Abstract

The educational world in Indonesia experiences a phenomenon in the face of the era of industrial revolution 4.0, this can have a significant impact on the world of education. Many scientists, experts, organizations, educational institutions, universities make strategies in facing the era of industrial revolution 4.0. One of them conducted by the Federation of Information and Communication Technology Teachers) held a workshop in Jakarta, 6-7 October 2018 themed "Dynamics of ICT / Informatics Learning Policies in the Age of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Increased Competence of ICT/Informatics Teachers on 21st Century Learning". This study aims to determine the ICT-based learning strategies applied at Public Senior Scondary School 1 Sungai Rotan in the face of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. Sources of data obtained by researchers from teachers as the object of research at Public Senior Scondary School 1 Sungai Rotan and obtained from the latest information in the world of education related to the era of industrial revolution 4.0. The data of this study were collected using the method of documentation and direct interviews with subject teachers. The findings of the data obtained were then analyzed by researchers that at Public Senior Scondary School 1 Sungai Rotan had a reliable strategy in facing the era of industrial revolution 4.0 because it was proven in every learning that all teachers had applied ICT-based learning, the use of laptops (computers) and the internet was the wrong one that should not be ignored which is integrated in the curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to describe the teachers? stage of concern for the evaluation of primary school innovation and factors affecting teachers? stage of concern. The approach used in this study was a descriptive study. Data related to factors affecting teachers' stage of concern to the evaluation of primary school curriculum innovation were collected in the form of forum discussion and study of related literature. While data on teacher's stage of concern itself to the evaluation system of primary school curriculum innovation were collected, classified, processed and analyzed by using the norms of the group in the calculation of percentile. The findings of this study were 10 % in a stage of awareness, 14 % in the stage of information; 2 % in the stage of personnel;12 % in the stage of management; 20 % in the stage of consequence;12 % in the stage of collaboration and 20 % in the stage of refocusing. Teachers? stage of concern to the evaluation of primary school curriculum innovation was low. It was caused by (a) the lack of understanding of primary school teachers on information received, (b) lack of examples and evidence of the benefits of accepted curriculum innovation in school practices, (c) lack of training by trainers in applying new curriculum, (d) so complex in evaluating and (e) the curriculum is continually changing. (f) teacher involvement in implementing program and the training needs (g) adequate time to learn, practice, master and apply what needs to be learned about an curriculum innovation (h) teachers? commitment to implement the curriculum innovation; (i); principal knowledge of educational change; (j) principals role in carrying out programs; (k) principals' moral support and active participation; (l) collaborative planning by teachers and administrators.

Abstract

This research aimed at describing the competencies of the Principal in State Secondary school in Banyuasin Regency, it can be mapped the right program given to optimize it. This study was mixed method. The results obtained the competencies of principals in State Secondary schools Banyuasin Regency have moderate managerial competency; entrepreneurship competencies are mostly included in the medium criteria; Supervision competencies in the medium category. Overall, most of the principals have good competency.

Abstract

In this qualitative paper, we investigated in-depth about the strategy of the principal in preparing the students ready for the industrial revolution 4.0. The objects of research were State Vocational School 2 Palembang, State Vocational School 6 Palembang, Vocational School 2 Muara Enim, State Vocational School 1 Gelumbang, and Vocational School YTK Kimia Palembang. The data were carried out by interview, observation, and documentation. We found that some strategies used by 5 (five) Vocational Schools in South Sumatra in aligning education with the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era were improving the quality of facilities and infrastructure based on industrial needs (link and match). They upgraded teachers' competence appropriate with the era of industrial revolution 4.0 and then created competent and ready graduates in harmony with the program Making Indonesia 4.0 launched by the Ministry of Industry.

Abstract

The influence of the development of information and communication technology encourages innovation in learning activities. This study aims to describe the use of ICT as a medium and source of learning in schools. The research was conducted in 3 locations, namely Public Elementary School 2 Gelumbang and Public Elementary School 29 Gelumbang, Gelumbang District, and Senior Scondary School 1 Sungai Rotan, Sungai Rotan District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach, with observation techniques, and interviews. The results of the study concluded: (1) the teacher invites students to use ICT facilities in schools in learning activities; (2) the use of ICT-based resources and learning media in schools, among others, using computers, laptops, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), smartphones, internet networks, and Microsoft office applications; (3) to improve teacher competence in utilizing ICT, teachers need to continue to familiarize themselves. Besides that, there should be a solution to the barriers to the use of ICTs, including conducting training through teacher working group activities (TWG), in order to support the improvement of teachers' abilities and knowledge in the ICT field.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the types of student delinquency and preventive, repressive and curative actions in dealing with delinquency in SD Negeri 6 Pulau Rimau, Banyuasin. The data source of this study from 6 people, principal, 3 teachers and 2 student organizations. The method used descriptive qualitative and applied observation, documentation and interviews. The results showed that 1) the teacher's strategy in solving students' misbehavior is through struggles and countermeasures such as making school rules and penalties for students who do misbehavior; 2) the preventive action taken by the teacher is to always advise and remind the students of delinquency in school in advance. After that the teacher tries to motivate students not to do mischief again; 3) repressive actions taken by the teacher are by conducting guidance and direction as well as punishment with the aim of being able to discourage students; 4) curative action taken by both the teacher and the school as a healing attempt is to provide severe penalties to cooperate with the guardian's parents by calling to come to schoo; 5) the forms of juvenile delinquency in SD Negeri 6 Pulau Rimau were saying rude and dirty sentences, scribbling on school walls with inappropriate writing, not doing assignments, not keeping the school clean, conflicting with friends and damaging facilities school.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the principal's strategy to manage work stress conflicts in female teachers as the impact of implementing Full Day School. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with the type of phenomenological research. The research sites were SMAN 1 Talang Kelapa and SMAN 1 Betung Banyuasin Regency. The data in this study were in the form of observations, documentation, and interviews. Checking the validity of the data with source triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis using the Spradley model The results in this study indicate that the principal conducts three strategies to manage work stress conflicts in female teachers as the impact of implementing Full Day School so that it does not interfere with teacher performance, student comfort, and does not hinder the achievement of school goals. The strategies adopted by the principal are 1) identifying the forms of work stress for female teachers, 2) identifying conflicts that arise as the effects of work stress for female teachers, and 3) resolving conflicts through personal approaches, official services, and religious approaches.

Abstract

This study investigated whether the effect correlation exists between the Transformational Leadership, Interpersonal Communication, Organizational Conflict and Organizational Effectiveness in dayah in Aceh. Data were collected by questionnaires by 90 teachers in 3 pesantren, analysis using Path Analysis. The study found that the transformational leadership was most frequently employed, followed by the interpersonal communication, and then organizational conflict. The study found a positive effect transformational leadership, interpersonal communication and organizational conflict towards organizational effectiveness. Finally, organizational effectiveness differed according to leadership and communication factors. Suggestions from this research are there is a need to develop the organizational effectiveness by attitude, motivation and technology in utilizing existing resources in the pesantren, dayah program and unit program. Findings of this study also open a new area of research on dayah principalship, performance, and effectiveness in the Aceh Government.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify student knowledge on local games as a basis to develop science elementary school science textbook containing life skills and local games. Descriptive method with questionnaire as an instrument was used to conduct the study on 2160 elementary school students in Bengkulu Province. The results of the study showed that students? knowledge related to local games was generally categorized as fair. Student knowledge related to knowledge on traditional games was quite various. Based on the study, the local games to be included in the development of elementary school science textbook were reviewed again. Local games known by most students are used as a basis to begin each chapter or subchapter of the textbook, whereas learning sources known by more than 80% students were implemented as chapter themes.

Abstract

This research aimed at describing school's strategy in increasing the professionalism of Primary School teachers through Digital Literacy. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 6 Pulau Rimau, Banyuasin. The method was descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study approved the Principal's strategy and the role of the teacher to improve teacher?s professionalism through digital literacy run effectively. Some of the strategies used by principals include completing facilities and targets that can support digital literacy, strengthening literacy through e-Learning, school strategies by sending teachers and education personnel to get seminars, training, or technical assistance and helping Teacher Working Groups or Groups Principal's Work. Teacher strategies in increasing professionalism by implementing four teacher competencies, pedagogical, personal, social, and profesional competence through digital literacy.
