Abstract

The research on this tourism human resource is titled Comparison of Employee Culture value hotels in Seminyak and Ubud. This research is a quantitative study conducted in two tourist destinations in Bali namely Seminyak and Ubud area. Data collection techniques are carried out by distribution of polls, and literature studies. The research period will be held in August 2019 ? October 2019. As for the research subject specified is a number of each of the 60 employees of the hotel in both areas. Seminyak and Ubud area were chosen as the location of the research with several considerations: 1) Seminyak and Ubud are the main tourist destinations in Bali, 2) The growth of the number of hotels in both regions is equally fast, 3) the culture owned by hotel employees In Seminyak and Ubud need to be analyzed for product development (service). The theory used in the study was the cultural value theory of Hofstede. Angket (questionnaire) used to refer to VSM (Value Survey Mudule) developed by Hofstede. Since the province of Bali relies on the tourism sector for its region's major income, the research is important because human resources are an important component of the service. This research resulted in several findings on the similarities and differences in the value of hotel employees ' culture in Seminyak and Ubud areas.

Abstract

Research on Community based tourism as a sustainable tourism development strategy in DTW "Ceking" Pekraman Tegallalang village is done with the aim to study Community Based Tourism (CBT) as a tourism development strategy In DTW Ceking village Pekraman Tegallalang and analyzed the development strategy of CBT in DTW Ceking village Pekraman Tegallalang so that it can be sustainable. Using a research approach with a qualitative and quantitative method (mix method), accompanied by a survey method that will help to get a thorough picture covering physical condition, state of tourism and social situation and Culture at DTW Ceking Village Pekraman Tegallalang. So it is reviewed based on the problem, then research is a description of tourism phenomenon and its relation to socio-cultural life as well as the environment, by taking the research site Yankni DTW Ceking village Pekraman Tegallalang in Kecamatan Tegallalang, Gianyar Regency, Bali Province, Tepatnyareside in the Village Tegallalang, Gianyar. obyekstrainiberbatasandirectly with the Pekramankedisandthe Part of the area Persawahancekingterracurangtepedesapekramankedisan. Data used is qualitative and quantitative data and will be obtained conclusions that are "grounded". The findings of the research with certainty that is the form of Community Based Tourism as a sustainable tourism development strategy in DTW Ceking village Pekraman Tegallalang, Gianyar.

Abstract

The study aimed at investigating the level of some affective factors which influenced the English for Management Learning Achievement; and uncovering how, psychologically, those factors were felt by the students. The study had been carried out in three steps; first, theoretical and empirical study on affective factors yielded in six factors; second, data collection on those factors through questionnaires, and third, focused group discussion (FGD). The study applied mixed methods of data collection and analysis. Quantitative method using t test was applied to determine the level of determination of the six affective factors upon above average and low average students, respectively. Qualitative method was applied through FGD and descriptive analysis. The results of the anĂ¡lisis show that the level of anxiety and learned helplessness of the above average students is lower than of the below average ones; while the level of self efficacy, locus of control, interest, dan integrativeness of the above average students is higher than of the below average ones. For the above average students, low level of anxiety and learned helplessness supports learning, and high level of self-efficacy, locus of control, interest, dan integrativeness is a bid modality for their success. The below average students, however, tend to be stucked by high level of anxiety and learned helplessness which hinders their learning.

Abstract

In the tourism area the vehicle population continues to increase, on the other hand the lack of public facilities that are safe and comfortable as a medium of transportation causes most tourists to prefer carrying private vehicles. Meanwhile tourist attractions in tourist areas are usually centered on a particular location. This will also result in high concentration of vehicles in the area. Then the availability of parking lots is needed. The problem is the need for land for other purposes is also increasing and the availability of vacant land is also limited. Resulting in several problems such as parking on the roadside which will then hamper vehicle circulation activities. The research objective is to identify parking system problems in the Kuta tourism area and create ideas in the direction of the development of parking infrastructure referring to the development of multi-storey parking buildings (Vertical) with the application of the parking system system with APS (Automatic Parking System) technology. This research is a research with a qualitative descriptive analysis approach which is done by data collection techniques through direct observation, document studies, and literature studies.

Abstract

Desa wisata memiliki beberapa atraksi wisata, salah satunya adalah Homestay. Homesaty  diminati wisatawan karena dapat mempelajari bahasa, budaya, dan karakteristik penduduk lokal. Salah satu faktor yang dapat memuaskan pelanggan industri pariwisata adalah pelayanan yang diberikan oleh pihak industri khususnya para karyawannya merupakan pihak yang berhubungan langsung dengan pelanggannya. Untuk dapat membuat karyawannya dapat mempertahankan dan memperbaiki kinerjanya maka dibutuhkan faktor-faktor keterampilan dan kompetensi sumber daya manusia yang diperoleh dari pendidikan dan pelatihan, sehingga mereka dapat terus bekerja dengan baik. Berdasarkan uraian di atas maka permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pemerintah dalam pengembangan desa wisata adalah pemenuhan kebutuhan dan pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia desa wisata.Lokasi penelitian adalah desa wisata Jasri yang berada di kabupaten Karangasem Bali. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan  metode kepustakaan dan metode lapangan dengan wawancara dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunkan adalah Deskriptif Kualitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukan kebutuhan sumber daya manusia di desa wisata Jasri untuk pengembangan wisata adalah sumber daya manusia yang terkait dengan atraksi wisata dan mensosialisasikan pentingnya kenyamanan, kebersihan, hygine sanitasi kepada seluruh masyarakat. Bentuk pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang sesuai dengan karakteristik masyarakat desa wisata Jasri dengan pengembangan secara informal. Pengembangan secara informal yaitu masyarakat atas keinginan dan usaha sendiri melatih dan mengembangkan dirinya dengan mempelajari buku-buku literatur yang ada

Abstract

Kayoman Pedawa Group, directly initiated by the community of Pedawa Village aims to reconstruct and revitalize the existence of tourism potential in the form of natural, social, customs and local wisdom. The establishment of this group originated from the concerns of the community and  the young figures Pedawa village will be the phenomenon of the growing nature and local wisdom with the rapid modernization. Therefore, the interest is examined from  the phenomenon is and the role of the group Kayoman Pedawa in revitalizing the potential tourism-based local wisdom of Pedawa village. The theory used as a problem surgeon is the social action theory and structural functionalism theory. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. The results of the research is a revitalizing cultural potential based on local wisdom by Kayoman Pedawa Group of some of them are; 1) rehabilitation of forests and agricultural cultures, 2) revitalization of ancient relics into tourism destinations of village history, 3) The reconstruction of local wisdom-based attractions, such as traditional houses, gangsing games, traditional gamelan reconstruction of Pedawa , revitalizing the manufacture and product of palm sugar Pedawa, 4) provide a mentoring of foreign students who study ethnography, and 5) socialization and publication of local wisdom of Pedawa village to the outside community, such as the interactive dialogue of Thunder Singaraja Radio broadcast, Through the making of documentary films in collaboration with Minikino Bali.

Abstract

Pasanggrahan Art and Cultural Village is a village-based agritourism combining natural tourism with cultural tourism, especially Sundanese culture. The agritourism, located in Ciporeat Hamlet, Pasanggrahan Village, is included in the Bandung City Culture and Tourism Office?s 2018-2023 Strategic Plan, meaning that this tourist destination is already in the local government's development plan. Therefore, this study aims to offer alternatives to the development of agritourism based on the visitor perceptions in order to offer a development concept to the related stakeholders. The data was collected through distributing questionnaires to 50 respondents and conducting interviews with the residents and those who understood the agritourism. The analysis results indicate that the visitors? bad perception clearly lies in the diversity of tourist attractions, souvenirs, places to eat, and roads within the destination. Therefore, this study focuses the alternative formulations or development efforts on the aspects of what to see, what to buy, what to do, what to arrive, dan what to stay.

Abstract

            The concept of the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) confirms that in running a business, companies do not only pay attention to profits, but also contribute to society (people), and play an active role in protecting the environment (planet). One implementation of the TBL concept is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Alila Seminyak is one of the hotels that have been implemented CSR. However, the community stated that there were deficiencies in the program. Even though the company stated there were no obstacles during the program implementation. The purpose of this study is to find out how was the implementation of TBL concept in the CSR program at Alila Seminyak and how the evaluation of the program. The data collection techniques used are documentation study, in-depth interviews, and observations. The data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of the study are Alila Seminyak has implemented the TBL concept in CSR programs but it has not been maximized in the concept of people. The people are not involved in the planning and evaluation of the program, and evaluation of the program has not been carried out optimally, because it does not involve the recipient community and there is no evaluation of the achievement of program objectives.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Millennial tourists regards traveling not just about enjoying nature and culture, or strolling around, instead millennials assume that traveling is when immersed in an interesting experience. The purpose of this study is to find out how the preferences of domestik millennial tourists visiting Selfie Tourist Attraction (STA) in Bali, as well as what tourist activities need to be developed. The approach in this research is qualitative, referring to McIntosh's Motivation theory and Leiper's Tourist Attraction Theory. The locus of research is in five STAs including: Twin Hill in Gianyar Regency, Big Garden Corner in Denpasar City, Tukad Badung in Denpasar City, Merta Sari Sanur Beach and Selfie Wanagiri Tourism in Buleleng Regency . Data will be collected through interview and the distribution of 50 questionnaires with accidental sampling. The results revealed that the majority of tourists' motivation to visit is driven by the desire to escape or so-called Fantasy Motivation by 50%, while physical motivation is by 26%, social by 20%, and culture merely by 4%. Furthermore, regarding its preference analysis, domestic millenial tourists are very supportive for the government's performance and enthusiastic for the success of the stakeholders in developing and advancing STA, as seen from the percentage of 94% of tourists choosing to visit by considering the success of the stakeholders in managing STA. In addition, there are a number of tourism activities that need to be developed to optimize the potential of STA, such as: holding cultural events on a regular basis, adding playgrounds for children, adding spots for selfies, and renovating selfie photo spots that are already inadequate. Tourists also argued the need to maintain cleanliness and the addition of public facilities.

Abstract

From the analysis, it is found that there were still many challenges experienced by local communities in exploiting job opportunities, such as the incompatibility between labor qualifications required by the tourism industry and the capacity of local communities. The lack of capacity of human resources resulted from the low quality of education, the lack of knowledge and skills in the tourism industry, especially the hospitality, and the attitude and behavior or work ethic of the local community itself. The success or failure of cooperative relationship between the company and its human resources is inseparable from the role of desa adat. The role of desa adat here is to provide job-related information required by the company to assist the prospective workforce to obtain a job. The tourism sector is expected to build motivation and increase work productivity for the community in order to encourage the growth of the economic sector.
