Hasta Wiyata adalah nama jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh program studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Brawijaya. Kedua istilah tersebut berasal dari bahasa Sanskerta, “hasta” berarti tangan dan “wiyata” berarti pengajaran. Jurnal ini bergerak dalam bidang bahasa, sastra, dan pendidikan. Jurnal Hasta Wiyata memuat hasil penelitian yang inovatif, tulisan ilmiah yang orisinil, refleksi kritis-teoretis, studi literatur, gagasan tertulis, dan artikel konseptual dari berbagai cabang ilmu yang fokus pada kajian bahasa, sastra, dan pendidikan. Jurnal ini terbit dua kali dalam satu tahun, yaitu pada bulan Januari dan Juli.

Abstract

Culture-bound words has become potential issues in understanding texts due to their specific connotation and implication in the language expressing the culture. Since language is not merely a classification of a set of general and universal concepts, but more importantly that each language articulates or organizes the world differently, then concepts may be distinctly encapsulated in different languages. Culture involves aspects of intellects and arts in a society. Elements of culture in a society involves customs, beliefs, lifestyle, attitude, social organization and habits and arts in the given society.The topic of the study is cultural-bound expressions in literary works as a product of a culture. The study focuses on cultural-bound expressions in young adult literature (YAL). YAL is chosen as the object of study for its phenomenal growth and development since late 20th century and early 21st century.  The study chooses Mandy Hubbard’s Prada and Prejudice (2009) as the data source due to the wide range aspects of American culture being presented in the work. The study found that the cultural bound expressions are found in various environments, including family, school, peer group and society. The study also discusses the ideas of freedom and individual rights, responsibility, morality and pragmatism as the underlying notions of the expressed cultural concepts being expressed in the character of the work. The study is expected to contribute to better cultural understanding of American teenage culture as expressed in young adult literature.  young adult literature, American values, cultural bound expressions

Abstract

This study examines sequencial hesitation disfluencies and slip of the tongue in Bahasa Indonesia from psycholinguistic reviews. The aim is to find (1) the type of sequencial hesitation disfluencies and slip of the tongue and (2) the relation between hesitation disfluencies and slip of the tongue in a speech production. The data in this study were taken from spontaneous speeches in the speech titles Mata Najwa and Kick Andy with the reading method and then analyzed with a slime technique. This study produced two findings. First, the type of sequencial hesitation disfluencies and slip of the tongue, namely (a) Freudians Slip- Filled Pauses, (b) Freudian Slip-Silence Combinations, (c) Blend-Filled Pauses, (d) Anticipation — Filled Pauses, (e) Transposition Filled Pauses, and (f) Transposition-Silence Combinations. Second, Hesitation Disfluencies arises as a result of slip of the tongue because speakers need additional time to retrieve the required vocabulary.

Abstract

Abstrak: Novel Amba karya Lakmsi Pamuntjak adalah novel internasional yang dipamerkan di Frankfurt Book Fiar  di Jerman. Novel tersebut juga sudah diterjemahkan dalam bahasa Inggris, Belanda, dan Jerman, dan mendapatkan penghargaan LiBeraturpreis 2016 dari Lembaga Litprom Jerman. Ada wacana feminis yang direpresentasikan sebagai bentuk politik dalam novel ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis wacana.Hasil penelitian menemukan adanya : (a) kontradiksi konsepsi cantik sebagai identitas, (b) kontradiksi identitas mental dalam menggugat wacana patriarkat, dan (c) kontradiksi orientasi budaya sebagai identitas yang dibongkar.  Artikel ini diharapkan dapat membuka diskursus pembacaan terhadap novel Amba dari perspektif  keperempuanan.Kata kunci: novel Amba, identitas, feminisme

Abstract

Materi pembelajaran merupakan salah satu dari tiga kelompok besar fasilitas belajar. Materi pembelajaran disampaikan melalui alat peraga dan buku teks pembelajaran. Ada komponen-komponen dasar yang harus dipenuhi agar buku teks dapat menunjang pembelajaran dengan baik, yakni (1) kelayakan isi, (2) kelayakan penyajian, (3) kelayakan keterbacaan, (4) kelayakan kegrafikaan, dan (5) kelayakan keamanan. Namun, fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa hal yang belum memenuhi kriteria tersebut. Untuk memperbaiki buku teks yang kurang sesuai dengan kriteria, ada empat upaya, yakni (1) motivasi atau kemauan guru mata pelajaran untuk menulis buku teks pelajaran, (2) perlu upaya guru untuk mengadaptasi isi buku teks berdasarkan kemampuan dan kebutuhan siswa, (3) penyusun buku teks harus memegang kunci utama dari kurikulum 2013 seperti pendekatan yang digunakan, materi yang disajikan, literasi, porsi sastra serta bahasa, dan (4) jika pemerintah memang menginginkan untuk membuat buku teks bagi seluruh siswa di Indonesia, sebaiknya membuat tiga versi buku disesuaikan dengan  wilayah di Indonesia  agar lebih tepat sasaran.

Abstract

Pokok permasalahan dalam pembelajaran membaca adalah bagaimana memilih dan menggunakan strategi belajar. Strategi belajar merupakan alat interaksi di dalam proses belajar yang digunakan harus menimbulkan aktivitas belajar yang baik, sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat secara maksimal Strategi leadership pembelajaran membaca permulaan adalah strategi pembelajaran yang mengunakan gaya kepemimpinan dikembangkan dengan pendekatan konstruktivis yang menggabungkan kooperatif learning dan kontekstual dalam pengajarannya.Strategi leadership pembelajaran membaca permulaan menggabungkan pembelajaran kelompok kecil dan modeling. Diharapkan dari strategi leadership pembelajaran membaca permulaan ini dapat membantu pemerataan pembelajaran siswa lewat kelompok kecil dan dapat mengatasi permasalahan pembelajaran membaca permulaan di lapangan.Tujuan penelitian menghasilkan produk berupa strategi leadership sebagai variasi baru strategi pembelajaran membaca permulaan yang dikemas dalam sebuah panduan pelaksanaan strategi. Yaitu mengembangkan konsep strategi leadership, langkah-langkah, kesesuaian strategi leadership dengan tingkat pemahaman dan kebutuhan siswa kelas I SD.

Abstract

An integrative approach leads to a new point of view in interpreting learning process. This approach allows students to simultaneously mastering multiple disciplines in a an or a single learning task; linking it in the same context and theme. According to the existence of academic texts, the context supports the existence of relationships between several scientific contexts; including the content and scope of discussion related to certain fields of science. With the theme, each curricular content is able to connect in a match network to develop interdisciplinary units. This allows multiple teachers in different disciplines to join to build shared learning with integrated learning objectives; in one theme. In turn, the integrative concept allows students to think and store their learning thoughts well, connected, continuous, deep, and stronger (persisting and not easily forgotten). This means that what the student has learned is assumed to be more durable in his mind's memory. This assumption is based on the development of schemata, the storage of knowledge information in memory, and the management of the mind when integrative learning is performed.These concept can be realized in language learning. Language disciplines have unique and special functions as a carrier of knowledge and as inter-disciplinary advocates. The usefulness of these two functions is great for the functional progress of the Language disciplines. The study of language as a carrier of knowledge can be interpreted that the science of language into a vehicle that brings science to other sciences.

Abstract

Bahasa sebagai salah satu alat menyampaikan pesan dalam sebuah wacana dialog berupa kata-kata yang berisi ide, informasi, dan nasehat. Kelancaran sebuah wacana dialog, bisa dilihat dengan ketercapaianya sebuah prinsip kerja sama yang termuat di dalamnya. Prinsip kerja sama mencakup empat prinsip, yaitu (a) kuantitas, (b) kualitas, (c) korelasi, dan (d) cara. Jika semua prinsip tersebut ada dalam sebuah dialog, maka bisa dikatakan wacana dialog tersebut berhasil dan bersifat informatif. Penggunaan prinsip kerja sama tersebut harus juga melihat kajian pragmatik.

Abstract

AbstractThis research uses the design of learning model based on the achievement of competence. This study aims to describe the level of relevance and factors that influence the development of Syllabus and SAP lecturer of the Indonesian Language Education Program at University of Victory Sorong. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative research work framework by using content analysis. Content analysis is conducted on syllabus and SAP lecturers with a reference to the learning design model based on the achievement of competence. The data collection in this research is done by interview and observation. The focus of observation in this research is to cover seven variables: identity, competency standard, basic competence, learning objectives, learning materials, source, and time. The results showed that the course of education has a relevance level of 44, 29%. In the course of linguistic has a relevance level of 42, 08%. Course of literature has a relevance level of 45, 4%. In the skill subject has a relevance level of 43, 29%. The research that has been conducted shows the relevance related to the preparation of syllabus and SAP of lecturers of Indonesian Language Education UNVIC in less relevant category. The research of syllabus and SAP lecturer based on the design of learning model based on the achievement of competence provides an illustration and benefit to the quality of service to the students to achieve the learning objectives and the preparation of the content of Syllabus and SAP lecturers well again.Keywords: Syllabus, SAP, Lecturer, Model Design Based of Competence

Abstract

Relief as a form of local wisdom comes in one form as a tool to immerse moral values in antiquity. However, the difference is too long to make relief is no longer popular in this increasingly digital era. Therefore, effort is needed to popularize the stories in relief into children's stories so that they are more easily digested, enjoyed, and used as media of character building that has been mandated by the law.The method of reading works of art that is still rarely used to reconstruct relief stories. Relief stories are only confirmed through the search of written documents that are now increasingly rare existence. The theory in question is iconography.Through this theory, the reliefs can be read and then the reading results are combined and become a story. In the preparation of the story, this theory requires several steps of work, namely, factual description and expressional descriptions. This is understood by identifying the basic shape, the arrangement of a particular line and color, or the unique shape of a piece of bronze or a stone, a natural picture such as man, animal, plant, life-aid and identifying relationships among them as an event. Some things that have been connected are connected, then character expression is exposed through poses and or gesturenya. This is called an artistic motif.The second stage is iconography, which is the process of reading the secondary meaning of the textual aspect (visual traits / artistic motives), by looking at the relationship between the visual features of a work of art with themes and concepts based on the interpretation of imagination or images, stories and allegories or symbols). For that, it takes literary studies as supporting in the form of various theories such as anthropology, sociology, socio-culture, or lifestyle, literary works, and philosophy in the context of the work studied. Abstract

Ecocriticism is a new science for the development of literature. Ecocriticism examines literature by revealing how the relationship of literature to the physical environment (nature). Mata Badik Mata Puisi is an anthology of poetry by D. Zawawi Imron which is thick with natural nuance. The anthology of the poem is dissected using the study of ecocriticism. From the analysis process found that Zawawi Imron put the position of nature as the center of life, unlike other authors who place humans as axis. There are three findings from the analysis, namely the representation of nature as the center of life, balance and imbalance of nature, and nature as a teacher that shows the direction of life. These three findings are based on the study of ecocriticism on the anthology of the Mata Badik Mata Puisi. Thus, it can be concluded that Zawawi Imron tried to raise environmental issues on the anthology of the poem.
