Abstract

Bahasa adalah suatu sistem symbol lisan yang arbitrer yang dipakai oleh anggota suatu masyarakat bahasa untuk berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi antar sesama, belandaskan pada budaya yang mereka miliki bersama.Bahasa dan psikologi mempunyai hubungan yang erat karena manusia memproses ,memperoleh, menggunakan dan mempersepsi ujaran bahasa sangat tergantung dengan kecerdasan karena tanpa memori manusia tidak mungkin dapat berbahasa dan lingkungan anak memperoleh bahasa.dan dalam memperoleh bahasa Dalam Ilmu jiwa ada faham yang bernama behaviorisme yang menekankan peran lingkungan dalam memperoleh pengetahuan termasuk pengetahuan bahasa.karena manusia dimanapun juga pasti akan dapat menguasai, atau lebih tepatnya memperoleh bahasa asalkan dia tumbuh dalam suatu masyarakat.

Abstract

The study was intended to explore the experiences of the teachers in teaching speaking to non-English department students using instructional scaffolding. The instructional scaffolding was perceived to enhance students? approximation to control spoken and written text. The data were gained from in-depth interviews with three teachers who teach non-English Department students who join in Kampung Inggris Rafflessia (KIR) Rejang Lebong Course. To address the goal, there were two research questions formulated in this study; 1) What do teachers think about teaching speaking using instructional scaffolding? and 2) How do teachers implement instructional scaffolding in speaking class? The 30-minute interview was conducted twice with open-ended questions. Then, the gathered data were analyzed qualitatively using phenomenological method. Teachers? instructional scaffolding provided many chances for the students to be active in the learning process. By using the scaffolding, the teachers perceived that the learning process becomes more effective. The study also concludes by offering suggestions for improving the teaching method and identifying avenues for further research.

Abstract

This study aims to illustrate the speaking skills of English teachers on the coastal school of Bengkulu City as well as the factors that influence the speaking skills. This research was a descriptive-qualitative research which was also a continuation of previous research on students' speaking skills in the coastal area. The subjects of this study were English teachers who attended school, namely English teachers at SMAN 6 Kota Bengkulu, SMAN I Kota Bengkulu and SMAN 7 Plus Kota Bengkulu, SMPN 7 Kota Bengkulu, SMPN 1 Kota Bengkulu, SMPIT Iqra 'Kota Bengkulu, SMPN 15 Kota Bengkulu. Data that has been obtained in the form of audio-visual recordings when the teacher spoke English, as well as an interview recording related to the speaking skills of the English teacher. The data obtained were analyzed, interpreted and concluded as findings by using the Interactive Model technique namely reduction, display, drawing a conclusion. The results of this study indicated that the English teachers? speaking skills at the Bengkulu City coastal school was at a moderate level. Fluency in speaking was the main problem faced by these teachers. In addition, grammar also became an obstacle for them. While the identified factors that couldinfluence the English teacher's speaking skills were the internal factors of English teachers themselves who often used Indonesian language when teaching rather than English itself with the reason that children would easily understand the message or subject matter when compared to English. In addition, curriculum change as an external factor was also a reason for English teachers not to speak English much in class with the latest curriculum consideration, namely the 2013 Curriculum requires active students, not teachers

Abstract

This study was carried out to improve the second year students? writing ability through Picture Media at MTs N 01 of Bengkulu in academi year 2015/2016. The subjects of this study were consisted of 42 students. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The Clasroom Action Research design applied in this study was a collaborative classroom action research. It mean that the researcher collaborated with the English teacher of MTs N 01 of Bengkulu as an observer and collaborator. The study was carried out in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of three meetings. The data were gathered in this study through field notes, and writing test. The result of the study showed that there was improvement of students? writing ability. Most of the students gradually gained good scores at the end of each cycle. The score of Minimum Mastery Criterion- Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) of English subject was 70 (seventy). In cycle 1, the result of the students? score was poor. In cycle 2, the result of the students score has some progresses, and in the cycle 3 the result of the students score has improve effectively than action in cycle before were the mean score of students was in 75 (Good). In addition, there was a positive response from the English Teacher about implementing the action. In conclusion, Picture Media could solve the students? problems and improve their writing ability.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menjelaskan tentang pentingnya makna bermain bagi anak usia dini. Permainan anak yang berkualitas akan mengoptimalkan rangsangan dan stimulus yang akan diterima oleh anak usia dini. Sehingga dapat dipahami bahwa dengan bermain yang berkualitas dan diiringi musik yang sesuai, dapat meningkatkan daya imajinasi anak. Dan, meningkatnya daya imajinasi ini akan berpengaruh besar terhadap pembentuk seluruh kecerdasan anak.

Abstract

Abstrak: Manusia pada umumnya tidak merasakan bahwa menggunakan bahasa merupakan suatu keterampilan yang luar biasa rumitnya. Pemakaian bahasa terasa lumrah karena memang tanpa diajari oleh siapa pun seorang bayi akan tumbuh bersamaan dengan pertumbuhan bahasa. Dari umur satu sampai sampai dengan satu setengah tahun seorang bayi mulai mengeluarkan bentuk-bentuk bahasa yang telah dapat kita identifikasi sebagai kata. Ujaran satu kata ini tumbuh menjadi ujaran dua kata dan akhirnya menjadi kalimat yang komplek menjelang umur empat atau lima tahun. Dari hal tersebut dapat dipahami bahwa Pemerolehan dan perkembangan bahasa manusia pada masa kanak-kanak sangat berkaitan erat dengan perkembangan neuro biologi dan lingkungannya. Karena dalam proses pemerolehan bahasa manusia dapat mempersepsi dan kemudian memahami ujaran orang lain sehingga ia dapat memproduksi ujaran setelah mengetahui aturan-aturan yang harus diikuti.

Abstract

This study aims to know how far the application of Mind Mapping technique is capable to improve   students understanding on theoretical course such as English Morphology.The  method of the research is experiment with queasy experiment applying nonequivalent control group design . Population of this research are odd semester students (3rd semester) who take lecture on English Morphology course. There are two classes? namely experimental class which is treated with mind mapping technique and control class which is taught conventionally. After applying mind mapping technique in experimental class, the result is significantly different. The experiment class achievement from the test is better than the result of the test in the control class. Moreover based on the observation, the students from the class treated with mind mapping technique proved to be more motivated and enthusiastic in understanding the material. Student?s center is also implemented in experimented class.
