Abstract

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in activities and learning outcomes of chemistry of students by using concept maps through STAD type cooperative learning at SMK Negeri 1 Karawang. The method used was action research or class action. The sample used in this study is class X TP 1 with 32 students. Data collection techniques used were observation and tests. The results of this study indicate that the average activity desired (On Task) students in the first cycle amounted to 52.92, the second cycle was 65.83 and in the third cycle was 73.75. The average activity that is not desired (Off Task) of students in the first cycle is 53.75, the second cycle is 38.33 and the third cycle is 26.67. This data shows that the use of concept maps through STAD type cooperative learning is able to increase the desired activities (On Task) of students (an increase of 20.8%). From the data the learning results obtained that the average test scores of students in the first cycle amounted to 73 , 99 (with learning completeness 67.44), cycle II was 75.95 (with mastery learning 72.45, cycle III was 77.16 (learning completeness was 76.35) .This data shows that the use of concept maps through cooperative learning STAD type is able to improve learning outcomes of students' chemistry subjects. In the third cycle data obtained increases the activity of participants the average learning outcomes of students have achieved the success indicators that have been set before the study was conducted. Thus the next cycle does not need to be done.

Abstract

: This study aims to determine the effect of Wankat and Oreovocz problem solving strategies on cognitive abilities in Newton's legal concepts and their application. This research was conducted at the State High School 08 in Bogor City. In this study, the experimental class was class X MIA 2, while the control class was class X MIA 1. Determination of the sample in this study was based on purposive sampling technique. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method. The study took place in the first semester of the 2015-2016 school year. The instrument used is a test instrument in the form of a subjective test. Based on test data analysis, it was concluded that there was an influence of Wankat and Oreovocz's problem solving strategies on cognitive abilities in Newton's legal concepts and their application. This is based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test for N = 31 for the posttest data. Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.001, while the significance value is 0.05 or Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05

Abstract

This study aims to improve the logarithmic competence of class X IPA students with active learning strategies in Narada Jakarta High School students. The research method used is classroom action research through 2 cycles and in each cycle includes activities of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results showed an increase in mastery of this competency starting from the first cycle of students can increase by 28% from the initial conditions of the conditions in the first cycle after the action in the second cycle increased by 30%. From the results of this class action research the researcher recommends policy making or implementing learning in this case, namely the instructor to teach learning material in small groups and with techniques to activate students

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of discipline and commitment to the task of understanding students' mathematical concepts. In this study, survey research methods were used. Multiple regression analysis was performed with ANOVA statistics (variance analysis). The results of the study concluded: (1) There is no significant direct influence in the discipline of understanding Mathematical concepts with t-count = 1 082 <1,980. (2) There is a significant direct effect of commitment to the task of understanding mathematical concepts with t-count = 2,248> 1,980. (3) There is a significant direct effect of discipline on commitment to the task is t-count = 3.936> 1.980. (4) There is an insignificant indirect influence in the discipline of understanding mathematical concepts through commitment to the task is t-count = 0.936 <1.980. Efforts to improve understanding of mathematical concepts in students are carried out with discipline and commitment to the tasks students have in the teaching and learning process.  Keywords: Discipline, Commitment to tasks, Understanding of Mathematical Concepts.

Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research is to improve students' learning outcomes through efforts to improve the learning process that has been going on using STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) learning model on business and energy concept of VIII SMPN Negeri 1 Jawilan Serang. This classroom action research is conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle in the research includes 4 steps, namely (1) planning (planning) which includes identifying the problem and determining the root cause of the problem; (2) execution (acting), implementing action in the form of learning business and energy concept by applying STAD learning model; (3) observation (observing), collecting data to determine the effectiveness of the action undertaken; (4) reflecting, analyzing the data and reflecting on it through the changes that occurred during the study. Implementation of research consisting of 2 cycles is obtained results that in cycle 1 student learn 63% complete with average value 70. Cycle 2 has increased student learning 84% complete with an average of 77. Of the 2 cycles undertaken students are more motivated to learn and prefer the class condition at the time of learning as disclosed by students in the questionnaire and interview. Research conducted during this 2 cycles obtained the result that learning by applying STAD learning model on cycle 2 has a positive effect on the effort to improve student learning result in effort and energy concept. This is evidenced from preliminary data obtained before the study of the average value of daily re-examination of 60 students to 77 with learning completeness of the original 50% to 84%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of LKS based on Polya problem-solving model on the concept of dynamic fluid on the students' ability to analyze. This research was conducted in class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 7 Kota Tangerang Selatan. This research took place in April 2014. The research method used was quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design and sampling technique with purposive sampling. The instrument used is a test instrument in the form of questions and notes instrument in the form of activity observation sheet and student response questionnaire. Based on the analysis of test data, obtained the result that there is the influence of LKS based on Polya problem-solving model on the concept of dynamic fluid to the students' ability to analyze. It is based on the hypothesis test result by using t-test. The result  t-count = 5.31 while table = = 2.00. It can be seen that tcount> table, so H0 is rejected. In addition, learning using LKS-based problem-solving Polya proved superior in improving students' analytical skills. Based on the results of the N-Gain test the ability to analyze on differentiating aspects increased by 0.46 (medium), organized increased by 0.57 (medium), and attributed increased by 0.44 (medium) or an average increase of 0.52 ( medium). Furthermore, based on notes data analysis in the form of student activity observation sheet, the application of LKS based solving problem Polya is in a good category with a percentage of 72%. The result of student's questionnaire analysis also shows that LKS based on Polya problem solving is in the good category with percentage 69,33%

Abstract

Drug sales at the Fatmawati Hospital Polyclinic Pharmacies have accumulated queues of people buying drugs. The process of purchasing drugs is often an error caused by the system is still manual, the process of checking drugs and drug prices, late messages when the stock of thinning drugs, this is due to knowing the stock of drugs should be checked directly and the information submitted to the pharmacist's head is limited to drugs sold. The pharmacist assistant should look at the drug list book to find the medication that the patient is asking for or not, so in the process of purchasing the drug there is often a data error and in the process of checking the stock of the drug is still manual takes a long time. The author provides problem-solving solutions with the use of computer technology as a tool to process the required data in the form of files or in other words the use of computer-based data processing system with the application program (computerization). Some of the advantages of using a computerized system are to reduce the occurrence of queue buildup due to faster service, faster and more accurate information presentation, better data storage and smaller error factors or rarely occur because the process does not need to be repeated, in case of error simply edit the data. The proposed system is expected to be applied so that queuing can be avoided and may facilitate Pharmacist access to know the progress of the Pharmacy

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of learning attitudes and self-efficacy of students on Chemistry learning achievement. The research method used is a survey research method with multiple regression analysis techniques. The sample of the study amounted to 84. The results concluded: (1) There is a significant influence together with learning attitudes and self-efficacy on learning achievement Chemistry students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Bekasi. This is evidenced by Sig. = 0,000 <0,05 and Fhitung = 228,067 .. (2) There is a significant influence of learning attitude toward students' Chemical learning achievement of MAN in Bekasi Regency. This is evidenced by Sig. = 0,000 <0,05 and t-count = 6,592. (3) There is a significant effect of self-efficacy on learning achievement of Chemistry of MAN students in Bekasi Regency. This is evidenced by Sig. = 0,000 <0,05 and t-count = 7,975. The implications of this research are: (1) There is a significant direct influence on the learning attitudes and self-efficacy on Chemistry achievement of the students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Bekasi Regency, it shows that to improve the achievement of good chemistry learning can be done with improving student learning attitude self-efficacy. (2) There is a significant influence of learning attitudes toward Chemical learning achievement, it shows that to create learning achievement Chemistry can be done by improving student's learning attitude (3) There is a significant influence self-efficacy to learning achievement Chemistry, this shows to improve learning achievement can create good self-efficacy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence inquiry method of students' mathematical communication skills in class VIII SMP Negeri 6 Kota Tangerang. The research method used is quasi-experiment. The population in this study is all students of SMP Negeri 6 Kota Tangerang Selatan, while the sample was taken as many as 76 students consisting of 38 students experimental group and 38 students control group. The sampling technique using simple random sampling (simple random sampling). The instrument for data collection in this research is essay test consist of 15 problems. The data analysis technique used is t-test, and based on t-test calculation shows t-count = 4.08 and t-table = 1,992 at significance level of 5% or (α = 0,05) which means thitung> t-table (4,08> 1,992 ), then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. so it can be concluded that there are differences in the results of mathematical communication skills between students taught by inquiry method with students taught by the problem-solving method. Based on it can be said that the results of mathematical communication skills in students who are taught by inquiry method is higher than students taught by the problem-solving method.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the level of dosage of gamma-ray radiation on the growth and production of varieties of kateng. This research was conducted from August 1999 until December 1999 at Agrayam Experimental Plantation Research Station Bogor. The design of the Randomized Complete Group Design (RKLT) consisted of 6 treatments of gamma-ray radiation dose with 5 replications, in which each replication with the following dosage level A = Control B = 300 Rad, C = 600 Rad, D = 900 Rad, E = 1200 Rad. Each treatment consists of 100 cloves of garlic bulbs grown in one bed. With 10 plant samples. The results showed that the effect gamma-ray radiation on plant height and number of leaves showed a very real effect. Plant height and lowest leaf number is indicated by high dose radiation densities ranging from 1200 rad and 1500 rad. The treatment of gamma ray radiation shows a significant effect on the percentage of live and heavy plants per plot or per hill. Plants are only able to live with a treatment of 600 rad doses while at age 10 MST doses of 900 rad, 1200 rad and 1500 rad of dead plants. The treatment of radiation on root length and dry weight per plot and dry weight per clump has not shown any significant effect, where the plants irradiated below 600 rad are still tolerant given the energies of the environment that allow the garlic plant to survive even though the yield of the bulbs produced is not optimal . This indicates that the radiation This shows that radiation given with strong energy has not been able to result in major fidiological damage. Therefore, the treatment of gamma-ray radiation dose on garlic vraietas Kateng has not been able to show good tuber growth.
