Abstract

Many meanings are contained in one word that is spoken or written so that it is not interpreted. The research raises the meaning of the Five Souls of Modern Darussalam Gontor Cottage (PMDG) as the object of research. Because the five souls of the media have messages, language, and meanings relatedto the signs in the life of the students of each sign have relations, so that it produces meaning that depends on the perspective of the text reader, this study aims to find the meaning of the five souls of PMDG. This study used a literature study. The study of signs or semiotics, researchers used Roland Barthes?s semiotic analysis of signified, signifier, denotative, connotative and also myths. This study found meaning as follows: soul sincerity means sincere lill, simplicity does not mean destitute, selfsufficient able to work alone, Ukhuwwah Islam a way of socializing and freedom as an act of values that includes all the arrangements that animate the cottage so as not to get out of bounds. Abstract

The conflict is one of the phenomena that occurs as part of the dynamics of the community. Among the social conflict that rooted strongly in the community of the city of Mataram was the conflict Monjok and Karang Taliwang. Therefore, this research aims to know the background of the occurrence of social conflict, the impact of conflict on the lives of communities and communications in an effort to approach conflict resolution in an environment of Monjok and Karang Taliwang. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis used was the reduction of the data, the presentation of data, and the withdrawal of the conclusion. To test the validity of the data, the researchers conducting the study, extra time triangulation of methods and sources, and the associated examination. The results obtained in this study are a conflict that occurs between the citizens of Monjok and Karang Taliwang triggered by the removal of the trash container by Karang Taliwang minimal coordination and dissemination so as to trigger the action of the destruction caused by the citizens Monjok. Another trigger is a young man?s dispute and the existence of a third party that provokes the situation for transferability. So, the impact on the conflict; psychological society,communication, economic impact and stalled social impact. Therefore, some approaches used in handling the conflict approach is communication through Consolas, the communication approach through negotiations or deliberations, approach to communication through mediation and communication approaches involving stakeholders.Keywords: Conflict Resolution, Social Conflict, Communication

Abstract

Social media as a medium of information and public communication at this time, became a medium of propaganda for preachers to deliver their propaganda widely. People who need a self-image that can get people and their preaching can be easily accepted by the community (mad?u). How does a preacherbreak his image involved in social media, how the preacher prepares the image before Mad?u (the area behind the stage), how the preacher displays the image before Mad?u (front stage area), and How Da?i denied his popularity in the community as a trust from what should be opposed to him in the massmedia (out of the regional stage) into the formulation of the problem in this study. A preacher uses a variety of ways so that the purpose of his da?wah is successful. Self-image is used to attract the attention of the target of the Da?wah (mad?u). Before dealing with mad?u for da?wah, a preacher made some preparations to present a self-image that was confirmed before mad?u. Remember the full meaning of belief in him. Convincing self-image approved by the preacher, it will give a positive impression also by mad?u. Convincing here, it can be seen from the attitudes, clothes, and sayings of the preacher. A preacher needs that trust to succeed in carrying out his da?wah. Abstract

Maintaining the preservation of local culture is a necessity in the era of the development of the industrial revolution 4.0, especially among the younger generation. Jetis 1 Junior High School is the only school in Ponorogothat holds a Reog Festival between classes each year. This is one indicator that the school is still concerned with the preservation of local culture in the midst of the onslaught of technology and the development of a disruptive era. The purpose of this study was to analyze the communication strategies of Jetis 1 Jetis in preserving Reog Ponorogo cultural arts. The method used in this study consisted of interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis is performed through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity uses triangulation of sources and methods. The results showed that Jetis 1 Jetis had carried out all stages of the communication strategy of getting to know the audience, composing messages, setting methods, and choosing media, but the overall implementation was not optimal. This research is expected to contribute to improving communication strategies in preserving Reog Ponorogo cultural arts especially through educational institutions.key words: reog ponorogo, communication strategy, local wisdom

Abstract

TVRI (Televisi Republik Indonesia) seeks to provide wise information for the public. However, because in the current era of the rapid rise of the media industry, it is very important that the TVRI Public Broadcasting Institution re-emerges before the public with a new identity as a counterweight and newshighlight that is able to voice community rights and promote cultural values and local wisdom. In rebranding, there are a number of things carried out by LPP TVRI namely implementing the Power Marketing mindset, which lies in 3 keys, first moving is done before TVRI rebranding can be passed from Kepsta, starting to form a small team for rebranding preparation. Second, Caring (caring) byinvolving every community and having innovation in developing companies such as the emergence of a new program ?? Good Morning East Java ?? which has the aim to greet residents and serve the East Java people. Third, Innovation is an effort of LPP TVRI to produce new products and innovations to move forward with the aim of being an institution that has a vision and mission for unifying the nation. This can be seen in the change in the new logo, color and organizational culture. In the perspective of the Islamic Media Industry, Islam is a religion that strongly advocates for creating brotherhood and unity of various differences. TVRI as public television also implements as its slogan the unifying media of the nation, naturally responsible as a media that is able to disseminate interestinginformation with the aim of being a media that is able to serve the public so as to create brotherhood.Keywords: Rebranding; Logo; Islamic Media Industry

Abstract

Religion which was originally in the realm of real reality, must now be included in the realm of virtual reality which clearly has very different characteristics. This new reality is characterized by simulation, artificiality, immersion, networked communication, and telepresence. Through a study of social media followers of Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS), this study seeks to raise a number of fundamental questions, including: 1) how is the construction of religious understanding of followers of the social media account of UAS? 2) What are the models ofreligious understanding of UAS followers? 3) How is the content of UAS lectures on social media that provoke the pros and cons of religious understanding as a new religious authority ?. By using qualitative research methods through content analysis, and adopting the social construction paradigm developed by Peter L. Berger, this study produced several findings: First, the expression of religious ideas in the official account of Ustadz Abdul Somad, whether in the form of agreement or not, not rarely done using a variety of ways, ranging from rude statements, appreciative, and even intimidating. Secondly, the virtual society understanding model gives rise to a more open and free pattern of religious understanding. Third, free interaction in this virtual world in turn can lead to a more open attitude in dealing with differences. Fourth, free religious interaction has implications for religious discourse as if without any restrictions. Various religious understandings meet in a virtual world without anyone being ableto control

Abstract

In this article, the authors chose to do a framing analysis built by western media in the Muslim shootings that took place in New Zealand. The media that the authors of the analysis are online media, BBC. After framing the author found several facts that, the BBC media always tuck in every beginning of the headline (which is related to the event) by using the sentence Christchurch Shootings. The BBC media also picked up a story of a hero in Naaem Rashid, one of the victims who fought against the shooter before being killed. This media also criticized several policies on the legality of possession of firearms in New Zealand and criticism of several social media that ?already? broadcasted videos containing shooting content and delays in some of the social media in removing videos thathad spread. BBC media did not mention that this act was an act of terrorism or even called Brenton Tarrant - the Actor of the Shooting - as a terrorist. In fact, this media does not mention the issue of religion which is one of the motives for the shooting carried out by Brenton. The media also did not mention victims based on their religion. This shows that the BBC media does not want to bring up the religious issue which is one of the factors in the shooting.Keywords: Christchurch Shooting, BBC online media, Framing

Abstract

Karakteristik pemikiran Kiai Hasyim Asy?ari tentang pendidikan karakter dalam kitab Adabul ?Alim Wal Muta?alim, dapat dikategorikan kedalam corak yang praktis dan berpegang teguh pada Alquran dan Hadist. Kecenderungan lain dari pemikiran beliau adalah mengetengahkan nilai-nilai etis yang bernafaskan sufistik. Kecenderungan ini bisa dilihat dari gagasan-gagasannya, misalnya keutamaan menuntut ilmu. Menurut Kiai Hasyim, ilmu dapat diraih jika orang yang mencari ilmu menyucikan hati dari segala kepalsuan, noda hati, dengki, iri hati, aqidah yang buruk dan akhlak tercela. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana konsep pendidikan karakter menurut K.H Hasyim Asy?ari dalam kitab Adabul ?Alim Wal Muta?alim dan juga bagaimana karakter yang harus dimiliki oleh murid terhadap guru menurut K.H Hasyim Asy?ari dalam kitab Adabul ?Alim Wal Muta?alim. Penelitian ini ditulis dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan dan dengan metode deskriptif-analitis yaitu mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis konsep pendidikan karakter menurut K.H Hasyim Asy?ari dalamkitab Adabul ?Alim Wal Muta?alim setelah itu kemudian karakter yang harus dimiliki oleh murid terhadap guru menurut K.H Hasyim Asy?ari dalam kitab Adabul ?Alim Wal Muta?alim. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa konsep pendidikan karakter menurut K.H Hasyim Asy?ari lebih ditekankan kepada: Pertama, memurnikan niat, Kedua, berperilaku qana?ah, Ketiga, bersikap wara?, Keempat, berperilaku tawadhu?, Kelima, berperilaku zuhud, Keenam, berperilaku sabar, Ketujuh, menghindari hal-hal yang kotor dan maksiat. Sedangkan karakter yang harus dimiliki oleh murid terhadap guru menurut K.H Hasyim Asy?ari yaitu: Pertama, bersikap tawadhu?, Kedua, menghormati guru, Ketiga, berperilaku sabar.Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, K.H Hasyim Asy?ari, Kitab Adabul ?Alim Wal Muta?alim

Abstract

Young voters are very close to online life. Advertising as part of online media products should be able to provide knowledge and change attitudes to the audience. Likewise, peer groups or playing groups. The behavior of young voters will be greatly influenced by their peer group. And as peer group students can point to groups of friends to discuss, friends who can communicate with each other and understand each other among its members. How advertisements in online media and the role of peer groups influence the decisions of young voters.This research intends to prove the uses and gratification theory that audiences will seek and select media content to fulfill their interests in seeking presidential candidacy information. The theory is also supported by social conversation theory. The research methodology uses the Kendall analysis in which this analysis requires a significant and positive relationship to the variables. The analysis shows that there is a positive and significant relationship with sufficient results obtained between advertisements in online media on voting behavior and peer groups on the knowledge of voting for young voters. The conclusion of this research is that online mass media is very much a reference for young voters in gaining knowledge about candidates. The role of peer groups in studentsin the Semarang community is still strong. The idea recognition model will be more effective utilizing this peer group. This research is still far from perfect, the accuracy of the data because the selected variables are very limited so the relationship between variables needs to be supported by accurate supporting variables. This deficiency can be added to further research by adding or proving separately the groupthink theory and the muted theory.Keywords: online media, president, advertisement president, peer group

Abstract

This article focuses on examining the thinking of prominent religious scholars of Syria, Muhammad Sa?id Ramadhan al-Buthi in his work entitled Hakadh? Falnad?u Il? al-Islam related problem of da?wa which is getting stronger now. Example phenomena of distrust fellow muslim, dichotomy between the Islamic state and the heathen state, and muslim interactions with non-muslim families. That problematic da?wah now very easy to meet in various rare meeting houses, increasingly spread easily through social media. so that, this article want to further review in Muhammad Sa?id ramadhan al-Buthi?s view of what has been known as moderat religious scholars, and is one of the referrals many da?i in Indonesia.
