is continued with the standard  ? = 0.05 BNT test.  The results showed that use of seed and leaf extracts of neem plant can control Liriomyza spp attack, only 3,04 percent of attack rate and shallot Lembah Palu variety productivity is 3,02/area.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of social domographic factors with the behavior of farmers in applying pesticides to shallots in Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency. This research uses quantitative methods using univariate analysis for frequency distribution and bivariate analysis (chi square) to determine the correlation between variables. Both use Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) 20.0. Determination of the location of the study was conducted purposively based on previous observations. The area is a center of shallot and horticulture plants in Sigi Regency, namely; Oloboju Village and Bulupountu Village, Sigi Biromaru District. The results of the study concluded that the use of pesticides by shallot farmers was over intensity with the reason for maximum production results. Unwise behavior of farmers in controlling pests and diseases with the high use of pesticides in the field, shows that there is no relationship between age, education, experience and Integrated Pest controlling (IPC) training with the behavior of shallot farmers in applying pesticides.

Abstract

One area that has oil palm plantations is Makmur Jaya Village, Tikke Raya District, Pasangkayu Regency (formerly called North Mamuju Regency), West Sulawesi Province. One of the problems in the cultivation of oil palm is weeds. This study aims to determine the types of puzzle weeds in the oil palm plantation in Makmur Jaya Village, Tikke Raya District, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi Province. Based on the research, there were 3 types of puzzle weeds in the Makmur Jaya Village oil palm plantation, namely Cyperus compressus, C.rotundus, and Fimbristylis milliacea. Riddle weeds have leaves similar to narrow-leaf weeds, but have a mendong stem (consisting of only one long segment) and are also triangular in shape. Riddle weeds have allelopathic compounds which make it difficult for palm oil plants to grow.

Abstract

The existence of a type of parasitoid in an area with a certain height is largely determined by several factors, including the physical environment, space, feed sources, the presence of other parasites and human intervention. The purpose of this study was to determine the community structure of parasitoid associated with stone leek leafminer including abundance index, diversity index and dominance index in several locations of onion planting in Bali. Field surveys are conducted regularly during one planting season. On the location of onion plantations with an altitude of<500 m asl, covering the Badung Regency and Gianyar Regencies, on the onion planting area at that location no parasitoid was found (abundance index R1 = 0.00; diversity index H?= 0.00; dominance index D = 0.00). In locations with a height of ?500-1000 m asl, covering several locations in Tabanan Regency, there were 2 types of parasitoid, Hemiptarsenus varicornis as many 3 adult (abundance index R1 = 0.6213; diversity index H? = 0.2544; dominance index D = 0.0100) and Opius sp. 22 adult (abundance index R1 = 6.5239; diversity index H?= 0.1125; dominance index D = 0.7700). In locations with an altitude of ?1000 m asl, covering several locations in Tabanan Regency and Bangli Regency, there were also 2 types of parasitoid namely H. varicornis 5 adult (abundance index R1 = 1.2941; diversity index H? = 0.3380; dominance index D = 0.0433) and Opius sp. 17 adult (abundance index R1 = 5.1763; diversity index H?= 0.2013; dominance index D = 0.5887).

Abstract

Indonesia as the worlds major producer and supplier of rattan, but most of Indonesias rattan production relies on natural rattan sources. The fact that natural rattan is generally harvested after the age of more than 4 years, is not proportional to harvesting at any time, and threatens the preservation of rattan, so research on rattan cultivation is important. This study focuses on the growth and absorption of Noko rattan seedlings varieties (Daemonorops sp.) in response of organic and inorganic fertilization. Research was conducted in the glass house of UNTAD, using factorial design of 2 (two) factors. Factor I consists of 2 (two) levels, namely: (B0) without bokashi, and (B1) bokashi 10 t / Ha. Factor II consists of 7 (seven) variations of Nitrogen and Phosphorus treatments. The results showed that the treatment of organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer had no significant effect on dry weight or nitrogen uptake (N) or N network. However treatment with bokashi showed a tendency of dry weight and alsoN uptake or N tissue higher than treatment without bokashi. In this study, treatment with bokashi added Urea fertilizer gives the best influence on the growth of Noko rattan seedlings.

Abstract

This research aims to study and know the factors the production of red onion plant, has been implemented in Bulupountu Jaya, Sigi Biromaru, Sigi, Central Sulawesi. The results of this research is expected to be an information for the farmer about the factors that affect the production of red onion plant. The research was conducted from June to August 2016 in Bulupountu Jaya , Sigi Biromaru , Sigi , Central Sulawesi. Selection of the location of this research is based on that Bulupountu Jaya Village is the majority of red onion farmer. The method used is quantitative research method by survey and interviews to farmers red onion farming in Bulupountu.Location determination by purposive sampling and respondents by Multistage Random Sampling, through the stages : a.Specify the hamlet representing Bulupountu area, Specify farmer groups in each hamlet, c. Specify five respondents in each farmer groups, so there are 20 respondents. The results of this research indicate that the factors of land area, the amount of fertilizer, the number of seeds, the use of pesticides and pest control affect production in the development of onion farming in Bulupountu Jaya Village, Sigi Biromaru Subdistrict Sigi Regency Central Sulawesi Province

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of some insecticides on the population development and attack Liriomyza sp on local Palu onions. The research conducted from Februari to April 2017, at Guntarano village, Tanantovea Sub-District, Donggala District. The study used Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of four treatments, namely Po.Control; P1. Abamectin; P2. Azadiractin; P3. Dimohipo. Each treatment was repeated three times so that 12 treatments were obtained. The results showed that the insecticidal treatment had an effect on the development of the varied Liriomyza sp. Adult population at various plant age levels. Observations on plant age 5 and 6 of MST showed that abamectin insecticides were effective in suppressing the growth larvae populations of Liriomyza sp compared with the treatment of Azadiractin, Dimohipo and non-treated insecticides.

Abstract

Microbial consortium exploration in an ecosystem is a series of activities aimed at obtaining microb living in a consortium and beneficial to plant growth.The study aimed to obtain leaf and soil samples in various plants within an ecosystem, as a source of a consortium of microbial phyllosphere and rhizosphere to be tested for their effectiveness in increasing the growth and yield of rice crops. The method of determining the location is based on the method of transect sampling/line intersep plot design on an area of 5,196.02 km2. Site determination based on purposive sampling includes ecosystems: rice fields, gardens, pastures and forests.The results showed that, Sigi District has biodiversity in various ecosystems that have potential as source of consortium of microbial phyllosphere and rhizosphere. From the exploration results obtained a sample of 48 species of plants consisting of plants under the level of 30 species, 12 pile poles and 6 types of stakes. The results of the isolation of leaf and soil samples obtained 144 consortium of microbial phyllosphere and 48 consortium of microbial rhizosphere. The obtained consortium was then tested for its effectiveness on the growth and yield of rice crops in the next stage of the study
