Abstract

This study discusses analytically the phenomenon of repetition (al-takrâr) contained in the Qur'an. It aims to conceptually describe the phenomenon of repetition in the Qur'an, including: the definitions, types, and functions. The results of this study reveal the disagreements among scholars and academics related to this phenomenon. Some argue that the phenomenon of repetition in the Qur'an is one side of deficiency, or even disgrace that can damage the beauty and majesty of the Qur'an. Yet others argue that it is one common language style used in Arabic literature, which has specific aims and functions. In fact, the repetition gives a deep impact and impression to its readers.

Abstract

This is a mini research by using literature review to examine the extent of the thought concept about dzahir and bathin meaning by Husain al Dzahabi and other interpreters and then analyzed by linguistics-semantics. Based on the study, the author concludes that: first, the dialogue of thought about dhahir and bathin meaning has produced various characteristics of Qur'anic interpretation as dynamic and meaningful text. Second, dzahir meaning has a clearer character, and is considered stronger as hujjah, but the bathin meaning can also be accepted scientifically if it is supported by the right dalil or qarinah. Third, both in aqli and naqli, the existence of dzahir and bathin meaning is justified. Fourth, the Qur'anic discourse is the more suitable approach in line with the rules of  Qur’anic understanding and the standard of interpretation in Islam.

Abstract

AbstractThe efforts to increase learning motivation can be done by using instructional media. This study aims to find out the use of media and the effect of the use of instructional media towards motivation to learn Arabic. This is a descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study are 94 students of immersion class at State Islamic Junior High School (MTs N) Plupuh Sragen. All students become the sample in this study. The data is processed by using descriptive statistics and correlation test of Product Moment. Based on the hypothesis test, the magnitude of the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.4723 greater than 0.207 with significance level of 5%. It can be concluded that Ha that there is "the effect of the use of instructional media to learn Arabic student motivation" is accepted. The results inform that there is a significant effect of media learning towards student motivation, especially in learning Arabic.

Abstract

Fashahah according to the classic scholars is sealed by period, place, and vocabularies with certain conditions, while it according to contemporary scholars is a process of renewable development. In modern linguistics, it reveals the activities and thought of the modern Arab nation. It  continuously describes its function as a different transmitter of the Arabic functions according to classic scholars which is more dynamic and not static. The result concludes that the classical Arab in the Qur'an is in peak not only as a means of conveying the thought, but also becomes the religious and unifying language of Arab nations with its various specifications. The process of evolution occurring in Arabic Language includes its pronunciation, structure of grammar, and dilalah.

Abstract

This study discusses the evaluation model of nahwu learning in munaqasyah form at Islamic Boarding School/Pondok Pesantren (PP) Al-Luqmaniyyah Yogyakarta. The analysis is based on the theoretical framework of nahwu learning evaluation conducted at formal school and Islamic school (madrasah). With a realistic analysis to the theoretical frameworks and real conditions, the evaluation models can be mapped out; the relevance and urgency of the model in the whole lesson at this Islamic Boarding School can be known. The study results show that the munaqasyah is only applied in Alfiyah Class because this book is considered as the highest level of nahwu subject at PP Al-Luqmaniyyah. The implementation of munaqasyah to Alfiyah ibn Malik is done to measure achievement of the students (santri) in Alfiyah subject. The participation in Alfiyah continued until munaqasyah is considered as a standard that the students have followed the process gradually and completely.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a digital dictionary ViKA (Visualitation by Creation and Action) as media for for beginner learners to understand the meaning of Arabic vocabulary according the morphology (Creation) and syntax (Action). This Research and Development uses quantitative data for the analysis with the independent variables "ViKA Dictionary" and the dependent variable “the ineffectiveness of existing dictionaries and the effectiveness of ViKA dictionary. ViKA Dictionary is tested to 50 of 1st semester students of Arabic Education at State  Institute for Islamic Studies Salatiga, with the  data is obtained through Pre-ViKA and Post-ViKA questionnaires and interviews. Signification test of the data is done by two-tailed test to accept an alternative hypothesis "That students of Arabic Education 1st Semester are beginner learners and existing dictionaries give understanding of detail meaning of Arabic vocabulary yet and ViKA dictionary is effective for use", or reject the null hypothesis "That 1st semester students of Arabic Education 1st are not beginner learners and existing dictionaries give understanding of detail meaning of Arabic vocabulary and ViKA dictionary is ineffective for use ". The result of signification test according to the rules decision of  two-tailed test is whether the H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. So "ViKA Dictionary is effective being used by beginner Arabic learners".
