Abstract

The needs of society in the field of education which is always developing every year, especially in the Arabic language curriculum, encourages researchers to do research on implementation of the Arabic language curriculum at Jabal Auliya' Locality, Khartoum, Sudan. The study aimed to know into what extent the curriculum was implemented for teaching Arabic language at Jabal Auliya' Locality, Khartoum State.  This research was an analytical descriptive research involving 23 Arabic language teachers at Jabal Auliya'. Questionnaires were used to collect the data which were then classified and analyzed using statistics. The researcher concluded that the implementation of the Arabic language curriculum in Jabal Auliya' run well, but not yet maximal. The objectives contained in Arabic books are clear, the content and evaluation question contained in the book are in accordance with students' abilities, the teacher uses a variety of methods in teaching Arabic, but does not use a variety of instructional media, which causes learning not to run optimally, because the smooth application of learning models depends not only on the method used, but also on the learning media used.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ekperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif-kualitatif dengan populasi kelas VIII jenjang SMP di Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Pleret Bantul Yogyakarta Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini menggabungkan antara pembelajaran dan media untuk meningkatkan daya serap belajar atau daya ingat dalam memahami materi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata awal siswa 49,67 pada saat pretest meningkat menjadi rata-rata 63,25 pada saat posttest setelah mendapatkan treatment dengan pembelajaran menggunakan media kartu. Mendapatkan perlakuan dengan media kartu menunjukan adanya peningkatan dalam memahami materi bahasa arab khususnya Ilmu Nahwu di kelas VIII jenjang SMP di Muhammadiyah Boarding School  (MBS) Pleret sehingga peningkatan daya serap belajar siswa dapat dilihat dengan prestasi nilai yang dicapai.

Abstract

The application of item response theory in constructing Arabic Language test equipment took place at the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Language Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This theory will be applied in the selection of final exam questions for PBA students taking Al-Qawaid An-Nahwiyyah courses. The items used in this test were dichotomous, with 250 items, then filtered and only a few questions, looking at the level of ability of the students in the specified class. IRT was to define the nature or ability of the underlying scale in which growth would be measured. The item model used in this study was the dichotomous item model. The results of the simulation of the item response theory in the constructing Arabic Language test equipment from the question bank provided with 250 items, obtained four items that were following the expected target.

Abstract

This paper discusses the problem of kalâm, kalimah, tarkîb, and jumlah according to Arabic grammar, beginning with the meaning of jumlah, the difference of opinion of the scientists and Arabic grammarians, and how the correlation between kalâm  and jumlah. In addition, this paper also contains parts of jumlah in Arabic and describes how the previous scientists’ view on the arrangement in the Arabic grammar rules are accompanied by syâhid in the form of Qur'anic verses.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentuk penyimpangan prinsip kerja sama dan prinsip kesantunan pada cerita pendek Jannah al-Athfâl karya Naguib Mahfouz. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Hasil analisis penelitian menunjukkan adanya penyimpangan prinsip kerja sama dan prinsip kesantunan pada cerita pendek Jannah al-Athfâl karya Naguib Mahfouz. Penyimpangan prinsip kerja sama sebanyak 10 tuturan, terdiri dari 4 maksim yaitu 1 maksim kuantitas, 1 maksim kualitas, 4 maksim relevansi, dan 4 maksim pelaksanaan. Sedangkan penyimpangan prinsip kesantunan ditemukan sebanyak 14 tuturan, yang terdiri dari 3 maksim yaitu 2 maksim kebijaksanaan, 4 maksim kemurahan, dan 8 maksim kecocokan. Adapun maksim kerendahan hati, maksim penerimaan, dan maksim kesimpatian tidak ditemukan penyimpangan-penyimpangan pada data.

Abstract

Studying charf jarr was not just focused on understanding its function which was as a tool to stop the noun after it. But more than that, its existence after verb gave new meaning to the verb. Therefore, one verb did not only have one meaning, but it had many different meanings. There were several connection patterns between verb and charf jarr that came after it, among them were tanâwub churûf, tarâduf, tadhâd, ta'diyah, and verb connections with more than one charf jarr. From some of these connections could generate new meanings for the verb. Given this diversity of meaning, it would enrich our Arabic vocabulary. Therefore, learning charf jarr connected to previous verb would make it easier for us to increase the mastery of Arabic vocabulary.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses kegiatan UKM Bahasa Arab  Al – Mujaddid dan sejauhmana efektivitas kegiatan UKM Bahasa Arab  ini dalam peningkatan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Arab pada anggota UKM Jurusan PBA UMY.Penelitian yang digunakan oleh penulis dalam menyusun skripsi ini adalah penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan analisa data kualitatif. Adapun metode yang digunakan penulis dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, teknik observasi yang digunakan adalah observasi langsung dimana penulis mengadakan pengamatan secara langsung terhadap segala subyek yang diteliti, dan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa dokumentasi, tes lisan, dan interview bebas terpimpin.Dari hasil penelitian yang penulis lakukan bahwa proses kegiatan UKM Bahasa Arab Al-Mujaddid di UMY dalam peningkatan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Arab Mahasiswa PBA UMY  dapat dikatakan efektif, Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan hasil tes lisan yang telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 Februari 2019 yang diikuti oleh semua mahasiswa PBA UMY yang merupakan anggota UKM Al-Mujaddid , Dari 23 Mahasiswa sebagian besar mendapatkan nilai bagus, dengan rincian sebagai berikut, yaitu 15 mahasiswa mendapatkan nilai diatas 65 dan  8 santri mendapatkan nilai dibawah 65.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the communicative method in improving the ability of mahârah al-kalâm, barriers to its implementation, and how to overcome communication barriers to the students at SDI Surya Buana Malang class VA for one semester in the 2018/2019 academic year. This research employed qualitative methods by taking field data or case study research. The data was collected by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The result of the research showed that there was no improvement in students' mahârah al-kalâm through the application of the communicative method. Students could only use short sentences in Arabic that had been memorized. The obstacle during the implementation of the communicative method was that the students were not fluent in reading iqra’ which resulted in the hardship of reading Arabic. Lack of Arabic lessons in schools caused inadequate Arabic learning process and students' lack of memorization of mufradât caused some difficulties in learning sessions. An effort to overcome these obstacles was that the teacher must provide extra sessions for students who could not read iqra’ fluently. Schools must also give extra sessions for Arabic lessons, and the teacher instructed all students to memorize vocabulary in accordance to the theme of the lesson.

Abstract

Intelligence and learners’ language development is inseparable from the role of language education, both from elementary to advanced level, from formal to informal education. Learning design is closely related to daily activities of learners in listening, communicating, writing and also reading. The most important thing in the concept of language learning is how to teach the language through direct experience that stresses in the process of habituation and the process of ongoing lesson.Keywords: The role of language education, learning design, experiential learning

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, yang dirancang dengan metode pre-eksperimental designs (non designs). Bentuk desain penelitian ini yaitu one-group pretest-postest design, dalam desain ini terdapat satu kelompok atau kelas yang dipilih tidak secara random, kemudian diberi pretest untuk mengetahui keadaan awal kemudian diberi posttest untuk mengetahui keadaan setelahnya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah eksperimentasi media permainan bingo dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata dari pretest ke posttest meningkat hingga 60,56 poin. Hasil perhitungan rumus paired sample t-test dengan menggunakan tingkat kepercayaan 95% diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dengan demikian hipotesis yang diterima dalam penelitian ini adalah hipotesis kerja (Ha) dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa “Media permainan bingo dapat meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata bahasa Arab”.
