Abstract

A field experiment was undertaken to study the effect of different Microorganism Local (MOL) on the growth, biomass yield and fresh bulb yield of onion (Allium cepa L.).  Eight kind treatment of MOL that is without MOL (M0), bamboo shoot (M1), banana hump (M2), snail (M3), fruit (M4), vegetable (M5), bael fruit (M6), salted fish (M7) and fish (M8).  The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design replicated three times. Application of Microorganism Local exerted significant influence on the plant length, number of tillers, bulb fresh weight, total of fresh and dry weight biomass, but no significant difference on the diameter of bulb and number of a bulb. The biggest increase of onion plant length on M6 (51,10) % and the number of tillers in M8 (115,31) %.  The effect of MOL type was significantly different on the fresh bulb weight, and M8  gave the highest weight 54,40 g/clump. The effect of diameter and number of bulb on the fresh weight is indicated by multiple regression equation Y = -33.52 + 28, 63 X1 + 3.12 X2 with coefficient of determination R2 = 0.870. Total fresh weight and dry of  plant biomass at most on  M8 treatment were 85,08 g / clump and 12,50 g / clump which was not different with M3. Keywords: bulb, dry weight biomass, microorganism local, onion

Abstract

Empowerment of yard which is solution of problem of limited agricultural land experienced by urban society. The problem of agroindustry up to now is always faced with obstacles of supply management and quality of raw materials. The expected research objectives are to identify and assess the types of crops grown on the yard and determine the priority of agro-industrial development potential in Magetan City. The method used in this research is descriptive method implemented on some respondents who empower the yard as a provider of raw materials agroindustry. Location samples are chosen purposively with non-random methods and are selected on the basis of consideration. The location chosen in this research is Magetan City Region. while the method of data analysis in determining the priority of agroindustry potential that is used is Exponential comparison method (MPE). The results of the research are as follows: (a). In the city of Magetan, the use of yard is done by the cultivation of Fruit, Vegetable and Medicinal Plants (TOGA) plants, (b). Priorities 1 to 3 which are potential for development as raw materials of agroindustry are as follows: Plant Fruit Type namely Mango, Melinjo and Banana, Types of Vegetable Crops ie Chilli, Sledri and Tomato, Types of Medicinal Plants (TOGA) ie Ginger, Turmeric and Pandanus. (c) Type of Agroindustry Processed Products that can be developed in Magetan City according to the potential of cultivation in the yard is as follows: Type of Fruit Crop can be processed into Various Chips, Dodol, Syrup, Fruit Extract, etc., Types of Vegetable Crops can be processed into Various Kripik, Sambel Pecel, Saos etc, Types of Medicinal Plants can be processed into Candy, Syrup, Processed Seasonings, Jamu, Instant Ginger etc. Keywords: Agroindustry, Yard, Plant Diversity

Abstract

Efforts to anticipate the impacts of climate change, already or maybe will happen is by mitigation by multiplying the forest stands. The objective of this research is to know the content of forest biomass of the People's Forest Management Unit (FMU) Lawu Manunggal village Tapak District Panekan. Research Methods. Inventory of stands with the manufacture of plots of 0.05 Ha wide circle. Biomass estimation by destructive sampling method. Typical forest area Tapak Village 244 Ha, consists of 4 types of stands like mindi, Mahogany, Teak and Sengon. Potential of Biomass per Ha Mindi type 90.53 ton / Ha, Mahogany: 102,210 Ton / Ha, Teak 69,849 ton / Ha Sengon 33,480 ton / Ha. Stem organs have a contribution of 59.30%, branch: 10.94%, leaves 9.63% and roots 20.13% of total standing biomass. Total Village Biomass Tapak of 3,227.74 Ton consists of Mindi Type 905.34 Ton, Mahoni 1,289.11 tons, Teak 689.49 Ton and Sengon of 334.80 tons. Keywords: Mitigation, Biomass, Forest People

Abstract

The use of blast resistant varieties is an effective and environmentally friendly control. The planting of several resistant varieties with different sources of resistance genes can prevent the epidemic cycle of blast disease. Blas disease can reduce rice production by up to 70% and infect all plant stadia stadia such as leaves, shoots, panicles, but rarely found on leaf midrib. Based on the research, it can be concluded that (1) 21 test genotypes showed different responses to leaf blast disease, this can be seen from incubation period, attack intensity and endurance category; (2) The intensity level of genotype K-203, Mekongga, K-56, CMS B, K-76, K-32, K-157, Cibogo, Ciherang, Hipa 8, IR 64, K-162, K-137, K-67, K-132, K-79, K-160 and Inpari 13 correlated with epidermal thickness, but on IR 64 ss genotype this did not occur. Keywords: leaf tissue, leaf blast disease (pyricularia oryzae cav.),  rice genotype (oryza sativa l.)

Abstract

Open University as one of State Universities since the beginning has done different lectures with regular colleges. In Distance Learning Higher Education (PTTJJ) students are required to study independently. Self-learning requires students to learn on their own initiative or initiative. Self-study can be done independently or in groups, either in study groups or in tutorial groups. Self-study will support a learning paradigm centered on Student Center Learning (SCL) students, is not teacher-centered Teacher Center Learning (TCL) teaching. Student-centered learning feels more empowering thinking skills and can construct knowledge. Learning through questioning is one way that can be empowered so that students can construct knowledge. PBMP (Empowerment of Thinking Through Questions) or TEQ (Thinking Empowerment by Questioning). Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of green krinyu (Chromolaena odorataL.) On the growth and production of maize (Zea mays L). Research begins in early January 2018 to March 2018 with high rainfall and wind conditions. The materials used in this research are DK3 corn variety, krinyu residue (leaf and branch), urea fertilizer, SP-36 and KCl fertilizer, Delsene 80 WP fungicide to control fungi. This research uses Non-Tactile Group Randomized Designs: T1 = N0P0K0, T2 = Kirinyu, T3 = Kirinyu + N0P60K45, T4 = Kirinyu + N60P60K45, T5 = Kirinyu + N120P60K45 and T6 = N120P60K45 with Krinyu Requirement 18.75 ton / ha, Urea 300 kg / ha, SP-36 100 kg / ha and KCl 100 kg / ha. The findings show that the application of krinyu green manure has no significant effect on all observation variables. Abstract

The “uwi” plant (Dioscorea sp.) as one of the most potent types of potatoes supports the food diversity and food security in the future. This plant is easy to cultivate and tolerant to critical upland. The objective of this research is to obtain the most efficient and effective method of planting of uwi plants to overcome the limitations of commercial seedlings. The research was conducted in Agronomy Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty of Universitas Merdeka Madiun from September to November 2017, using a randomized block design consisting of 3 factors repeated three times. These factors are the implant tuber part, thick implant, and type uwi D. alata. Three types of media are used as blocks consisting of soil media, sand and husk. Observations included the growth rate of sprout, shoot length, bud stem diameter, number of leaves and dry weight of buds. The results showed that to overcome the limitations of uwi seedlings can use all parts of the tuber without distinguishing the type. The part of tuber implants for seedlings only causes the growth of buds to be rather slow, and possibly only impacts on delayed planting and harvesting. While the skin of tuber peel can still be used for seedlings, although shoots that grow smaller, which can be overcome with a more optimal cultivation techniques. Keywords : implant part, tuber thick skin, “uwi” types, germination
