Abstract

Research has been done to develop the kind of integrated science teaching type webbed (Syllabus, Lesson Plans, Student Work Sheet, Student Book, Student Achievement Test) with guided inquiry model that aims to teach self directed learning and life skills junior high school students. Learning materials developed by four D model there are define, design, develop, and disseminate. Learning materials were validated by the experts to determine the validity of the materials and tested on 35 students of grade VII junior high school odd semester academic year 2015/2016 using the One Group Pre-test and Post Test Design. The data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative-qualitative. The results are: 1) The validity of the materials is very valid category (score 3.63); 2) Readability worksheet shows 100% the content interesting and easy to understand, 82.86% Student Work Sheet attractive appearance and legibility Student Book legible and suitable for use in junior high school students with an average number of sample sentences readings taken by researchers is 5.93 sentence in 100 words with the average number of syllables 145.2; 3) the successful is very good (average score of 3.71); 4) The students responded very positively (97.14%); 5) Student?s activities are student centered type; 6) increased student learning achievement (N-gain 0.74); 7) The self directed learning and improve students' life skills. The conclusions of this research are integrated science teaching materials types based guided inquiry type webbed developed is feasible to use in teaching self directed learning and ability of life skills junior high school students. Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed (Silabus, RPP, LKS, Buku Siswa, Tes Hasil Belajar) dengan model inkuiri terbimbing yang bertujuan untuk melatih kemandirian belajar dan kecakapan hidup siswa SMP. Perangkat pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan model 4D (four D model) terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan penyebaran (disseminate). Perangkat pembelajaran divalidasi oleh para pakar untuk mengetahui validitas perangkat dan diujicoba pada 35 siswa kelas VII SMP semester gasal tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan rancangan One-Group Pre test and Post test Design. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif-kualitatif dengan hasil: 1) Validitas perangkat kategori sangat valid (skor 3.63); 2) Keterbacaan LKS menunjukkan 100% isi LKS menarik dan mudah dipahami, 82.86% penampilan LKS menarik dan keterbacaan Buku Siswa terbaca dan layak digunakan untuk siswa SMP dengan rata-rata jumlah kalimat sampel bacaan yang diambil peneliti adalah 5,93 kalimat dalam 100 kata dengan rata-rata jumlah suku kata 145,2; 3) Keterlaksanaan sangat baik (skor rata-rata 3.71); 4) siswa merespon sangat positif (97.14%); 5) Aktivitas siswa bersifat student center; 6) Hasil belajar siswa meningkat (N-gain 0.74); 7) Kemandirian belajar dan kecakapan hidup siswa meningkat. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe webbed berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan sudah valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan kemandirian belajar dan kemampuan kecakapan hidup siswa SMP.

Abstract

Research development of Integrated Science teaching materials connected type with Dick and Carey model on subject matter water pollution and which aims to improve the learning outcomes of students. The research subject of teaching materials which tested on 32 student of junior high school with design one-group pretest-posttest, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative. The results are validation of teaching materials is valid, learning performance is good. Tests of students learning outcomes were analyzed with N-Gain Increased. Psychomotor skills of students is good), and the teaching materials can develop to students attitudes. The conclusion of this research, that the integrated science teaching materials connected type with environment source learning students in junior high school is feasible and can improve the learning outcomes of studentsTelah dilakukan suatu penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe connected dengan model Dick and Carey pada pokok bahasan pencemaran air dan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP.  Subyek penelitian perangakat pembelajaran yang diujicobakan pada 32 siswa SMP dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest,sedangkan analisis data secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil validasi perangkat pembelajaran valid, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran baik. Tes hasil belajar siswa dianalisis dengan N-Gain mengalami peningkatan, kemampuan psikomotor siswa baik, dan perangkat pembelajaran dapat mengembangkan sikap siswa. Simpulan penelitian ini, bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe connected dengan sumber belajar lingkungan sekitar pada siswa SMP layak dan  dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop learning instruments of science through Contextual Approach using problem solving model which are reasonable to increase critical thinking skills of students. Learning Instruments are developed using 4-D model with one group pretest-posttest design. The Learning Instruments are tested at 74 students class VIII MTs Negeri Bonde Majene Regency West Sulawesi Province third semester 2016/ 2017 school Year for measuring application of lesson plan, hindrances during learning process, result of learning which is critical thinking skills of students, and respons of students to the learning instruments developed. Data Collection uses validation method, observation, testing, and questionnaires. The data of this research are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively description. Finding of the research result, namely: (1) Instrument Validity including lesson Plan, Text book of students, activity sheets of students, test instruments of critical thinking indicated valid; (2) practically learning instruments are obtained from: (a) application of Lesson plan categorized by 95.23% with excellent category, and (b) obstacles during learning process; and (3) affectivity of learning instruments in terms of : (a) critical thinking skills of students through ­n-gain with higher category over 0.7 (Hake, 1999), and (b) the respons of students to the instruments and application of learning are very good. Based on the result of data analysis, can be concluded that learning instruments of science through Contextual Approach using problem solving model are feasible to increase critical thinking skills of students.

Abstract

This research aims to develop guided inquiry based teaching materials which is valid, practical, and effective to facilitate the students? scientific literacy. The development of teaching material used the 4D model  and was tested in grade 7th-D of SMP GEMA 45 in the second semester of  2014/2015 by using the Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection used documentation observation, test, and quetionnaires. The data analysis techniques used quantitative descriptive analysis.The results of this research are:1) Teaching material developed is valid categorised  to be use consisted of Syllabus, Lesson Plan, Student Worksheet, Student Book and Test of student learning outcomes; 2) The practicality of teaching material in terms of a good category in feasibility of lesson plans, the students? activities in accordance with  inquiry model and students give a positive responses toward teaching material and implementation of teaching material developed; and 3) The teaching material effectiveness in terms of: (a) Improving students? learning achievement seen from the individual and classical completeness; (b) Improving students? scientific literacy by getting gain score between middle until high category. Based on data analyzed the teaching materials based on guided inquiry are valid, practical, and effective to facilitate the students? scientific literacy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang layak (valid, praktis, dan efektif) untuk melatih literasi sains siswa. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model 4D  dan diujicobakan di kelas VII-D SMP GEMA 45 semester genap tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi, observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan,: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Perangkat pembelajaran berketagori praktis ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP, aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahap-tahap model inkuiri, dan siswa merespon positif perangkat yang dikembangkan dan implementasinya; serta 3) Perangkat pembelajaran telah efektif ditinjau dari: (a) Peningkatan pengetahuan siswa (b) Peningkatan literasi sains  siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis  inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatih literasi sains siswa sehingga layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

To promote the knowledge of plant anatomy which is frequently taught using traditional method, students need to be involved in authentic learning by providing them an authentic task. Therefore, the aims of this current research are to implement a certain authentic task of plant anatomy; to evaluate the effectiveness of the task on the students? learning achievement includes their performances, knowledge mastery, and perceptions of the task; and to describe some difficulties that occurred during the implementation of the authentic task. This case study research involved a single class consisted of 25 bachelor degree students as the subjects of this research. Observation, interview, and test were implemented to collect variety information during implementation ofthe authentic task. The findings showed that the students? performance scores and the percentage of mastered indicators met the minimum mastery criteria, but the percentage of classical mastery was less than the criteria. It means the authentic task had positive impact only on students? performance, but it could not help the whole students to master the topic. However, regarding to perception, both higher and lower achiever students thought the task was authentic. Nevertheless, there were four obstacles occurred during implementation of the authentic task, they were students? confusion of the task, students? difficulty to make microscope slides,students? difficulty to identify plant structures, and the limited time. Overall, it can be concluded that, contrary to what was expected, the implemented authentic task in this study was not effective for the learners in order to get a good holistic learning achievement due to the difficulties. Therefore, in designing a well authentic task, the educators or developer need to think not only the task, but also students? skills and time allocation. Dalam rangka meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang anatomi tumbuhan yang biasanya diajarkan melalui metode tradisional, siswa perlu dilibatkan dalam pembelajaran autentik melalui pemberian tugas autentik. Oleh karenanya, tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menerapkan suatu tugas autentik tentang anatomi tumbuhan; untuk mengevaluasi keefektivan tugas tersebut terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang meliputi hasil kinerja, ketuntasan materi ajar, dan persepsi siswa terhadap tugas tersebut; serta untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan-kesulitan yang terjadi selama penerapan tugas autentik. Penelitian dengan tipe penyelidikan kasus ini melibatkan satu kelas yang terdiri atas 25 siswa S1 sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengamatan, wawancara, dan tes diterapkan untuk mengumpulkan berbagai informasi selama penerapan tugas autentik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor kinerja siswa dan persentase ketuntasan indikator memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimum, tetapi persentase ketuntasan klasikal tidak mencapai kriteria tersebut. Hal tersebut berarti tugas autentik yang diterapkan memiliki dampak positif hanya terhadap hasil kinerja siswa, tetapi tugas tersebut belum dapat membantu seluruh siswa untuk menuntaskan materi ajar. Walaupun demikian, berkaitan dengan persepsi siswa, baik siswa yang memperoleh nilai tinggi maupun rendah menganggap tugas tersebut autentik. Akan tetapi, terdapat empat kendala yang terjadi selama penerapan tugas autentik tersebut, yaitu: kebingungan siswa terhadap tugas yang diberikan; kesulitan siswa dalam membuat preparat dan mengidentifikasi struktur tanaman; serta keterbatasan waktu yang tersedia. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa, berbeda dengan yang diharapkan, tugas autentik yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini tidak effektif bagi siswa dalam rangka memperoleh hasil belajar holistik yang baik karena kesulitan-kesulitan yang muncul selama penerapannnya. Oleh karena itu, dalam merancang suatu tugas autentik yang baik, pengajar perlu memikirkan tidak hanya tugas autentik itu sendiri, tetapi juga keterampilan siswa dan alokasi waktu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran model guided inquiry untuk menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa MAN Bangkalan pada materi optik menggunakan model pengembangan Borg and Gall. Perangkat pembelajaran berupa Silabus, RPP, Buku Ajar Siswa, LKS, dan Lembar Penilaian Hasil pengembangan perangkat divalidasi oleh 5 orang validator. Uji coba perangkat menggunakan one grup pretes posttest design pada kelas XI MIPA 3 dan kelas XI MIPA 4 MAN Bangkalan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif teknik inferensial Kruskal Wallis dan Wilcoxon?s Sign Rank Test. Hasil penelitian berupa: (1) Validitas perangkat yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat valid berdasarkan skor yang diperoleh dari validator, (2) Kepraktisan perangkat yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari aspek keterlaksanaan perangkat dan aspek aktivitas siswa yang berkategori baik berdasarkan skor yang diperoleh dari pengamat, dan (3) Efektivitas perangkat yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari dampak penurunan beban miskonsepsi siswa kelas XI MIPA 3 awalnya 57% menjadi 3% dan siswa kelas XI MIPA 4 awalnya 53% menjadi 3%.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of learning materials taht developed using problem solving model to facilitate junior high school students? creative thinking skills on global warming. This research was done because the problem solving model?s learning materials to facilitate students? creative thinking skill was less available. Learning in schools was tend to emphasize the aspects of knowledge only, whereas creative thinking skill was an important skill possessed in the 21st century. Applying creative thinking skill in problem solving would generate a lot of ideas that were useful in finding solution. The learning materials were developed using 3D model and one group pretest-posttest design was used as the trial design. The subject in this study was learning materials that was implemented on 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kediri. The results showed that the students' creative thinking skills both in general and each indicator increased. Based on the results and discussion of the study, it can be concluded that the learning materials using problem solving method were effective to facilitate junior high school students? creative thinking skills on global warming. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dengan model problem solving untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP pada materi pemanasan global. Hal ini dilakukan karena perangkat pembelajaran dengan model problem solving untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif kurang tersedia. Pembelajaran di sekolah cenderung menekankan pada aspek pengetahuan saja, padahal keterampilan berpikir kreatif merupakan skill yang penting dimiliki pada abad 21. Penerapan berpikir kreatif dalam problem solving akan menghasilkan banyak ide yang berguna dalam menemukan penyelesaian masalah. Perangkat pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan model 3D dengan rancangan ujicoba penelitian one group pretest-posttest design.  Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah perangkat pembelajaran model problem solving yang diujicobakan pada 32 siswa SMP Negeri 1 Kediri kelas VII. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa baik secara umum maupun tiap indikator meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan diskusi hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran model problem solving efektif untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP pada materi pemanasan global.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an integrated science learning material of Nested model to improve concepts understanding, organizing skills, and thinking skills of students on heat concepts. This development model use Kemp?s model and tested to students at grade 7th of SMP Negeri 19 Samarinda in 2014/2015 academic year. The Pre-Experimental study with three classes consisting of one implementation class and two replication classes using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data of the study collected through validity of learning material, observation, test, and questionnaire. The study found: 1) the validity of the learning material, consists of: (a) the conceptual validity, the RPP gets value 0,91, BAPD gets value  0,90, LKPD gets value 0,89, conceptual understanding test gets value 0,95, organizing skills test get value 1,00, and thinking skills test 0,96; (b) the legibility gets value  85%; and (c) the difficulty level gets value  3,46%; 2) practicality, consists of: (a) the enforceability of RPP gets value  94,8% and (b) obstacles during the learning  can be overcome; 3) effectiveness for three pre-experimental classes, consists of: (a) the activity that not relevant gets value  2,86%; (b) the student?s respon gets value  85,02; and (c) effectiveness of concepts understanding get value 0,82, (d) effectiveness of organizing skills get value  0,79, and (e) effectiveness of thinking skills get value 0,78. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu model Nested yang layak untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, keterampilan mengorganisir, dan keterampilan berpikir peserta didik pada konsep kalor. Model pengembangan perangkat yang digunakan adalah model Kemp dan diujicobakan kepada peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 19 Samarinda tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Rancangan terhadap tiga kelas uji lapang yang terdiri atas satu kelas implementasi dan dua kelas replikasi menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian yang didapat yaitu: 1) validitas perangkat pembelajaran, terdiri atas: (a) validitas konseptual, pada RPP sebesar 0,91, BAPD sebesar 0,90, LKPD sebesar 0,89, soal tes pemahaman konsep sebesar 0,95, soal tes keterampilan mengorganisir sebesar 1,00, dan soal tes keterampilan berpikir 0,96; (b) keterbacaan perangkat sebesar 85%; dan (c) tingkat kesukaran perangkat sebesar 3,46%; 2) kepraktisan, terdiri atas: (a) penilaian keterlaksanaan RPP sebesar 94,8% dan (b) kendala-kendala selama pembelajaran dapat diatasi; 3) keefektifan untuk tiga kelas uji lapang, terdiri atas: (a) aktivitas yang tidak relevan sebesar 2,86%; (b) respon peserta didik sebesar 85,02; dan (c) pemahaman konsep dengan tingkat keefektifan 0,82; (d) keterampilan mengorganisir dengan tingkat keefektifan 0,79; dan (e) keterampilan berpikir dengan tingkat keefektifan 0,78.

Abstract

The study aims to implement learning media guided inquiry-based to improve students? creativity thinking skill of grade X on Pteridophyte material. The type of research was pre-experimental study which used one class without a control class. The study was conducted on March 2019. The research subject was 22 senior high school students of grade X on Pteridophyte sub material. The research design was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The learning media used was lesson plans, student activity sheets, and creative thinking test instruments. The research instrument used was the observation sheet of learning model implementation, the activities of students and the instruments test of creative thinking skills. The data result of creative thinking skills? pre-test and post-test was analyzed by N-Gain analysis which was the result of the students? progress of creative thinking skill after learning conducted. The conclusion was the implementation of guided inquiry-based learning model on Pteridophyte material to improve students? creativity thinking skill. Abstract

Lack of understanding of the concepts students are not due only to the lack of ability of students to absorb the material submitted by teachers, but also influenced by the ability of teachers to manage teaching and learning activities. Teachers have an important role in the sustainability of good teaching, one of them to set up an exciting learning device so enthusiastic student learning. This study aims to develop learning tools guided inquiry-based high school physics to enhance students' understanding of concepts on the subject of Dynamic Electricity. Development of the 4D model and tested in class X in SMAN 1 Babat odd semester academic year 2012/2013. This research is the development of research trial design using the One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. Data collection methods used were questionnaires and observation, while the data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. The result showed that some of the findings: RPP performing well and a high degree of reliability; activity is the dominant student observation / experiment; students 'understanding of the concept after learning improving students' responses to learning a positive model of guided inquiry. Based on the results of this study concluded that the quality of learning that have developed viable use in teaching to enhance students' understanding of physics concepts. Kurangnya pemahaman konsep siswa tidak disebabkan hanya pada kurangnya kemampuan siswa menyerap materi yang disampaikan guru, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan guru dalam mengelola kegiatan belajar mengajar. Guru mempunyai peran penting pada keberlangsungan pembelajaran yang baik, salah satunya untuk menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran yang menarik sehingga siswa antusias mengikuti pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika SMA berbasis guided inquiry untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pokok bahasan Listrik Dinamis. Pengembangan perangkat  menggunakan model 4D dan diujicobakan pada siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Babat pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa temuan yaitu: RPP terlaksana dengan baik dan derajat reliabilitas tinggi; aktivitas siswa yang dominan adalah pengamatan/percobaan; pemahaman konsep siswa setelah pembelajaran meningkat; respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran model guided inquiry positif.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan mempunyai kualitas layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa.
