Abstract

Educator management in terms of planning, recruitment, selection, training, performance, appraisal and compensation is an activity that must be done to gain qualified educators. This esearch is aimed to reveal planning, recruitment, selection, training, performance, appraisal and compensation of educators and described the management process of educators done by MTs Salafiyah Safi'iyah Tebuireng Jombang. This research is qualitative with case study. The results are the first, planning educator mostly has been correlated to the analysis of job recruitment and selection and coaching explicitly. Second, the recruitment and selection activities are not publicly and very limited. Third, coaching has been done represent pattern of systematic planning either in the procedure or the determination of the program, meanwhile the assessment of educator performance has been based on the standard of procedure. Fourth, direct or indirect compensation has been set in the rules and regulations.

Abstract

This research pupose is to know the school based management implementation at SMP Negeri I Diwek and MTs Negeri Keras. The research uses qualitative approach. The data was collected using observation, interview, and documents as instrument.  The result of this research showed that the school based management of both SMP Negeri I Diwek and MTs Negeri Keras by implementing five steps such as: (1) planning, included: situation analysis, formulating objectives and SWOT analysis, (2) implementation, (3) supervision, (4) evaluation, and (5). reporting. The target and gols can be achieved by supporting of various elements exist in the schools, adequate facilities, infrastructure, the work ethic and high morale of all elements. While the inhibiting factors of these two schools is not very meaningful, because both of them have done planning and consideration before the implementation of school-based management. Howeve, the facilities and infrastructure at MTs Negeri Keras is inadequate. The similarities between the two schools are able to implement school-based management properly, implement school and community relations, as well as carrying out monitoring and evaluation based on the ability of each school. The difference is in the form of a program that is implemented at both schools.

Abstract

This study describes the implementation classroom management in increasing the learning effectiveness of Tafsir Ahkam at MTs Al Urwatul Wutsqo Bulurejo Diwek Jombang. This study uses qualitative approach in the form of case study. The data collection in this study used participant observation, in depth interview, and documentation. To test the validity of data, the researcher used extension study, perseverance observation, and triangulation. The results are 1) the lesson plan of Tafsir Ahkam at MTs Al Urwatul Wutsqo Jombang included creating syllabus, lesson plan, semester and the annual program. 2) The organizing classes started from grouping students based on their intelligence, organizing students discipline to keep classroom conducive, organizing methods and means to further emphasize the forms of learning that will be conducted. 3) The implementation of Tafsir Ahkam teacher is the teacher mastery of material,  classroom condition, and the learning approach. 4) classroom evaluation is conducted by assessing of each meeting both cognitive and affective. However, the students affective is an important consideration in determining the score obtained the students.

Abstract

The school challenge is creating qualified human resource who are capable in solving global problems in education. The Total Quality Management (QTM) is a concept of school management in implementing education and it is expected to be able to provide a better change in accordance with the development, the demands and dynamics of society in addressing the problems of education management at the school level. The impelementation steps of Total Quality Management at MTs Salafiyah Syafi``'iyah Tebuireng has fulfilled of Total Quality Management principles. The educational quality of MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah in term of input quality, students, teachers, facilities has reached the target. Besides, the teachers have used variety teaching method, so that students can understang the given materials. The out put quality, MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah is able to produce excellence either in academic or non-academic. The obstacle factors of MTs salafiyah Syafi'iyah quality is: many programs are launched, so that a specified time often clash with other activities, the centralized financial, not all students stay in boarding school,  so the founder can not supervise the students during in hours.

Abstract

Characters is pillars of nation building, moral decadence happened can be overcome by character-based education. The existence of pesantren which mission is preaching Islam has advantages as educational institutions which not only improves the quality of science, but develop and cultivate students' character, because education is based on and driven by the values ??????of Islam. Kiai is a scholar who has task to edify the pupils as the Prophet task, he is also as a central figure in pesantren, whether or not the pesantren develope, depends entirely on the leadership of kiai. The result of the study about the role of kiai the first, he is as initiators, framers, originator and designer patterns of development, curriculum author, being the type of leadership is rational Sufi, charismatic and paternalistic spiritual. Second, the pattern of development of character-based education model patterns of internal and exsteren development. Third, the method of character education by teaching methods (At Ta'lim), methods of habituation (At Ta'wiid), and Qudwah methods. Fourth, inhibiting and supporters Factors.

Abstract

Pesantren as the oldest of educational institutions has fulfilled in preparing religion expert an scholars, besides, it also created many freedom fighter and national leaders. The leadership in pesantren of Al Urwatul Wutsqo has two types, namely charismatic and democratic.  The charismatic leader can be seen from his owned science, firmness, wisdom, good, obedient, sincere, and fair in organizing and managing his pesantren. He is also altruistic than himself. Therefore, many people are disinclined him. Meanwhile his democratic can be viewed from his action or policy always includes his subordinates. The results have been achieved are: 1) organization of educational institutions, both formal and non formal, 2) education based on the Qur'an, the curriculum of education is oriented to implement al Qur'an and hadith verses. Besides, the pupils must teach and spread them, 3) carrying out free education from cottage to college, 4) developing the pupils talents in a variety of skills for example agriculture, livestock, buildings, the furniture, sewing, and many others.

Abstract

The headmaster leadership is one of important factors to realize the vision, mission, goals, and objective of that school through the programs conducted planned and pushed.  The headmaster eventually is required to have adequate management and leadership ability to be able to initiative in improving the school quality. The headmaster of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negri Diwek Jombang has done education management function, such as planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling. The efforts have been done in educational management innovation of MTsN are: a) increasing the education personnel quality, b) improving the discipline of teachers, c) providing facilities and infrastructure. d) grouping students and e) creating program extracurricular and religious activities. The supporting factor is the teacher is active in assisting the implementation of innovation and the availability of infrastructure, while inhibiting factor is many teachers are not qualified.

Abstract

Leadership style and organizational culture in an organization has big effect toward the growth of employee motivation to work. In education as well as, the school leadership style and  organizational culture have influence of teachers? motivation in conducting their tasks. The study is aimed to describe how far the school leadership style and  organizational culture influence teachers? motivation to work at MTs Arrohman Jombang. This study is quantitative and questionnaire as the instrument. The result shows that the leadership style and organizational culture partially or simultaneously influence significantly on the teachers? motivation in MTs Arrohman Jombang in academic year of 2015/2016 proved by t-test results t test > t table (3,358 > 2,023) with a significant level of t < 5% (0,002 < 0,05) and Ftest of 79,228 and a significance level of F < 5% (0.000 <0,05). Whereas, the influence of variables of leadership style and organizational culture on the teachers? motivation was 80,2% and the rest of 19,8% is influenced by other factors

Abstract

The main component to know the effectiveness of the learning process is through assessment. The relevance of assessment methods with the curriculum applied in educational institutions is very important. The assessment method relevant with the 2013 curriculum is an authentic assessment. This authentic assessment method measures the competence of attitudes, skills and knowledge based on process and outcome (competence of cognitive, affective, psychomotor). In contrast to the previous curriculum assessment methods that always emphasize cognitive competence (knowledge) and tend to be oriented to exam results, in authentic assessment teachers always pay attention to the balance between attitude competency assessment, knowledge and skills tailored to the development of characteristics of learners in accordance with the ladder. As has been observed in SDN Ploso I Pacitan with the results of the implementation level of authentic assessment of Islamic Education has not been effective. This is constrained by the teacher's lack of awareness in the assessment process.

Abstract

The effectiveness of communication in the teaching and learning activity is when the students are able to draw meaning of information they have received. The use of learning source of media have an important role to increase students competence especially PAI. The students knowledge will not be verbal, they ara able to internalize and apply in attitude and behavior as spiritual and social. The media as intermediaries can cause same meaning as message between teacher and students, so that the learning can be communicative. In maximizing PAI learning and reaching the goal, it needs many considerations in choosing media, such as 1) the media should be accurate and representative, 2) the interaction gained, 3) the special ability media posses, 4) degree of motivation, 5) and the cost needed.
