Abstract

Abstract. PT. Batu Nago Mandiri is a company that will plan andesite miningin Batang Kapas districts, PesisirSelatan regency, province of West Sumatera. PT. Batu Nago Mandiri has a 52ha IUP area and has 23,750,000 tonsofandesite reserves and a mine life of 20 years. Parameter of organizing this research activity is seen in terms of theeconomy, estimation of tool needs and outcome sale of andesite stone. Therefore needed investment analysis and theeconomic feasibility of the mine to see the prospect of the andesite reserve whether it has economic value in that location.Then, the parameters used to determine economic viability in andesite production of PT. Batu Nago Mandiri is a NetPresent Value (NPV), Internal Rate Return (IRR), Payback Period (PBP).Based on the results of the economic analysisassessment, the Net Present Value valueis Rp. 1,632,077,494,690, 16% Internal Rate Return and 8-year Payback Period,the project is feasible to run. Estimated equipment requirements for Ore Getting requires 1 unit of Komatsu PC 400-LC8Excavator and 4 units of Hino 30T Dump Truck, while for Overburden Removal requires 1 unit of Komatsu PC300-8 MOExcavator and 3 units of Hino 30T Dump Truck. Abstract

Abstract:  PKM Training on the Use of GPS (Global Positioning System) as Knowledge in Mapping Earthquake Disaster Mitigation for Teachers of SMA N 2 and SMA N 3 Padang aims to provide skills training on the use of GPS in mapping earthquake disaster mitigation. Problem solving is done through several stages, namely observation, provision of material, training in the use of GPS, making 2-dimensional contour maps and 3-dimensional models that are ultimately used as learning media for mapping and surveying. Based on the results of preliminary observations there has never been a training or course for teachers in SMA N 2 and SMA N 3 Padang relating to mapping and surveying, the unavailability of GPS labsheets and GPS programs, operating instructions and GPS software. Not many teaching aids and other media are found in learning, so it will greatly affect the success and completeness of learning. Teachers will find it difficult to exclude material without being supported by adequate references and learning media. In learning, media is still used as is, such as the use of analog maps and mapping techniques are still manual. Teachers are still lacking in understanding GPS, both in substantial and practical skills, due to the limited skills and infrastructure they have. Departing from these limitations, training in the use of GPS for mapping digital earthquake disaster mitigation needs to be held which is expected to later be able to better understand material about mapping with extraterrestrial measurements and be used as digital media in the learning process in the globalization and informative era.  Keyword : GPS, labsheet, digital media, earthquake

Abstract. PT. Atoz Nusantara Mining implements an open pit mining system and is currently conducting exploration activities.The current condition of PT. Atoz Nusantara Mining is currently doing land acquisition for what is used as a mining area.To find out in detail the subsurface conditions, the company carries out well logging activities. So hopefully the series of detailed exploration activities can facilitate the company in taking further steps or actions. After the company conducted detailed exploration activities, the company had not yet processed the data to determine the amount of coal resources, volume value, and tonnage in the Pit I area of PT. Atoz Nusantara Mining.With the data above, it will be easier to conduct coal resource calculation activities. To reduce the amount of geological risk, it is necessary to calculate the mature coal resources in analyzing how the subsurface conditions in order to determine the shape, size and dimensions of coal. Resource calculation plays an important role in determining the quantity, quality and ease of commercial exploration of a deposit. Abstract

Illegal gold mining occurred at Jorong Jujutan, Nagari Durian Tarung, Sangir District , South Solok Regency produce a puddle of water in the form of a small lake with Mercury (Hg) Level 0.0076 mg/L above the quality standards based on the rule of  West Sumatera Gubenur No. 5 the year 2008 is 0.002 mg/L. This research is an experimental study where Eceng Gondok with a mass of 600 gr is placed on a container containing 2L of water with a Mercury rate of 0, 0076mg/L. The time variation observed is 3, 6, and 9 days. Based on the results of the study found 1 gram of Eceng Gondok is able to absorb Hg of 2.15 x 10-5 mg/L in 3 days is equivalent to 80 % of the Mercury content in the sampel.  However, time variations of 3, 6, and 9 days had no significant effect on the absorption of Mercury (Hg) by Eceng Gondok (Eichornia crassipes). This result was evidenced by the test of Kruskal Wallis with the result (Hcount = 4.2738) < (Htable = 7.815). Then H0 is accepted meaning there is no significant influence of time variation on the absorption of Mercury (Hg) by Eceng Gondok. Keywords: Eceng Gondok, experimental, time variations, mercury absorption (Hg), Kruskal Wallis

Abstract

Abstract. PT. Semen Padang is one of the national cement producers in Indonesia whose marketing areaextends from Sumatra to Kalimantan. Limestone as one of the main raw materials in the process of makingcement is obtained from the mining itself. Limestone mining is conducted by quarry using a benching system,which is a mining system that forms levels that divide the mining area into several fronts and work floors. Basedon preliminary observations the author has made on the mining of PT. Semen Padang did not find violations ofthe SOP. Workers use PPE that has been provided by the company. For 2018 there have been 20 workaccidents at PT. Semen Padang. Work accidents with the classification of minor accidents have the highestnumber of occurrences with 18 occurrences. Meanwhile, work accident with severe classification happened 2times. Based on data obtained from the company, almost all work accidents that occurred at the limestonemining location of PT. Semen Padang is due to low employee knowledge and inadequate communication tools.Estimated occupational accidents at PT. Abstract

Abstract. Zones 1 and 3 are one of the mining locations in the PT.BSP area, in the andesite mining process in Zone 1 it uses 6 pieces of conveyance and 1 loading device and in the stripping process for loads in zone 3 uses 4 pieces of conveyance and 1 piece of loading tool. This happens because of lack of discussion The composition of mechanical devices and the amount of waiting time that occurs on the conveyance. The purpose of this study is to count products in zone 1 and zone 3, count equipment in zone 1 and zone 3, get funds and calculate queuing times for production in zone 1 and zone 3, and get a matching factor equal to 1. In this research the theory and field data are combined so that it can be completed. And the results of data processing will be analyzed so that a meeting can be generated later. Based on the results of the study can be concluded. First, productivity of komatsu PC200 in Zone 1 is 249.9 tons / hour and productivity of komatsu DT FM500TI is 357 tons / hour. In Zone 3 komatsu PC 200 productivity is 175 bcm / hour and komatsu DT FM500TI 260 productivity is 160,448 bcm / hour. Second, the composition of the available equipment for Zone 1, namely 1 loading device and 6 conveyances, Zone 2, 1 loading device and 4 conveyances. Third, trying to reduce the queue time to make improvements to the composition is not necessary because of increased damtruk added. Fourth, analyze the calculations at Zone 1 = 0.363 and Zone 3 = 0.6140 MF <1 unit. It means that the working factor of the loading tool is less than 100% and the working factor of the conveyance is more than 100% or the ability of the excavator is less than the working of the conveyance due to the large waiting time of the conveyance.Keywords: production capacity, matching factors, queuing theory, andesite mining, mining equipment

Abstract

Abstract. PT. Semen Padang as a pioneer of the cement industry in Indonesia since 1910 and one of the largest producers for the Sumatra region is trying to increase its production. PT. Semen Padang uses a series of excavators backhoe and dump trucks to move material from the loading point to the Crusher. One of the mining activities affecting production is hauling operations. Factors that can affect transportation activities are the geometry of the haul road. High road grade results in a loaded conveyance which cannot run at optimal speed while a narrow width of the haul road will result in the opposite direction of conveyance which will prioritize one of the conveyances for the road first, this will cause the conveyance distribution time to be longer while loading. The condition of the mining road at PT. Semen Padang is not in accordance with AASHTO standards. There are slopes that are not up to standard as many as 14 segments with a value of 12.96% and 15.19% while according to AASHTO the suitable cross slope is 8% -10%. The researcher will re-evaluate the geometry of the PT Semen Padang mine road and assess the Total Resistance.Keyword: Geometry, Slope, PT. Semen Padang, Production, Grade.

Abstract

Abstract. Pit A PT. Darma Henwa Tbk is conducting mine dewatering efforts to remove the water in the pit, to realize the mining plan back in pit A which will be carried out in March 2019. PT. Darma Henwa tbk provided 4 pump units in the mine dewatering activity. However, based on field observations, it is seen that there is still a high level of standing water in sump pit A, this certainly affects the initial mining plan. Therefore, evaluation of the drainage system in pit A. The problem solving method is done by analyzing the design recommendations related to optimizing pump performance and minimizing the fuel available in pit A, namely recommendation I, the design of 2 pump outlets on the highwall and 2 on the sidewall. Recommendation II is to design 1 pump outlet on the highwall and 3 on the sidewall, and recommendation III to design 4 pump outlets on the sidewall. Based on the analysis of the three recommendation, it is concluded that the recommendation I (2 outlet pump in the sidewall and 2 in highwall) solving problems more effectively and efficiently linked system optimization mine dewatering or pumping systems at pit A Bengalon Coal Project, PT. Abstract

Abstract. In the year of 2018, PT. Saptaindra Sejati has not been able to reach the overburden production target set by PT. Adaro Indonesia for the Pit Central is 45,000.00 m³, while the actual production achieved is 43,477,658 m³. In mining activities at PT. Saptaindra Sejati often occurs in the queue of transportation equipment and sometimes the digging tool is waiting. This is caused by an irregular device circulation system. In order to deal with the possibility of a queue of transportation equipment, the method of queuing for transportation is better than now, namely by the one and a half queue method. The one queue method is as applied as possible so that the hanging tool loading time when the spotting time is zero, so that work efficiency and productivity can be increased and production costs can be streamlined. The working efficiency of the loading digger after the application of the one and a half queuing method has increased by 4.6%, while the working efficiency of the conveyance has increased by 0.5%. Productivity of the digging tool at the Pit Central after the application of the one and a half queue method has increased from 2,950.38 m3/ hour to 3,282.24 m3/ hour, while the transportation equipment productivity has increased from 2,622.21 m3/ hour to 2,990.72 m3/ hour . To achieve harmony in the workings of the tool after optimization, it is necessary to increase the number of transport equipment. The production costs at the Pit Central for stripping overburden from the 4000 class loading tool have a profit of $ 0.396 / m3 after the application of the one and a half queue method.

Abstract. In the underground mining system at the Seam C location of PT. Allied Indo Coal Jaya The problem that often occurs is that a lot of water enters or is inundated. Therefore a mine drainage system is needed to support mining activities, so that various infrastructures that are made aim to control the water that flows in the mining area, especially in the opening hole. The water handling system in this area is more concerned because it is directly related to mining activities that are always mobile, so the discharge of water that comes out must be in accordance with the flow of water that enters the mine.In the Seam C area it has 2 sumps and 7 control tanks, because the pumping system is carried out by flowing water from the work front to the control basin, and then to the last sump, then it is flowed out of the mine by relay. The types of pumps used are Airlux WQD6-12 0.55 (075 Kw) and Airlux WQ25-20-3 (3 Kw). The number of pumps currently in use is 9 units, due to the large amount of incoming groundwater discharge. Measurement of water discharge is done manually in the field by measuring water at the point which is the largest water source at the study site, front tunnel tunnel 3 and tunnel tunnel front 4. Based on the discussion and analysis of the data it can be concluded that groundwater discharge in tunnel 3 is 0.1485 (m3 / min) and tunnel 4 is 0.1454 (m3 / min) while runoff water discharge is 0.1692 (m3 / sec) and the amount 10 units of pump needed to dry water consist of 8 units of Airlux WQD6-12 0.55 (075 Kw) and 2 units of Airlux WQ25-20-3 (3 Kw).Keywords: Underground Mine, Mine Dewatering, Pumps, Groundwater Discharge, Runoff Discharge
