Abstract

Background: Clinical information needs identification is one of the early stages of the clinical information system requirement analysis process. Identification of clinical information needs is important because it can help provide direction and guidance on the design of systematic clinical information systems. In addition, the clinical information needs identification can also help in understanding the complexity of clinical situations in the health domain, particularly in hospital inpatient department and to help accommodate the needs of end users (in this case the doctors who are responsible for patients (DPJP) and nurses) so that later will succeed the implementation of the clinical information systems itself or in other words, the system’s penetration becomes high, which will ultimately improve the service quality to the patient. Methods: This was qualitative study that is descriptive in nature by grounded theory approach. Data was collected by direct observation, document analysis and unstructured interview in April 2015 to May 2015. Three nurses and 1 physician participated in this study. Result: The results of this study are 6 components of clinical information needs by the doctor (DPJP) and nurses at the inpatient department at UGM Hospital. Conclusion: This study shows that there is a difference of information needs between the DPJP and the nurses at the UGM hospital.

Abstract

Background: Typhoid fever is common in tropical as well as subtropical regions such as Indonesia, typhoid fever is an endemic disease, of which approximately 21.5 million people per year are affected by the disease. Typhoid treatment with antibiotics results in mutations that Salmonella typhi becomes resistant to antibiotics (Multi Drug Resistance Salmonella typhi). One plant that has the property for treatment is Juwet (Syzygium Cumini), this plant is known content antosianin, elagat acid, gallic acid, malic acid, oxalic acid, quersetin, routine, carotenoids, glucoside, kamferol, miresetin, alkaloid, jambosina, vitamin C, protein, and calcium. Method: The type of research used is experimental research that is by giving intervention in the form of antibacterial extract to Salmonella typhi bacteria, then measured inhibition zone formed on growth medium of Salmonella typhi bacteria with millimeter unit. Juwet bark extractable to inhibit the growth of Salmonella typhi bacteria at concentrations of 50% and 75% by showing the zone of radical resistance and statistical test results showed the F calculated the price was greater than F table so that there is the influence of the concentration of juwet bark extract on the growth of Salmonella typhi. Result: Juwet leaf extracts able to inhibit Salmonella typhi bacteria growth at concentration 50% and 75% by showing the zone of the radical barrier and statistic test result showed that F calculated value is bigger than F table so there is the influence of the various concentration of juwet bark extract on growth of Salmonella typhi. Juwet juice extracts able to inhibit Salmonella typhi bacteria growth at concentration 12,5%, 25%, 50% and 75% by showing the zone of the radical barrier and test result statistically show the price of F count is bigger than F table so there is an influence of the various concentration of extract juwet bark against Salmonella typhi growth. Abstract

Background: Balance is an important part of a person's physical fitness that is needed until the end of life and is very influential in everyday activities. The balance of the elderly will slowly decrease the function, either anatomically or physiologically, which will be followed by a morphological decrease in the muscle causing muscle functional changes, ie decreased strength and muscle contraction, decreased elasticity and muscle flexibility, decreased propioceptive function and speed, vestibular, visual, somatosensoris so that it can disturb the elderly dynamic balance and the risk of falling larger. Efforts to improve dynamic balance and reduce the risk of falling with physical exercise in the form of low impact gymnastics. Objective: The purpose of this study is to prove the effectiveness of low impact aerobic gymnastics in improving the dynamic balance in the elderly. Method: This study used quasi experimental method with one group research approach pre and post test design lasted for 4 weeks with frequency 3 times a week. The study sample amounted to 14 people who were given low impact aerobic gymnastics program. Dynamic balance measurement using Balance Berg Scale is measured before or after the training program on each subject. Abstract

The aging process will continue, unstoppable, but can be slowed down. One of the factors causing premature aging is the presence of free radicals formed by the body itself or from outside the body. To absorb free radicals, the body forms antioxidants called endogenous antioxidants such as superoxid dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase. The production of these antioxidants decreases with age, thus creating an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants. When free radicals exceed antioxidants, oxidative stress results in subsequent oxidative damage. To avoid the occurrence of oxidative damage, the body needs antioxidants from the outside (exogenous antioxidants). Foods such as vegetables and fruits are major sources of exogenous antioxidants. Vegetables and fruits contain many flavonoids, tannins, polyphenols. This phytochemical has a potent antioxidant effect. In addition, vegetables and fruits contain vitamins and minerals. Vitamin A, beta carotene, vitamin C and vitamin E are essential nutrients that have antioxidant effects. Minerals such as Zn, Mn, Selenium, Cu are trace elements that are the building blocks of endogenous antioxidants. In addition to these exogenous antioxidants the body can reduce free radicals so as not to cause oxidative stress and can avoid oxidative damage.

Abstract

Anemia is the most common medical problem in clinics around the world, as well as a major public health problem, especially in developing countries. This disorder is the cause of chronic debility that has a major impact on social and economic well-being and physical health.1 Because of its frequent frequency, anemia, particularly mild anemia, is often missed and passed by clinicians. Anemia is functionally defined as the decreasing of the amount of red cell mass (erythrocytes) so it cannot fulfill its function to bring enough oxygen to peripheral tissues (decreased oxygen carrying capacity). Anemia is a very common disorder in both the clinic and the field. It is estimated that more than 30% of the world's population or 5000 million people suffer from anemia with most living in the tropical areas. Anemia is simply a collection of symptoms caused by various causes. Basically, anemia caused by disorders of erythrocyte formation by bone marrow, Loss of blood out the body (hemorrhage), the process of destruction of erythrocytes in the body prematurely (hemolysis). Therapeutic approaches that need to be considered in the treatment of anemic patients are (1) Medication should be given based on a definitive diagnosis that has been enforced first; (2) Provision of hematinics without clear indications is not recommended; (3) Treatment of anemia; (4) In circumstances where definitive diagnosis cannot be established, we are forced to provide experimental therapy (ex juvantivus therapy); (5) Transfusions are administered to acute post-haemorrhagic anemia with signs of haemodynamic disturbance. Anemia is often observed in the field. Field research generally used anemia criteria according to WHO, while for the purposes of clinical use, the criteria is Hb <10 g / dl or hematocrit <30%.
