Abstract

Exploring of the baby’s body parts will produce uniquephotograph.The character of a baby which different adult humans. Exploration is the act of observation and research to find something. In this work, exploration have been done by observing in detail the baby's body shapes that are very interesting to display in a photograph. The shapes referred toa flexible shape namely the body. In general there are various types of bodies, especially for this photographic work, the baby's body chosen as an object. It is the corpus of newborn baby until the age of 12 months from hair to toe. Photography is the process of painting or writing usethe light. One function of photography is to record the moment of birth of a baby. The moment of birth is the most eagerly awaited by the parents. Abstract

Supporting actors and supporting actresses in films have an important influence on the course of the story. Their presence is able to strengthen the messages conveyed through scenes in the film. The formulation of the problem of this research is how to read the supporting cast as a message reinforcement on the film Talak 3. Film Talak 3 by Hanung Bramantyo and Ismail Basbeth tells the story of the desire of a divorced couple to reconcile. The supporting figures in the film Talak 3 were used as the focus of the study. The study was conducted using a type of qualitative descriptive research, while the approach method applied the semiotic theory of Roland Barthes to analyze the supporting characters who had the role of signaling the message in the scene. The results of this study show that the budhe Ratna as a supporting actress strengthens the message using marriage life and the meaning of true love that appears throughout the film. Messages related to bureaucracy in government agencies are strengthened by the presence of figures Basuki, Hasmi, Jonur and Ical.Keywords: message, supporting actor and actress, Roland Barthes’s semiotics, Film Talak 3

Abstract

Is the film SMART? is a fictional film with the genre of comedy satire delivered through the protagonist. SMART film? tells the story of Shabrina, a teenager who is overused in using a smartphone and has an impact on everyday life. Through the Comedy satire genre approach on SMART films? expected to be easily accepted by the audience. SMART film? conveying messages to the audience will have a negative and positive impact on using smartphones excessively among teenagers. Through narrative and mise en scene elements, the director tells the story by dividing it into three rounds, the comedy satire scene, setting, make up, wardrobe, and player movements. Abstract

Ambient Media Designing as a means of Promoting Traditional Games The Children Community of Onion Surakarta has the idea of introducing traditional games to today's modern children who are starting to forget them. This process uses a combination of Garvin Ambrose and Paul Harris methods, and Bambang Sukma Wijaya's ambient media design strategy. This design model explains the stages that are passed in the process of designing ambient media and supporting promotional media. The stage includes identification of data, research methods, formulation of ideas, brainstorming, sketching, digital, and making prototypes. The search for ambient media ideas is done by using the concept of triangle insight which combines knowledge about consumers, products and mediums / places. After that, the results of the triangle insight were obtained where the children who went to Taman Cerdas spent more time playing online games because there was free access Wi-Fi available. Through these insights, the idea of designing ambient media was obtained at Taman Cerdas Jebres Surakarta by introducing hide and seek games, while also designing ambient media at Mojosongo's garden food court to introduce doom-playing games. As for the design of supporting promotional media to produce several items such as shirts, pillows, pins, note books, bookmarks to paper bags. This design is expected to become a new breakthrough in introducing traditional games to children aged 7-13 years and is expected to make old people aware of the benefits of traditional social, psychological, and physical games. The design is made in a unique way or can be called ambient media aimed at strengthening the message that you want to convey and giving a shock effect to the target so that it gives an unforgettable impression.Keywords: Traditional games, ambient media, promotion design

Abstract

The character of the film is important in conveying the story and needs to give an impression to the audience. Characters are created through character development, which results in the development of character characters to create human-like dimensions. This qualitative descriptive study examines the field of cinema which describes Mada’s character in the film Haji Backpacker (2014) based on the pattern of narrative structure. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation and document study. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Hubberman analysis models with a narrative approach in the form of descriptive studies reading the meaning of the text in the film. The reading is done by dividing the film into sequences, then identifying the character of Mada in 3 dimensions. The results of this study are that Mada’s character experiences a developmental process that shows a change from bad character to a better character. The type of change is a growth arc, with many causes of change based on others.Key Words : Character development, 3 dimentions, Haji Backpacker

Abstract

This artistic research aims to (1) carry out exploration of designs with lotus plant ideas, (2) realize jewelry works based on selected designs that have been designed. The works produced are lotus-themed jewelry. Lotus plants not only have beauty but also philosophical and great benefits for humans. Lotus is a sacred plant for Hindu-Buddhist religion. Even for some countries lotus plants are used as a symbol of the country which means purity, humility, as well as a symbol of God. The process of making jewelry works using filigree and cutting techniques with the main ingredients of silver metal and Trembesi wood. Each work of art contains its own meaning, function and aesthetics. The jewelry is functioned as a complement to women’s clothing. The jewelry that have been made are necklaces, earrings, bracelets, hairpin, and brooches. The aesthetics of jewelry are described based on Monroe Bardsley’s theory, namely unity, complexity and sincerity. Keywords: lotus plants, jewelry, aesthetics

Abstract

Culture is dynamic in the form of humans and vice versa with a value system. One of them is Pawukon, originating from the science of titen and then manifested in the manuscript. In the case of the RadyaPustaka Museum’s collections, inseparable from the history and myths of Watugunung. Interaction and interpretation of analysis are used in historical studies, influences on Javanese people, symbols of Pawukon in the manuscript and the importance of its presence in contemporary society. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis papaer is research on Pantene Shampoo advertisement Labels Against Women which visualizes gender bias and sexism. The aims are to find out messages, to outlines images conveyed through audio-visual advertising by comparing gender culture in Indonesia. Using qualitative descriptive research methods through Julia Kristeva’s intertextual semiotic analysis. Analyze the frames of each scene to describe the ad as a whole, describing signs that contain elements of gender culture. As a result, this Pantene advertisement campaigned for gender equality, and determined working women as the targets. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe idea of a photographic creation work en titled “TURONGGO YAKSO IN ETNOPHOTOGRAPHY” was a response to the case of the disappearance of the founder’s handwriting book, the art of Turonggo Yakso which contained important notes about the arts of the Dongkol Village community. The book is about the history of the art of Turonggo Yakso, the design of the movement, and all the rules of the Baritan ceremony (the ritual of the Dongko community after harvest as gratitude for the Almighty God because of the successful harvest).The purpose of this project is to attempt to reassemble the archives in the form of text data from interviews with Turonggo Yakso art actors, and visual data on the documentation of the shows which are packaged in ethnophotographic photographs. The process of creating this work uses ethnophotographic methods which were initiated by Dipti Desai, namely Pseudo-Ethnography. Photographers do not carry out ethnographic methods strictly, but rather rely on field data from interviews by informants and environmental observations.The final project of this work presents visual data and text data about the history of Turonggo Yakso folk art which is the original art of the Kecamantan Dongko community, Trenggalek Regency, East Java Province from preparation, during the show, to the end of the show in ethnophotographic form.Keywords: Ethnophotography, Turonggo Yakso, Art of Tradition, Jaranan.ABSTRAKIde karya penciptaan fotografi yang berjudul “TURONGGO YAKSO DALAM ETNOFOTOGRAFI” merupakan tindak lanjut dalam menyikapi kasus hilangnya buku tulisan tangan sesepuh pendiri kesenian Turonggo Yakso, yang berisi catatan penting tentang kesenian masyarakat Desa Dongkol. Buku tersebut berisi tentang sejarah kesenian turonggo yakso, rancangan gerak, dan segala aturan seputar upacara Baritan (Upacara yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Dongko setelah panen sebagai rasa syukur terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa karena hasil panen yang sukses). Tujuan penciptaaan karya ini sebagai usaha untuk mengumpulkan kembali catatan-catatan yang berupa data teks hasil wawancara dari para pelaku kesenian turonggo yakso, dan data visual dari peristiwa pertunjukannya yang dikemas dalam foto etnofotografi. Proses penciptaan karya ini menggunakan metode etnofotografi yang dicetuskan oleh Dipti Desai yakni Pseudo-Ethnography atau etnografi “semu”, di mana pengkarya tidak mengikuti metode etnografi secara ketat, namun lebih mengandalkan data lapangan dari hasil wawancara oleh narasumber dan pengamatan lingkungan.Hasil tugas akhir karya ini menyajikan data-data visual dan data-data text tentang sejarah kesenian rakyat Turonggo Yakso yang merupakan kesenian asli masyarakat Kecamantan Dongko, Kabupaten Trenggalek, Provinsi Jawa Timur dari persiapan, saat pertunjukan, hingga akhir pertunjukan dalam bentuk etnofotografiKata kunci: Etnofotografi, Turonggo Yakso, Kesenian, Jaranan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Shooting techniques in films are needed so that the storyline can be continuous between actors and audiences. The action in the Modus Anomali film is visualized through shots, scenes, and sequences in the structure of the film in harmony with causation. Through shooting techniques can create a tension that affects the anxiety of the audience awaiting the risk that befalls the protagonist. The shooting technique in this film is dominant by using handheld techniques in realizing an action. The emergence of interesting and important handheld movements is assessed to form tension. The analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. While the sampling technique uses purposive sampling in several sequences that focus on the protagonist. The results showed that the appearance of the handheld was able to form tension with the support of camera angle technique, type shot, camera movement, long take and canted angle, which created a conflict that peaked as a form of tension.Keywords: Film Mode Anomaly, Handheld, TensionABSTRAK Teknik pengambilan gambar dalam film diperlukan agar alur cerita dapat berkesinambungan antar pemain dan penonton. Aksi dalam film Modus Anomali divisualisasikan melalui shot, scene, maupun sequence dalam struktur film selaras dengan sebab-akibat. Melalui teknik pengambilan gambar dapat mewujudkan suatu ketegangan yang berpengaruh terhadap rasa cemas penonton menanti risiko yang menimpa pada tokoh protagonis. Teknik pengambilan gambar dalam film ini dominan dengan menggunakan teknik handheld dalam mewujudkan suatu aksi. Kemunculan pergerakan yang dihasilkan handheld menarik dan penting dikaji untuk membentuk ketegangan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif. Sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling pada beberapa sequence yang fokus pada tokoh protagonis. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemunculan handheld mampu membentuk ketegangan dengan dukungan teknik camera angle, tipe shot, pergerakan kamera, long take maupun canted angle, yang menciptakan suatu konflik memuncak sebagai wujud ketegangan.Kata kunci: Film Modus Anomali, Handheld, Ketegangan
