Abstract

Access to intranet and internet networks in the campus area requires a number of Wi-Fi devices to cover the coverage area of Udayana University. The Wi-Fi service is expected to be used for VoIP applications in the context of wireless communications. The IEEE 802.11g standard specifies an outdoor service range of 140 m and an indoor service range of 38 m. From research conducted in the engineering faculty area, the quality of VoIP service uses Wi-Fi with range of 25 m. In this research, the design of Udayana University campus Wi-Fi needs using Atoll application with IEEE802.11g standard at 140 m, 38m and 25m ranges. The results obtained to cover Udayana University campus area require Wi-Fis: 7 units for range 140 m, 98 units for range of 38 m and 225 units for range of 25 m

Abstract

Grounding system is one of the components in building equipment security. To fulfill the operational continuity of electronic equipment in Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Denpasar, a grounding system with a ground resistance of ? 3 ohms is required to be installed. The aim of this study is to find out the characteristics of grounding system to secure the equipment in the building around the research location, with ground resistance of ? 3 ohms and it is expected to be beneficial to use as a reference in grounding system installation as well as.  According to the measurement results at the research location, it is found that the soil resistance value is equal to 0.23 ohms, where the soil resistivity (?) is 28.89 Ohm-meters. There are some results analysis obtained in ground resistance value of ? 3 Ohm. Those are 1) grounding system type 1 rod where minimal depth installation of the electrode is 14 meters with ground resistance value of 2.6751 ohms; 2) grounding system type two rod with s < L, it is obtained that each depth is 8 meters with distance of 2 meters between electrodes, where the ground resistance value is 2.4940 ohms. In the installation of two electrodes with s > L, it is gained that the depth of each electrode is 6 meters where the distance between the electrodes is 8 meters and the ground resistance value is 2.8718 ohms. By applying the plates type grounding system with 3 meters in length, 1 meter in width, and 2 meters in installation depth is gained 2.8431 ohms ground resistance value. Furthermore, by applying grid type grounding system with 2 meters in length h = 2,5 meters in depth, A = 4 meters in width and the total length of the electrode diameter 1 cm is 504 meters, it is obtained 2.0978 ohms ground resistance value.

Abstract

The paper proposed usage of LMS Moodle for adaptive learning implementation because of its simplicity and its capabilities. LMS Moodle has wide range of features to satisfy many learning styles. Adaptive learning design in this paper recommended blended learning method which involves face-to-face activity and LMS Moodle utilization. In this initial design stage, only five LMS Moodle activities were chosen. The selected activities have met all learning styles requirements.

Abstract

Development of new and renewable energy source always developed by world researchers which one of those is energy source from water, because it’s friendly for environment and low cost. Water is one of energy source which it’s have big potential in all Indonesian territory. The main problem from microhydropower plants is a water discharge which it’s flow is not continued every year because influenced by weather season. Micro Hydro is a microhydro power plants (MHP)in a small scale. A micro hydro can be operated in a certain of time if it has a enough water supply. To knowing a right of micro hydro’s  characteristic is not easy thing to learn it. It is because a characteristic each of micro hydro’s installation location is considered specific location.               One type of micro hydro is using Archimedes Screw Turbine. Udayana University of Electrical Engineering Department in this time not have a facility for hydropower field to use this model, so a college student not yet to receive a knowledge of this. Through this research, a writer want to expand a college student’s knowledge in hydropower field with create a prototype of micro hydro with Archimedes Screw Turbine to hydropower practical in laboratory. In this research the effect of screw’s height angle conversion and effect of water pressure conversion has to be researched. In this study will discuss the influence of water pressure and slope of the altitude angle on the rotation produced by the Archimedes screw turbine so that it can be seen the voltage, current, power generated by the generator, torque and efficiency . The result of from handmade equipment for this research in angle 400 with biggest generator round (rpm) is 3768 (rpm) and highest power is 10.92057 watt, torque adalah 0.60 Nm dan efisiensi sebesar 14 %. The torque which resulted from water pressure 24 psi is 0,73 Nm and efficience 18,01 %. The voltage, current, and output power which resulted in generator is 85,8 Volt, 0,1963 Ampere and 16,85 Watt. For generator speed round in the pressure 24 Psi is 4582 rpm, while turbine speed round which resulted from the pressure 24 Psi is 383 rpm before coupled with generator and 222 rpm after coupled with generator.

Abstract

Aviation technology and space is one of the leading technology for developed countries, especially in the form of rocket technology and payload. Countries that are capable of mastering these technologies will be respected by countries all over the world. Indonesia as the island nation and the State's large and extensive maritime already should have independence in the mastery of the technology of the rocket and payload. Therefore, continuous efforts are required to achieve independence, including through enhancing aviation technology and space technology, particularly at early stages the rocket and payload. Remote Sensing Systems At the rocket's Payload was Test remote monitoring system image capture and the attitude of the launch payload through the computer screen (display) continuously (real-time) data obtained from sensors that are mounted on the rocket's payload. 3D point (x, y, z) must be expressed as a graph visualization perspective drawings of rockets with the appropriate direction. The radar conducted computer GS (Ground Segment) or Ground Control Station (GCS). The result of the attitude of the Rocket Test launch Payloads have been able to do the communication data transmission of images and data for 3D (x, y, and z) in real-time to the Ground segment. Wireless communication uses radio telemetry frequency 433 MHz, power of 100 mW, the distance range obtained in this study a maximum of 1000 meter in conditions in the air and without obstruction.

Abstract

Domestic violence is the most common case in the community. Women and children are victims of domestic violence. In Denpasar, Indonesia, currently, data collection system of victims of domestic violence (KDRT) is conducted by the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Agency. It is still has some limitations because it is operating manually. Through this web-based data collection system of domestic violence, a complaint report on domestic violence can be done digitally so it does not need to report manually to the authorities. In this system, the victims will be given freedom to show or hide their identity. This system receives input filled form of violent reports; next, the complaints report can be known by others (not admin) anonymously. After the complaint report get into in the system, it will be done the next process which is verification. The results of the verification process will determine the validity of complaint reports. After passing the verification process, report data will be recorded in the system and will be done the formulation of follow-up to the action of the case by the legislation authorities.

Abstract

Lighting is very important to support the activities of human life. To maintain the continuity of lighting can use power source from genset or battery. Now many manufactured LED (light emitting diode) bulb type which is energy saving with life time up to 50.000 hours. LEDs of this type can be operated with AC and DC current. The design control charger based Arduino Uno ATmega micro controller is used as a control system for charging and turning on LED lights. In this research the measurement of light intensity is done at 220 volt AC as reference, then measured the intensity of light for operation on some variation of DC voltage. The measurement results at DC voltage, LED Osram can be operated at 115 volt DC has reached the same light intensity with 220 volt AC. This selection aims to reduce the amount of battery usage as a DC power source.
