Abstract

Museum experiences a paradigm shift from the traditional museum into a modern museum then post-modern museum which gave birth to the movement of the eco-museum. As a museum established in the modern era, Museum Sri Baduga needs to adjust to the new paradigm of museology. The focus of this study is to find the suitability of the museum Sri Baduga current principles with the principles of eco-museum both physical and managerial aspects of the museum and what changes should be madeto achieve the ideal eco-museum. Methods of data collection is done with literature study and field observation. Methods of data analysis is conducted qualitatively by using the Eco-museum guidance indicator of Corsane Gerard (2006. The presentation method of data analysis is done informally in the form of a narrative. The findings in this study are the strengths and opportunities that are owned by the museum Sri Baduga to meet the principles of eco-museum that cannot be completed at this time. Abstract

The focus of the study is on how the process of fi lmmaker in producing his works. Especially on the technology of silent fi lm to become the cinematic techniques in visualizing the present fi lms. Narratively, this study analyzes the small portion of the fi lm through coding system, namely, descriptive code and interpretative code in order to obtain the pa" ern of the codes. Meanwhile, the use of silent fi lm techniques is also analyzed technically.The narrative aspect of The Artist visualizes the actor of silent fi lm in his up and down moments. Narratively, the plot of this fi lm moves regarding with the lives of the main character (George Valentin). The cinematic aspect applies silent fi lm technique. One of them is seen through the black and white coloring. The coloring technique is signifi cant to build the atmosphere and the tone of the fi lm. The technique of this silent fi lm is the milestone for the emergence of the style of silent fi lm which becomes the model mode in producing fi lm.Keywords: silent fi lm technique, The Artist fi lm, narrative, cinematic

Abstract

Upcycle woven fabric is an innovation product applying upcycling concept produced by CV Tarum Bali. The eminence of this product is the using of natural dye which increases the selling value. This is interesting to be studied because of the uniqueness of color and motif of the product. The method applied in this study is qualitative. The samples are determined based on purposive sampling, while the data are collected from observation, interview, and documentation. The result shows that the natural dyes used for the upcycle are as follows: the leaves of mahogany tree for brown color; blackfrom the leaves of ketapang tree; yellow from the leaves of mango tree; red from the log of secang tree; indigo or blue from the leaves of tarum. The colors usually applied for upcycle woven fabric tend to be lightcolor which is not easily faded. The motif of the upcycle is usually the order of horizontal lines. The motif emerges from the crossing between lungsi yarn and rag strings. The motif arrangement of the upcycle is either the repetition of form, direction, sixe, or color which considers the composition, balance, and rythm. The motif of horizontal lines is compounded by the repetition of rythm and transition to reach formal balance. Abstract

A song is one of the universal human products. As the work of art, a folk song is rarely appreciated by the public. However, it saves signifcance which can certainly be applied for the beneft of education. The research tries to disclose three children Sundanese songs, they are, ucang-ucang angge, cing caripit kajapit, and oray-orayan. The lyrics and the song embody the creativity that can help children learning. Although not directly related to religious teachings, this song becomes a good stimulus for the students to be consistent in learning.Keyword: Culture, Creativity, Song, Work of Art

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif melalui pendekatan teori Semiotika dari Peirce. Tujuan utama studi ini adalah menganalisis, merancang media promosi dan identitas visual dalam mengembangkan segmentasi pasar dan dikenal sebagai industri kerajinan daerah Desa Ketanen Gresik dalam dua tahun ini. Berdasarkan teri dam metoda yang digunakan, maka Hasil penelitiannya berupa redesain visual logo yang lebih modern, yang mampu mengikuti trend serta memiliki daya saing. Penentuan media promosi mempertimbangkan kemudahan konsumen untuk mengenal produk yang dihasilkan. Penerapan media kartu nama sebagai identitas produk, brosur sebagai pengenalan kualitas produk dan website sebagai penguat identitas produk. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi, studi pustaka, dan wawancara. Objek yang didapat adalah data-data dari hasil Seiring kemajuan jaman di era 4.0, khususnya sektor industri yang cukup pesat perkembangannya, yakni industri kerajinan tersebut belum mampu menembus pasar global.  Dengan demikian memberikan peluang bagi para pelaku industri khususnya perajin dengan produk kerajinannya yang termasuk pada sub sektor industri kreatif yakni salah satunya adalah  Desa Ketanen, Panceng, Gresik yakni  daerah yang membangun industri kerajinan local. Aspek visual, logo masih belum menunjukkan kepribadian dan jiwa KIK. Dengan demikian diperlukan redesain logo yang memiliki kekuatan dalam hal penyampaian pesan, mengubah persepsi dan membangun pencitraan sebagai industri kerajinan tongkol jagung. Kata Kunci: redesain, logo, citra produk, media promosi, kerajinan

Abstract

The changes of lengger role is closely related to a shift in the meaning of the role of Lengger by Somakaton Village community as a sacred figure representing Dewi Sri. These issues need to be discussed to find out the link between the role of Lengger Lanang to be Lengger Wadon. The purpose of this study is to determine the public response to the background of Lengger Lanang Dariah, thevalues contained in Lanang Lengger Dariah, and to know the factors that cause social change, and factors in the development of Lengger Banyumasan. The method used is descriptive analytical. The process of data collection is through the study of documentation, observation and interviews. The result shows that the spiritual activities like sin confession, fasting, ritual offering, and meditatingare still done by Lengger Lanang Dariah. Lengger Banyumasan describes the emotional involvement between the Lengger roles so that social change dominates all these activities.Keywords: Lengger Lanang Dariah, Lengger Banyumasan, crossgender

Abstract

Indonesian has about 300 ethnic groups. Each ethnic groups has an ethnic heritage developed over the centuries that is infuenced by Indian, Arabic, European and Chinese culture, that is Chinese New Year. The celebrations of Chinese Lunar New Year are held by the farmers in China on the first day of the frst month at the beginning of the new year. This celebration is also closely related to the spring festival that begins on the 30th of the 12th month and ends on the first 15th of the month or better known as Cap Go Meh. This Lunar New Year tradition falls in February. Imlek began to be known since the time of the Xia Dynasty. At the celebration of Chinese New Year, many myths are still believed by the Chinese community. Myths are believed to be something that some people believe, commonly used to frighten, warn, or tell them in a sustainable way. This study tries to fnd out the myths of Chinese New Year tradition. The study applies the theory of Bronislaw Malinowski. The result of the study shows the myth of tradition from the Chinese New Year celebrations in Chinese society.Keywords: Chinese New Year, tradition, myth

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjelaskan makna dalam pertunjukan Surak Ibra (Boboyongan) di Desa Cinunuk Kecamatan Wanaraja Kabupaten Garut. Kajian ini menggunakan pendeka- tan ilmu antropologi dengan metode pene litian yang bert sifat kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori strukturalisme Levi Strauss terutama untuk mencari makna dari pertunjukanSurak Ibra ini. Pertunjukan Surak Ibra (Boboyongan) merupakan seni peryunjukan helaran, yang didalamnya terdapat unsur-unsur berupa seni musik, tari dan rupa Hasil telaah menunjukan, bahwa pertu njukan Surak Ibra mempunyai makna di setiap unsur pertunjukannya, yaknisebagai  alat pemersatu identitas masyarakat; Me ngandung pesan bahwa ?cobaan kehidu- pan?  harus dihadapi dengan perjuangan; Perjuangan gigih tanpa lelah, menghasil kan penyelesaian yang baik, dan menda patkan kepuasan. Kata kunci: Surak Ibra (boboyongan), strukturalisme, makna.

Abstract

Persib jersey 2014 is the pride for bobotoh, because Persib became a champion for Indonesia Super League (ISL) competition in 2014. Not only to a! ract the customer, good performance of Persib also to attract the sponsor to promote their brands. Local culture of West Java use for Persib jersey 2014 design elements and become an interesting phenomenon in the middle of the issue of local culture decrease. Production of Persib jersey 2014 trough some processes, like simplifi cation to icon, logo, and design elements in jersey. Artwork design created from internal and external infl uences. The internal infl uences are idea/concept, regulation of FIFA, PSSI, and media requirements. The External infl uence is to understand the audience taste/trend. There are some processes such as regulation, signifi cation, consumption, production, and identity relates each others. In order to understand the meaning of Persi  jersey of 2014, the Circuit of culture was created to fi nd the interrelated from as many angles, and in as many contexts, as possible to articulating the meaning. Abstract

Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui makna yang terdapat pada lirik lagu ?Panghudang Rasa? karya Eutik Muchtar. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dalam upaya untuk mengungkap makna yang terkandung di dalam lirik lagu ?Panghudang Rasa? secara keseluruhan. ?Panghudang Rasa? merupakan lagu mutilaras dan sempat populer dalam genre kesenian Kiliningan Sunda dan Wayang Golek, karena segi musikalnya yang luar biasa. Lirik lagu ?Panghudang Rasa? mengandung makna yang menarik untuk dikaji. Analisis menggunakan teori semiotik model Riffaterre yang mengemukakan metode pemaknaan yang khusus. Teori semiotik Riffaterre ini merupakan yang paling tepat, karena analisanya mengarah pada pemberian makna sebuah karya sastra (lirik lagu). ?Panghudang Rasa? merupakan karya Eutik Muchtar yang isinya adalah curahan isi hatinya yang mengajak semua orang untuk kembali kejalan yang benar atau ngelingan karena kematian bisa datang kapan saja. Kata Kunci: Makna lirik Lagu Panghudang Rasa, Semiotik Riffaterre.
