Abstract

Abstrak   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Spasial Siswa Melalui Penggunaan Model Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) di SMP Negeri 1 Pinangsori. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menggunakan model siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 1 Pinangsori. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes, angket, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah silabus, RPP, tes, angket, dan lembar observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dari dua siklus menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan spasial siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil tes kemampuan spasial siswa, dimana pada Siklus I nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 48,72% dengan rata-rata skor 73,51. Sedangkan pada Siklus II menunjukkan peningkatan yang cukup tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 87,18% dengan rata-rata skor 79,14.Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan spasial siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pinangsori.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan metakognitif siswa dengan kemampuan akademik yang tinggi, sedang, dan rendah untuk memecahkan masalah matematika pada siswa kelas XI MAN Panyabungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Informan penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru matematika, dan 15 siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan catatan lapangan, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan reduksi, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) siswa yang memiliki kemampuan matematika tinggi memiliki pemecahan masalah matematika yang sangat baik (metakognitif strategic use), (2) siswa yang memiliki kemampuan matematika sedang memiliki pemecahan masalah matematis yang baik (metakognitif aware use), dan ( 3) siswa yang memiliki kemampuan matematika rendah memiliki cukup pemecahan masalah matematika (metakognitif tacit use).

Abstract

This study aims to know whether there is an increase students’ mathematical communication ability by using Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Sibolga  2017/2018 Academic Year. The research was conducted by applying action research with 30 students as the subject. The research consisted   two cycles and the end of each cycle was given   a set of test. Based on descriptive analyzes, it could be found that a) The first cycle was found  22 students were completed (73.33%) through mathematical communication ability test and the second cycle was found 27 students were completed (90%), increase of 16.6% and b) the average of students’ mathematical communication ability in the first cycle was 70.41 (middle category) and in the second cycle was 81.45 (high category), increase of 11.04. It is concluded there is an increase students’ mathematical communication ability by using Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Sibolga  2017/2018 Academic Year.

Abstract

Abstract               The aims of this study is to: 1) describe of using talking stick learning model, 2) describe  effectiveness of using talking stick learning model,  and 3) whether there is a significant influence of using  talking stick learning model on students’ problem solving at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pinangsori. This research was conducted by applying experimental method with sample 38 students and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique. Questionnaire and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found that: (1) the score of using talking stick learning model was 3.94 (very good category), (2) the effectiveness of using talking stick learning model was maximal because there was an increase in the average value Furthermore by using inferential statistic (Pair Sample ttest), it could be found tcalculated was less than 0.05 ( 0,000 <0.05). It means there is a significant influence of using talking stick learning model on students’ problem solving at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pinangsori.

Abstract

This study aims to know whether there is students’ mathematic Problem Solving improvement through TAI learning model at the eleventh grade students of TKJ major of SMK Negeri 1 Lumut. The research was conducted by using Class Action Research (CAR) with 30 students as the sample.  The research consists of two cycles. The first cycle showed (a) the score of using TAI learning model was 7.43 (enough category), (b) the average of students’ mathematic problem solving was 74.0, and (c) 70% students got minimal mastery criteria. The research was continued to the second cycle, the result showed (a) the score of using TAI learning model was 9.5 (very good category), (b) the average of students’ mathematic problem solving was 84.08, and (c) 93.3% students got minimal mastery criteria. It was concluded there is students’ mathematic problem solving improvement through TAI learning model at the eleventh grade students of TKJ major of SMK Negeri 1 Lumut.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to: 1) describe of using inside outside circle learning model, 2) describe students’ mathematic communication ability before and after using inside outside circle learning model, and 3) describe effectiveness of using inside outside circle learning model on students’ mathematic communication ability at the seventh grade students SMP Negeri 1 Tantom Angkola. This research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with sample 30 students and they were taken by using simple random sampling technique. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found that: (a) the score of using inside outside circle learning model was 3.9 (very good category), b) the average of students’ mathematic communication ability before using inside outside circle learning model was 33.13 (fair category) and after using inside outside circle learning model was 84.40 (very good category), significant value was 0.00<0.05, and c) N-Gain value was 0.76 (high category), inside outside circle learning model was effective which had percentage 66.7% (effective criteria). It was concluded inside outside circle learning model increased students’ mathematic communication ability at the seventh grade students SMP Negeri 1 Tantom Angkola.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of students’ mathematical problem solving ability by applying cooperative learning model of CRH type at the eighth grade students of MTsN 1 Padangsidimpuan. The research was conducted by using Class Action Research (CAR) with 36 students as the subject. Test, questionnaire, field note, and documentation were used in collecting the data. The research consists of two cycles. The first cycle showed (a) the average of students’ mathematical problem solving ability was 75.07 and (b) the average of using cooperative learning model of CRH type was 74.60 ( enough category).The second cycle showed (a) the average of students’ mathematical problem solving ability was 83.35 and (b) the average of using cooperative learning model of CRH type was 90.08 (very good category).It was concluded applyingcooperative learning model of CRH type got the improvement on students’ mathematical problem solving ability at the eighth grade students of MTsN 1 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

This study aims to know whether there is a significant effectiveness of using two stay two stray learning model on students’ mathematical communication ability at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Kolang. The research was conducted by using experimental method with 35 students as the sample and they were taken by using cluster random sampling technique from74 students. Test and questionnaire were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analyzes, it could be found that a) the average of using two stay two stray learning model was 3.51 (very good category), (b)  before using two stay two stray learning model, the average of boys’ mathematical communication ability was 58.82 (less category) and girls’ mathematical communication ability was 57.17 (less category), and (c) after using two stay two stray learning model, the average of boys’ mathematical communication ability was 79.50 (good category) and girls’ mathematical communication ability was 82.50 (very good category).  Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using ttest (Pair Sample ttest), the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05. It is concluded two stay two stray learning model is effective to improve students’ mathematical communication ability at the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Kolang
