Abstract

Abstract This study was conducted to reveal the cause of low interest in following PKM activities of Civil Engineering Department Students, at Engineering Faculty of Padang State University (UNP). This case is caused by the fact that the Students’ interest is relatively low in following PKM activities in 2013. This study was conducted on students of Building Engineering Study Program of Civil Engineering Department at Engineering Faculty of UNP year 2010 and 2011. Total population in this study is 167. The numbers of samples for this study are 118; Students of year 2010 are 59 Students and the year 2011 are 59 students. Technique of data collection is using the Likert scale questionnaire. The results showed that the low of students’ interest in attending PKM activity is caused, among others: in the  cognition indicator are the lack of Students’ knowledge in PKM proposals development and the lack of information obtained by the students, in the emotion indicator are less happy feelings in following PKM activities, as well as the lack of willingness of Students to follow PKM activities, and lack of students’ attention about PKM activities (in wish indicator). Abstract

A 5.3 magnitude tectonic earthquake shook South Solok on Thursday (2/28/2019) at around 6:27 WIB. More than 479 houses were damaged, 15 units of public facilities were slightly damaged, and caused a loss of more than 25.6 billion rupiahs. The damage is mostly experienced by vernacular houses which are generally built by construction workmanship who do not understand the technical requirements for earthquake-safer housing. Therefore, local construction tradesmen as the leading element of housing development in the community, should have received more attention because it is their works that determine the strength of building structure. The use of quality building materials and construction work that refers to the basic requirements of earthquake-safer housing construction must be fulfilled, so that the built structures can become sturdier, strong, and do not endanger the inhabitants in the event of earthquake. This article presents the results of the Community Partnership Program Activities (PKM) toward construction tradesmen in Pauah Duo Subdistrict, South Solok Regency. The evaluation results showed that the average construction workmanship’s knowledge of the basic requirements of earthquake-safer housing construction increased by more than 60%. After the training, the participants have knowledge of simple technology that can be applied to housing construction and damaged house repairing activities. Keywords: Earthquake, construction workmanship, South Solok, earthquake-safer house

Abstract

Abstract—. Pauh Duo Subdistrict, Solok Selatan Regency is one of the subdistricts that have village funds (BUMNag) that are scattered in every area which aims at equitable development. Therefore the community must know how to manage and implement these funds, especially in infrastructure buildings (buildings, roads, bridges, and drainage). Training to the community is one of the alternatives so that the funds can be absorbed effectively and efficiently. The training focused on calculating the volume and Budget Plan (RAB) of an infrastructure building. This is addressed to residents that involved in managing and implementing village funds in four villages in the Pauah Duo sub-district, namely Nagari Pauah Duo Nan Batigo, Nagari Kapau Alam Pauah Duo, Nagari Luhak Kapau Alam Pauah Duo, and Nagari Alam Pauah Duo. The training was held from the 26th- 29th of September 2019. The results of the training are included in an effective and efficient category. The final evaluation results are in the outstanding category. It can be concluded that the implementation of the training went smoothly with very satisfying results and could improve the quality of public knowledge.Keywords : BUMNag, Training volume and Budget Plan (RAB), Pauh Duo Subdistrict,

Abstract

Batako adalah material yang banyak digunakan untuk dinding bangunan terutama rumah tinggal di Indonesia. Masyarakat di Solok Selatan, Sumatera Barat umumnya juga membangun dinding rumahnya  menggunakan batako. Sayangnya mutu batako yang digunakan tidak memenuhi standar yang ditandai dengan banyaknya rumah masyarakat dengan dinding batakoyang rusak saat terjadi Gempa Sumatera Barat 2019. Observasi lapangan menunjukkan bahwa secara fisik dan mekanik, batako di Solok Selatan tidak memenuhi persyaratan.  Solok Selatan juga memiliki masalah tingginya angka pemuda putus sekolah. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, maka diadakan pelatihan dengan menggunakan metode bimbingan kelompok, terdiri dari ceramah dan latihan pembuatan batako. Dampak dari pelatihan ini diukur dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test kepada peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan pemuda putus sekolah sebagai mitra untuk pembuatan batako yang sesuai SNI-03-0349-1989.Kata kunci: dinding, gempa, bata, beton, bimbingan kelompok.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is purposed to find out the requirement of training utilities for land geometry subject at SMKN 1 west Sumatra. Research was conducted by observation and interview. Data analysis technique that used in this research was descriptive quantitative analysis. Research finding shows that there are 15 training utilities that can be applied for land geometry subject. Types and numbers of utilities to fulfill training utilities requirement are 7 gages, 5 measuring tapes, 28 measuring pens, 24 yalons, 5 data boards, 5 square prisms, 5 strands, 6 hoses, 5 measuring signs, 6 measuring vessels, 5 tripod, 5 leveling, 5 compasses, 5 theodolites, 6 umbrellas.Keywords: requirement analysis, utilities.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to reveal the factors that encourage students choose courses Education Engineering Building FT-UNP in terms of intrinsic and extrinsic factors. This research is descriptive. Total population of 65 students of Technical Education Building (S1) forces in 2014, with a sample of 56 students. Samples were taken with a probability sampling technique type of simple random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire with Likert scale using four answer choices. The number of statements in the questionnaire as much as 40 point statement. These results indicate that the factors that encourage students to choose courses consist of two factors, namely intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic factors consist of interests, abilities, and goals. The dominant factor is the intrinsic interest of the students themselves. While extrinsic factors consist of family, peers, teachers, and economics. Extrinsic factors that encourage students choose courses Education Engineering Building is the economy. Abstract

Abstract - This study aims to reveal the contribution of the way of learning towards the learning outcomes of Stairs Construction Drawing course of Class XI students of Building Drawing Engineering at SMKN 2 Padangsidimpuan. The population was 40 students of Class XI of Building Drawing Engineering at SMKN 2 Padangsidimpuan. Sample was taken by using total sampling technique. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires containing statements about learning method that were distributed to respondents. Secondary data in the form of learning outcomes were obtained from teachers of the course. Data analysis techniques used are: (1) descriptive analysis, (2) test of analysis requirements, and (3) hypothesis test. From the results of this study it can be concluded that there is a contribution of the way of learning towards the learning outcomes of Stairs Construction Drawing course of Class XI students of Building Drawing Engineering at SMKN 2 Padangsidimpuan. The value of the contribution is 19.80%.Keywords: contribution, Way of learning, learning outcome

Abstract

This research is purposed to find out student’s work attitudes for timber construction subject in construction major class SMKN 1 Padang, year of school 2012/2013. Problem that being identified in this research is the lack of employment for students of SMK; this is proved that they should have not only skills but also positive work attitudes. This research is descriptive. Population in this research is 16 students of construction major class XI SMKN 1 Padang, year of school 2012/2013, that performed apprenticeship. Instrument that used for data collection is questionnaire, while data analysis technique that being used in this research is statistical descriptive with percentage computation. Based on results found out that for student’s attitudes for timber construction subject is good with percentage is 80.89%. Key words : attitudes work, prakerin, praktek kerja kayu.

Abstract

ABSTRACT             This study aims to determine where is a relationship between students' perceptions of FT UNP in UKM with IP semester from January to June, 2015.This study is correlational with two variables and sampling techniques using simple random sampling of 65 of the 78 population. Data were collected using a questionnaire with Likert Scale consisting of four possible answers. Number of items in the questionnaire study on students' perceptions of variable FT UNP registered as members on the activities of UKM in the UKM (x) as many as 33 point statement.The results showed that there was no correlation between student perception FT UNP registered as members of the activities of UKM in UKM with IP in the semester from January to June 2015.  Keywords: Perception students, UKM, IP

Abstract

Abstrak - Permasalahan yang ada pada Mata Kuliah Mekanika Tanah dan Teknik Pondasi adalah waktu yang digunakan untuk praktikum tidak cukup serta keterbatasan pada alat, media, dan kapasitas laboratorium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbasis video tutorial pada Materi Pengujian Pemadatan Tanah pada laboratorium dan lapangan dalam bentuk CD. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan tahapan-tahapan Research and Development yang mengadaptasi model 4D. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket penilaian media pembelajaran untuk ahli materi, ahli media, dan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan penilaian produk pada video tutorial pengujian pemadatan tanah di laboratorium (standard proctor) oleh ahli materi memperoleh skor 2,88 pada aspek materi masuk kategori baik dan 3,67 pada aspek pembelajaran masuk kategori sangat baik. Ahli media menilai 3,43 pada aspek tampilan video dan 4,00 pada aspek pemrograman masuk kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan pada video tutorial pengujian pemadatan tanah di lapangan (sand cone) oleh ahli materi memperoleh skor 3,00 pada aspek materi dan 3,67 pada aspek pembelajaran masuk kategori sangat baik. Ahli media menilai 4,00 pada aspek tampilan video dan pemrograman masuk kategori sangat baik. Penilaian 29 mahasiswa mendapat nilai rata-rata 3,38 masuk kategori sangat baik untuk kedua video tutorial. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian, media yang dihasilkan dinyatakan sangat baik. Kata kunci: video tutorial, media pembelajaran,pemadatan tanah, laboratorium.
