Abstract

One of the food security policy is the diversification of food consumption, for food security depends only on one type of food is very vulnerable to environmental changes lately frequent. Uwi plant (Dioscorea sp) have great opportunities in food diversification program because it is tolerant to shade and drought so suitable to be developed land dry. Uwi plant (Dioscorea sp) a local plant species that have the potential to support the food security program in Indonesia. Uwi plant (Dioscorea sp) as one kind of bulb that potentially supports the diversity of food and food security in the future. The study aims to conserve plant genetic resources Uwi as an alternative non-rice food. The study is conducting by exploration, identification can be followed Uwi plant germplasm conservation in the form of a collection of advanced research. The results showed that in Ponorogo obtained 32 asesi Uwi plant (Dioscorea sp). Taken from several districts in Ponorogo. Of the 32 species of plants Uwi (Dioscorea sp). The identified into five groups, namely: Dioscorea aculeate L by 5 asesi (gembolo, gembili, gembolo mancung, ndulak. Dioscorea alata L by 20 asesi (legi 1, legi 2, ulo, lus 1, lus 2, senggani 1, senggani 2, senggani 3, senggani 4, bangkulit 1, bangkulit 2, bangkulit 3, bangkulit 4, bangkulit 5,rondo sluku, beras, cethek, sepak, duro, war. Dioscorea bulbifera L as much as 3 asesi (sembung, lader, randu alas). Dioscorea hispida Dennst much as 1 asesi (gadung), Dioscorea pentaphylla L by 4 asesi (Katak jahe,katak 1, katak 2, katak 3).Keywords: Exploration, identification, germplasm, Uwi

Abstract

Potatoes is one of the priority commodities for the domestic market resilience needs to be strangthened to reduce the pressure of imports. Potatoes are one of the horticultural crops consumed tuber. Increased production through intensification program requires an understanding of the problems of potato farmers. This understanding is not only limited to the cultivation techniques, but also includes the understanding of the problem the introduction of plants, uses, nutritional value and market potential. The role of marketing is quite large in the process of agricultural development. The purpose of this research was to determine the advantages of potato production in the district Plaosan Magetan regency based on the analysis of farming also to know the efficiency of potato marketed commodity marketing. This research uses analytical methods and their implementation with survey techniques. Method ot determinating the area of research using purposive sampling method in the district Plaosan (Puntukdoro village, Plaosan and Sarangan). Determination of the number of sample using snow ball sampling. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Data was collected with the recording, observation and interviews. Result of the analysis showed that the production of potato variety Granola farming more profitable than the varieties Atlantic. Marketing Granola potato varieties there are three marketing channels, channel I : farmers – market traders Plaosan – retailers – consumer, channel II : farmers – traders village collectors – market traders Plaosan – consumer, channel III : farmers – traders village collectors – market traders Plaosan – outside city traders – retailers – consumer. The most efficient marketing channel is channel I, with the lowest total margin is Rp 678,00 per kg and the share received by farmers are 87,39%.Keywords: Marketing Margin, Variety, marketing channels

Abstract

This study aims to determine the length of the cuttings are best for growing grape seeds. This research was conducted at the experimental station of Agriculture Faculty of Islamic University Balitar Blitar in September 2015 to November 2015. This study used a randomized block design (RAK) with seven treatments, the cuttings are terdidi length of A = 10 cm, B = 12.5 cm , C = 15 cm, D = 17.5 cm, D = 17.5 cm, 20 cm E = F = G = 22.5 cm and 25 cm and 3 replicates, obtained 21 experimental unit. Data analysis was performed using F test showed significant differences If then tested further by using Duncan’s test at 5% level. The results showed that the length of cuttings significantly affect the percentage of cuttings grow, the time appears buds, percentage of cuttings sprouted buds shoot length, number and length of root cuttings of wine. The growth of seedlings cuttings of the best wines on the length of cuttings 20 cm at the variable percentage of cuttings grow, sprout cuttings percentage, shoot length and root length.Keywords: long cuttings, growing, grape seed

Abstract

The collection of information about the potential these stands inextricably linked to the measurement of the volume of timber, either directly or indirectly. For interpretation timber volume inventarsisasi forest activities can be used with an auxiliary table that is practical. The purpose of this study to determine the volume of the stand either manually or using the model to determine the ratio of the volume results. Data were collected by census intensity of 100% at the campus garden land Merdeka Madiun University. To suspect standing stock volume by measuring the diameter (dbh) and tree height. Then from the results data created table manually and table models to determine the result of the difference in the two tables, model estimation elected is Power is with the equation Y = 16,700 x 2,608 dbh (m), with R2 0.944 (RSS) 0.758 SEE 0.951 after it tested test if the t value is smaller than the value of the table then it means there is no significant effect between manual calculations and model calculations.Keywoords : Standingstock, Volume, Model allometric

Abstract

Cocoa is the economic mainstay of the plantation crop farmers in the area of Madiun Country, but the production and productivity of cocoa is still relatively low. Farming is still traditionally run like without the application of fertilizers, pest control (OPT) is not optimal and maximum maintenance such as pruning yet implemented. Therefore cocoa unable to give a maximum contribution to the income of the people in the district of Madiun. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the public perception for the cultivation of cocoa. The research was conducted in the village of the District Merchandise roll of Madiun. While research method implemented is descriptive research method and analysis method used is the method of Multiple Linear Regression analyst. The results of the study can be summarized as follows that the negative factors that influence public perception for the cultivation of cocoa is education (x1), the number of dependents (x2), age of the cocoa plant (x3), while the positive effect on public perception of aquaculture cocoa crop is the total land area (x4).Keywords: Perception, Society, Cocoa Plant

Abstract

Research purposes want to know the influence of application fertilizer liquid organic (POC) to improve the result soybean. Is hypothesized this research is: (1) kind of POC different can provide growth and the results of soybean different; (2) Various POCdifferent can be applied in the soybean plant. The research was conducted using a randomized block design of one factor by treatment as follows: P1 : Without POC ( Control ), P2 : POC Waste Water Hyacinth, P3: POC waste dregs and skin the sugarcane, P4: POC waste coconut coir, P5: POC waste water hyacinth + manure, P6 : POC sugarcane waste dregs + manure + cocopeat, P7: POC waste coconut coir + cocopeat. Each treatment repeated four times, so that was obtained 28 tenement experiment , by using plants 10 sample every tenement. The research note that the treatment poc dregs cane + manure + cocopeat ( P6 ) give heavy dry seed / swaths better than other treatment, Although no different real the treatment poc dregs cane ( P3 ), So also with the potential of the results, Where p6 able to provide the 2,36 tons / ha was p3 able to give a ton / ha 2,12. While in parameters 1.000 the weight , the treatment poc dregs cane + manure + cocopeat ( P6 ) give 1.000 weight of the best, Although no different treatment real with the provision of waste poc dregs and skin cane (P3) or P5.Keywords: Liquid organic fertilizer, and Soybean Production

Abstract

Wood is still an important product in forest management activities, therefore the tree volume estimation, measurement of the dimensions of the tree must be done carefully in order to obtain an accurate estimate of the volume of trees that are approaching the estimated volume of the actual volume value. Quality allegations tree volume depends on several factors, including: the level of accuracy desired, tree characteristics, measurement methods, tools used, the current state of the tree dimensional measurement and volume equation used. Estimation of the volume of standing trees research is done in pine plantations (Pinus Jung et de Vriese), in plot 3 a RPH Salam, BKPH North Lawu, KPH Lawu DS, Class VIII KU Forest planting year 1971. Selection of forest class (KU) VIII in this study caused the average grade woods RPH Salam entry into VIII KU and KU logging targets became possible when the time has been unproductive in producing. sap. From the research, the calculation of total sample volume manually tree stand at 171.92 m3 or an average of 2,097 m3 / tree with a minimum volume of 0562 m3 and a maximum of 6.773 m3. Based on the criteria of R2, RSS and SE then elected volume prediction model is Model quadratic equation Y = -1.157 + 2.606 + 15.056 dbh dbh2 .. R2 = 0.996, RSS = 0.1078, SEE = 0107. In calculating the volume using quadratic models shows that the total volume of 82 samples obtained tree volume amounted to 171.87 m3 models or an average of 2,096 m3 / tree. The minimum volume of 0,550 m3 and a maximum of 6.473 m3. Based on t test. test found that t value of 0.053 while t table at 82-1 df = 81 5% (α = 0.05) of 1.615, t (<) is smaller than t table so there is no difference sigifikan / evident between calculations manual volume with the volume calculation using a quadratic models.Keywords: Tree volume, dbh, tree height, form factor, taper function, importance sampling, centroid sampling.
