Abstract

Teachers who are less varied in teaching math can cause students to feel bored and saturated. The usual way teachers use is to memorize or remember the formula, so that burden the students brains because the ability of each student is different in memorization. Based on the above background, this study aims to determine the extent to which the use of methods can improve the ability of arithmetic numeracy. The division of students in class III SD Negeri 195 Pagaran Baru Kecamatan Kotanopan. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The results showed that in the first cycle there was an increase in students numeracy skills in the division of material from 47.36% or 9 students to 61.90% or 13 students with an increase of 14.54%. Results of reflection on the first cycle, the percentage of learning mastery less than 70% so that followed in cycle II. In the second cycle there was an increase of 73.68% or 14 students to 78.95% or 15 students with an increase of 5.26%. The results of reflection cycle II shows that with the use of the method of Jarimatika, the percentage of learning mastery has reached more than 70%, so there is an increase from cycle I to cycle II of 43.36%. Thus the use of the method of the finger can improve the ability to count The division of the students III SD Negeri 195 Pagaran Baru Kecamatan Kotanopan. Keywords: Jarimatic Method, Ability to Calculate Division.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low interest of physics student learning influence to the success of a process of physics learning. To overcome this problem, this research applied learning cycle model (Learning Cycle "5E"). This study aims to improve students learning creativity, student learning activities, teachers ability to manage learning and students interest in physical learning through learning cycle model (Learning Cycle "5E") on Cubes and Balok subjects in class VIII-2 SMP Negeri 4 Angkola Timur. Data analysis shows that for the cycle I there is increase cycle II. The result of observation of student activity on cycle I obtained by cycle II increase. Observation on the ability of teachers to manage to learn in cycle I am in the category of "good," and for cycle II there is an increase that is in the category of "very good". The above conclusions suggest that the implementation of the learning cycle model (Learning Cycle "5E") can be used in an effort to increase the students learning interest in physics and to the teacher, it is expected to implement the learning cycle model (Learning Cycle "5E") on other subjects on physics lessons or appropriate subjects. Keywords: Student Learning Interest, Learning Cycle Model "5e".

Abstract

his type of research is Class Action Research. Where the subject of the research is the grade X5 SMA Negeri 1 Angkola West which consists of 38 students. While the techniques and tools to capture data that is now, tests and observations. The percentage of students on mathematical disposition now cycle I was 50.26% to 81.57% in cycle II. With the amount of the percentage increase in students mathematical disposition of 31.31%. Understanding of the mathematical concepts of students increases, it is retrieved from the percentage of the cycle I 52.63% become 81.39% in cycle II, students and the amount of the percentage rose 28.94%. Students learn math activity increases; it is retrieved from 63.98% percentage of the cycle I and 63.98% in cycle II. With the amount of the percentage increase in the activity of students of 22.94%. The ability of the teacher to manage learning percentage amounted to 64.00% in cycle I and cycle II 83.00%, with an increase of 19.00%. The results of this study showed that the learning model Treffinger might improve the understanding of mathematical concepts and disposition of the students of class X5 SMA Negeri 1 Angkola West.Keywords: The Learning Model Treffinger, understanding Mathematical concepts, Dispositions, SPLDV.

Abstract

The Process of Improving the Creativity and Competence of Student Learning Using a Contextual Approach to the Material Class Ecosystem X1 SMA Negeri 1 Angkola Barat”. Thesis. Graduate Program of Padang State  University. This research is based on the problem of low creativity and competence of students in learning biology. From the daily tests, creativity and competence of students are still learning under (KKM) minimum criteria of a passing grade. Data were obtained from qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were collected through observation, field notes, and interviews. Quantitative data were obtained through cognitive tests, observation creativity, affective and psychomotor competencies. The was an analysis of the data used qualitative descriptive and statice technique. The result shows that the use of a contextual approach toward the ecosystem material can enhance creativity and learning competencies. The increase can be seen in each aspect of the creative learning, affective and psychomotor competencies ranging from pre-cycle, the first cycle, and second cycle. This increase is also seen in the results of the exam pre cycle ie, 61.80 in the first cycle, 66.66 and the second cycle 88.88. Based on the results, it can be concluded that contextual approach can improve the creativity and competence of students of class X1 Angkola Barat.Keywords: Contextual, Creativity, and Competence.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the planning developed by students eligible to be used as materials for planning in teaching in the field, teaching planning materials taught by SCL (Student-Centered Learning) approach. Knowing the creativity of biology teaching planning with Student-Centered Learning approach, as reference material for students to be developed effectively during Field Lecture Practice (PKL) and improve learning result of teaching planning of biology student. This research is research of thedevelopment of the4D model (four D model) with research procedure covering Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The data obtained are quantitative data of observer and qualitative data. Based on the results of the study, the average percentage of the five planning indicators obtained data from the average observer preparation above average teaching that is ≥ 3.00 and categorized "Good" but in the lesson setting is still not good, with Practicality teaching has started well but the lack of student confidence in making the material and not yet understand the basic skills of teaching that must be mastered by a teacher. Analysis of learning outcomes obtained anaverage percentage of 93% means students can already understand the process of making teaching planning that has been developed and effective for use in the learning process. Keywords:Development, Creativity, Learning Outcomes, Practicality.

Abstract

This research was carried out in SMP N 1 Purba Year 2016/2017 semester Learning Ancient odd located at Jalan Merdeka No. 16 Tiga Runggu. The subject in this study is grade VIII totaling 36 persons while the object of the research was the application of faqs for improving student learning outcomes. This type of research this is a class action research consists of two cycles. Tools used in the collection of data is a test, and teachers did and provided at the time of learning to take place to find out the results of the learning improvement of IPS students. The results showed that pre cycle data on the results of the study, IPS has an average of 36%. There are 23 students who completely (36%) fewer criteria and 23 students who do not complete (64%). On cycle I student learning results increased by an average of 53%. There are 19 students who finished (53%). Criteria that are not completely there are 17 students (47%). In cycle II, experiencing an increase of an average of 92% with and detailed contained 33 students who are finished (92%) and three students who do not complete (8%). Individually grade VIII has declared the results of the study, IPS are high after learning by using learning faqs. Keywords: Method of questioning, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

This research was carried outMadrasah Aliyah Nahdatul Ulama Batang Toru years lessons 2015-2016.This type of research is Research Action class (Classroom Action Research) using two cycles of learning. Each cycle starting from the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collecting techniques used is the test of creativity and observation. Data collection tools used is sheet tests the creativity and student activity observation sheet. Based on the results of the research action class that do obtain test results of creativity learning of biology students ranging from cycle to cycle I II was 1872 with an average of 72.0 with thepercentage of completeness (61.5%) and cycle II 2191 with an average completeness percentage with 84.27 (84.62%). Based on the analysis of data obtained the value of the observation activities of students in cycle I of 66.92% and cycle II of 82.30% observation rating and performance teacher at 67.25% of cycle I and cycle II of 92.9%. In cycle II, has experienced an increase of cycle I and already meets the criteria of research indicators of achievement, then this study finalized on cycle II.Keywords:Creativity, Quantum Teaching method, structure and function of plant tissue.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the concept of critical biological thinking which became one of the most important things in the learning process that is through the application of Contextual Teaching Learning Model (CTL). The reason for this research is to know the improvement of critical thinking of student biology through the application of Contextual Learning Model an the material. The human Regulation system in class XI  IPA1 SMA Negeri 1 North Panyabungan academic year 2016-2017. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. Where the subject of study is the students of class XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 1 North Panyabungan consisting of 25 students. While techniques and data collected. Based on the result of critical thinking test of the biology of students cycle I am 76%, and cycle II is 84,33%, and the result of the increase of student activity in the cycle is I is 68% and cyle II 86,40%.Keywords: Critical thinking of student biology, Contextual Learning model (CTL), human regulatory system.

Abstract

Understanding the concept as one of the keys to success in studying science especially Physics, so do not have to memorize the formula but enough just by understanding the concept alone. Based on observations during community research activities, some positive results were obtained: Participants showed very high attention to the material using PhET Simulation.From the preliminary test in cycle I the pretest score of about 10% is able to answer to 77.5%, while in cycle II the value of the dropper about 20% increased to 97.5%. While for the activity of students which cover the realm of ability to use PhET Simulation from 73,75% in cycle I increase to 85% in cycle II, Inenthusiasm Attitude enthusiasm using PhET Simulation from 75% in cycle I increased to 86,25% in cycle II, In the field of cooperation in the group using PhET Simulation of 72.5% in the first cycle increased to 86.25% in cycle II. In the realm of the ability to use worksheets in PhET Simulation from 75% in cycleI increased to 88.75% in cycle II. In the sphere of participation in the discussion using PhET Simulation from 75% in the first cycle increased to 86.25% in cycle II. The result of the research is the increasing of concept comprehension and the increasing of student learning activity.Keywords:PhET Simulation, Conceptual Understanding, Learning Activities

Abstract

There is a trend in the world of adult education is to get back on the idea that the child will learn better if the environment is created for real. Learning will be more meaningful if the child is experiencing its own what is studied, then approach based on the problem( Problem Based Learning ) as an option to turn the classroom so that students are taught with real, thus achieving results optimal learning.This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 1Pinangsori, held on 25 September to 25 November 2017. The research plan used is the class Act (PTK),and the criteria used include research qualitative research. Because the data source directly and using research as a gatherer of primary data. Based on the results of this research show that learning with the method of Problem Based Learning on the subject of Linear Programs can improve ketuntasan learning that is the average value of ketuntasan studied by 86.22 75.23%. The expectations of researchers, hopefully with the experience of researchers can be beneficial for a peers plunge in the world of education. Keywords: Motivation, Learning Outcomes learning, Berbasis Problem Based Learning, Linear Program.
