Abstract

This Study aims to produce a model learning device discovery learning with scientific approach to improve the character charged valid creative thinking, practical and effective. The model refers to a model of learning development includes activities Plomp initial investigation, design, realization/contruction, testing, evaluation and revision. The results showed that (1) learning tools developed valid; syllabus ehit an average of 3,3 (very good); RPP with an average of 3,2 (good); LKS with an average of 3,2 (good); textbook student with an average of 3,3 (very good); and TKBK with an average of 3,5 (good).; (2) the stated learning practical , namely: 1) the activity of student on both criteria, an average score 74,1%; 2) the activity of the teacher are very good on the criterion, the average score of 98,25; 3) positive teacher response, a score of 97,14; 4) positive students response, average 89,73.; (3) the learning of mathematics is declared effective the indicator 1) traffic to think creatively achieve mastery with the average value of 71,55 and a classical completeness reaches 90%; 2) the average grade of creative thinking ability model of discovery learning with scientific approachis better than ekspositori class; 3) the character of the curiosity and skills to communicate a positive influence on the ability to think creatively; and 4) an increase in the ability to think creatively in class models discovery learning with scientific approach. Keywords: discovery learning, scientific approach, creative thinking ability.

Abstract

Learning paramasastra (grammar), especially paramasastra Java, in the SBC between two poles. On the one hand, learning grammar is important to determine how the students understanding of the Java language, on the other hand grammar learning integrable in four aspects already existing skills in the curriculum. Abstract

In Indonesia, social skills learning strategies into one of the specified component as a graduation requirement PPG (Professional Teacher Education). Abstract

At the elementary school level, teaching literature is still experiencing growth phase is quite difficult. Among difficulties faced by the teachers one of which is the lack of student interest in reading short stories to literature. Under these conditions, the purpose of this research is to increase interest in reading literary short story in the sixth grade students of SDN 02 Dawu District Paron, Ngawi. The subjects were 24 sixth grade students at SDN 02 Dawu studied using observation techniques. The results of the studies that have been done two cycles are known to increase in reading scores of students were assessed four aspects, namely the aspect of personal consciousness, volition, attention, and aspects of the feelings of pleasure. This study concludes that the approach sinektic the students interest at the rate of two cycles of 62.45 while still using the conventional approach, the numbers increased to 83.49 when students have experienced learning approach to rate hikes sinektic reading the sixth grade students of SDN Dawu 02 at 21.04. Keywords: Interest in reading, short stories, approaches sinektic

Abstract

Textbooks have become the main element of teaching and learning process. Studies have been conducted to develop instructional materials for the subject of PKn SD at Elementary School Teacher Training Study Program, but there is still limited textbooks with character content, when character have been debating recently. This research is attempetd to develop textbook of PKn SD with character content, by measuring students’ activity, achievement and response. This research is cunducted by class evaluation research method by applying 4-D model. The subjects of the research are 20 students of 5D and 20 of 5I, PGSD-IKIP PGRI Madiun. The results of the research shows that: the learning activity is good by 77.6% of sctive students; 95% of students achieve threshold level by 80.75; textbook is suitable used in average 83.2% and have positive response against the textbook. Keywords: Textbook, character education, PKn SD.

Abstract

Teaching media has been applied and studied since long ago, but the significance of interactive map media in teaching social science at elementary school has not yet developed. This research is attempted to depict: the students’ mastery on the places and sites, activeness and achievement. The research is conducted under two-cycle class action research on 30 students of four grade, SD Jetis, Bantul, Jogjakarta, at social science subject. The analysis brings about results that: (1) the students’ mastery increases, from 4 students in preliminary reserach becomes 11 in the first cycle and 26 in the second cycle of the research, who master the teaching materials. (2) Students’ activeness increases from 5 students in the prilimary research, to 10 in the first cycle and 28 in the second cycle, who are active in classes. (3) The students’ achievement also increase from 6 students to 15 in the first cycle and 29 in the second cycle, who achieve better mark. The results suggest that interactive map is effective in teaching social science for the students of four grade. Keywords : teaching social science, interactive map media.

Abstract

Recently, 2013 curriculum is the best curriculum that have ever had for school in Indonesia. Based on the design, this curriculum comprehend in building human (students) and anticipate for the future. 2013 curriculum is the first curriculum that contain behavior or character explicitly as a competence that must be achieved and organize balancing act between students’ soft skills and hard skill. In addition, Scoring of students’ achievement in learning done comprehensively and continuity use many kinds of strategies that related with competence indicator that will be measured. The success of curriculum in reaching the mission is not only determined by the design, but the important thing is the implementation in the field; realizing the 2013 curriculum in schools. Special for learning science in elementary school must instruct to develop thinking skills and creativity. The teaching learning process focuses on scientific approach and integrated 4 component result study in 2013 curriculum, they are: spiritual attitude, social attitude, creativity, and knowledge. Abstract

Multimedia is media that combine two or more elements are composed of text, graphics, images, photographs, audio, video, and animation are integrated. In multimedia-assisted learning, students are given the opportunity to learn not only of learning resources such as teachers, but give the opportunity to students to develop better cognitive, creative, and innovative. Cognitive Load Theory is a theory that was introduced as a teaching theory based on the knowledge of human cognitive architecture that we have. The main principle of Cognitive Load Theory is the quality of learning is enhanced if attention is concentrated on the role and limitations of working memory. Three cognitive load in working memory, which is intrinsic cognitive load, Germany cognitive load, and extraneous cognitive load. Keywords: Multimedia, Cognitive Load Theory, intrinsic cognitive load, Germany cognitive load, and extraneous cognitive load.

Abstract

Critical thinking in education has been widely practiced following the awareness that it helps a lot the students specifically in science subjects. In accordance with critical thinking ability in science, students who show ability on critical thinking will successfully cope with problems they encounter. Such ability hopefully works in their learning achievement. The objective of this research is to investigate the influence of creative and critical thinking on the achievement of the students of the Department of Primary Education IKIP PGRI Madiun in the class of Science Concepts II. The current study makes use of the descriptive correlational. As many as 191students enrolled the class of science concepts II in the academic year 2012/2013, out of 366 populations, serve as the sample through the proportional random sampling technique. Tests were administered to collect the data analyzed by applying descriptive analysis of double regression to assess the hypothesis in which SPSS PASW Statistics 18 was applied. Results show that there is significant correlation on the variables of creative and critical thinking on their achievement. The creative thinking contributes 20.13% while the critical thinking contribution is 21.53%. Other variables beyond this research contribute 58.34%. Key words: Creative Thinking Ability, Critical Thinking, Student Achievement
