Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of urea fertilizer on the level of pest attacks Riptortus linearis. This research was conducted in experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture of Soerjo Ngawi University located on Jalan Raya Cepu Ngawi East Java from October to December 2016. The materials used in this research are Grobogan Groundnut seed variety and IAC.100 strain, R. linearis pest, Gauze, compost, 8 kg polybag and Urea fertilizer. The tools used in this research are hoes, hoods, gembor, sample boards, bamboo, jars, stationery and cameras. This research was conducted using Division of Distributed Plot (RPT), the main plot consisted of two varieties (V) and sub plots consisted of four doses (N), so there were eight experimental treatment combinations.The results showed that there was no interaction between Urea fertilization with Grobogan and IAC.100 strains. The use of Urea fertilizer at a dose of 100 kg per hectare causes the number of pods to be attacked higher and there is a significant difference when compared to the dose of 75 kg per hectare, 50 kg per hectare and without treatment. The IAC.100 strain shows a higher degree of susceptibility than Grobogan varieties, especially on the number of pods, seeds attacked, healthy seeds and attacked seeds. keywords: urea fertilizer, brown ladybird (riptortus linearis fabricius), Soybean (glycine max l.)

Abstract

All farmers desperately need quality seeds to increase their agricultural products. The aim of this research is to know the interaction of storage conditions and varieties on the viability of sesame seeds. The research method using Completely Randomized Design consisted of 2 factors and repeated 4 times. The first factor consists of: SBR 3, SBR 4, and H2 varieties. The second factor consists of: storage conditions with temperature 9C and 55% humidity in the refrigerator, storage conditions with a temperature of 30C and a humidity of 88% in a dark room, the storage conditions of temperature and humidity of 66% 33c in the room with Irradiation lamp lamp 40 watt. The parameters consisted of: weight of 1000 seeds of sesame seed (gram), seed water content (%), pH level and viability (%). Results of the analysis showed there was an interaction between the parameters of a sesame seed weight of 1000 seeds and seed moisture content for 6 weeks, the pH during 3 weeks, 6 weeks and 12 weeks, viability 9 weeks. There was a strong correlation between 1000 seed weight, moisture content and viability. Storage conditions with low temperature and low humidity of SBR 3 sesame produce 94.50% viability. Storage conditions at room temperature and high humidity SBR 4 sesame varieties yield 90.75% viability. Storage conditions with high temperature and low humidity of SBR 4 varieties produce viability of 85.25%, but susceptible to fungus fusarium sp. Keywords: sesame varieties, storage conditions, moisture content, viability.

Abstract

One of agricultural commodities that can be developed further as raw material of agroindustry is papaya (Carica papayaL).Papaya tree is very beneficial for health, papaya fruit is nutritious as a food digestive system, while the leaves of papaya can be made as vegetables as a traditional madicine. In Madiun Regencies most of population rely on agriculture, plantation and horticulture.although papaya is rich in nutrients but the papaya is very easily damaged, so the handling must be careful during harvesting, packaging and transportation. Therefore processing papaya into various processed products is the right solution to overcome the problem, in additional to increase the added value. In order to increase the added value of papaya, papaya fruit processed as a papaya candy and papaya sauce. Based on the problem above, the purpose of research to be achieved is to analyze the added value of papaya commodities into processed products as a candy and papaya sauce. From the research that has been done can be concluded as follows: (1) The added value created from each kilogram of fresh papaya into papaya sauce is IDR 5.919,9 or 65.7% of production cost. (2) The added value created from each kilogram of fresh papaya into papaya candy is IDR 4.100,0 or 54.6% of production cost. Keywords: Added Value, Processed Product, Papaya

Abstract

The purpose of this study is as follows: (1) To know the method of single bud breeding; (2) To know the influence of Rootone-F growth regulator on growth of single bud cassava seeds; And (3) to know the effective concentration of growth regulating substances in the cultivation of single bud cassava. The study was conducted for 15 days at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture of SOERJO Ngawi University. Materials used in this study include Cassava, Rootone-F, Aquades and Planting Media (Sand, Compost, Soil). While the tools used in this study include saws / cutting knives, glass mineral water, pipettes, measuring cups, beaker glass, spatula and handsprayer (spray tool). Research findings: (1) Single bud system is a plant hatching system using 1 bud eye. Cassava stalks that are more than 6 months old in pieces and then taken the eyes of his buds that are in each segment of cassava stems; (2) Plant growth regulators in plants are non-nutrient organic compounds, which in small amounts may support, inhibit and alter the physiological processes of plants; (3) The plant growth regulator in the plant consists of five groups namely Auxin, Giberelin, Cytokinin, Ethylene and Inhibitor with distinctive features and different effects on physiological processes; (4) The use of rootone-f on a single bud breeding system is used to help accelerate the growth of the root system. The growth regulator substances contained by rootone-f ie IAA, IBA, and NAA work on root meristem tissue to form a new root system; (5) Single bud breeding system in this cassava includes a new technology and innovation in agricultural world in Indonesia. keywords: growth regulators, cassava plants (manihot esculenta), single bud method

Abstract

Progeny test a study was carried out on five Holstein Friesian Bulls at Artificial Insemination Centre Singosari Malang. The study was based on 234 milk production records of daughter cows. The progeny test was done based on contemporary comparison (CC) and Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (BLUP) methods. The result analysis showed that CC values of D, A, B, F and E bulls were 194,754 kg, 132,321 kg, 108,084 kg, -126,747 kg and -338,985 kg respectively. Therefore Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (BLUP) values of B, B, A, F and E bulls were 93,5 kg, 81,9 kg, -9,1 kg, -67,3 kg and -99,0 kg respectively. There was no significant Spearman’s rank correlation between the CC method and BLUP method. According to the superiority of these methods, it was known that the CC method was still a reliable method for progeny test.Keywords : progeny test, zuriat contemporary comparison, best linear unbiased

Abstract

The declining quality of the environment that has the effect of reducing national rice productivity. Required cultivation techniques where the production of rice crops remain qualified, attention to the health and soil fertility and maintain the environment that is by using organic materials that are easy to find around the environment. Like leaf lamtoro plant, blotong, azolla plant, pure manure, molasses and utilization of microorganisms. The aim of this research is to study the response of organic composition as nutrient to growth and yield of rice crop (Oryza sativa L.) Ciherang Variety. The method of research was used Completely Randomized Design of one factor with three replications. Implementation of research using media polybag so get 72 polybag on each replication. Each replication is multiplied by three to 216 polybags, the distance between polybags is 25 cm. The results of the composition of organic matter showed the highest value on the treatment (Urea, SP36 and KCl) in all variables. The average number of tillers and the number of panicles showed higher yields on the average number of pith (%) and the lowest number of seeds (%). Some of the above variables show the study of the composition of organic materials as nutrients to growth and yield of rice crop (Oryza sativa L.) Abstract

Agroindustry always means adding value. Similarly, the food management industry. With good system and management method, agroindustry will increase the added value of processed agricultural products so that the result can penetrate the market. One food polishing industry that plays a role in the absorption of labor in rural areas is the soybean processing industry in the form of tofu industry. Industry has a large enough population and generally in the form of household industry. To know more about the role of tofu industry at different business scale level, it is necessary to do research on “Influence of Industrial Scale To Know Efficiency in Production in Banjarejo Village , Taman Sub-district, Madiun City”. Research Objectives, among others: To know the income level of home industry know at various business scale. To know the absorption of labor of home industry know at various business scale. To know the productivity of the workforce of home industry know at various business scale. To know the feasibility level of home industry know at various business scale. The study used the method of analysis and its implementation by survey technique. Method of determining the research area using purposive sampling method that is in District Banjarejo. Determination of the number of samples using snow ball sampling method. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Technique of collecting data is done by recording, observation and interview. The results showed that profitability of household industry know the scale of small business average in one month Rp. 2,281,514.63 with B/C Ratio of 1.17. This shows that the industry knows in Kelurahan Banjarejo in Madiun City Beneficial and feasible because B/C ratio is greater than 1. A business is feasible to use if the value of B? C Ratio> 1 and a business is not feasible to use when the value of B/C Ratio <1. Keywords : Efficiency, business scale, production, income
