This type of research is an analytic survey with cross sectional study design. The population in this study were 38 people with samples taken using the Total Sampling technique, the test used was a multiple linear regression test. T test results show there is a relationship between workload (p = 0.029 <α = 0.05), interpersonal relationship (p = 0.012 <α = 0.05) and work safety (p = 0,000 <α = 0.05) with stress nurse work. There was no relationship between the level of patient dependence (p = 0.281> α = 0.05) with nurses work stress. The results of the F test showed that together with the independent variables related to work stress nurses (p = 0,000 <α = 0.05) with a coefficient of determination of 62.5%. It is recommended for the hospital to conduct training for nurses on how to handle mental patients.

Abstract

Diarrhea problems due to contamination with Escherichia coli bacteria in drinking water depots have become known in Kupang City. This is supported by Telan of the 2015 study in the work area of the Oepoi Community Health Center in the city of Kupang, in which it is found that 20% of the DAMIU are contaminated with E. coli bacteria. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of the DAMIU operator, the hygiene of the DAMIU devices, the personal hygiene and the description of the bacteriological content in DAMIU in the village of Lasiana in 2019 and also the bacteriological content of drinking water in DAMIU. This research is done at DAMIU in Lasiana Village. The time of the study was carried out from January to July 2019. The population in this study was the total DAMIU in the Lasiana district, which was 21 DAMIU. This study uses a Purposive Sampling technique so that the sample of this study is 10 DAMIU families located in the Lasiana district. The results of this study show that: The total bacteriological content of E. coli that does not meet the requirements is 60% DAMIU. For the renovation of DAMIU devices that do not meet 80% of the requirement. The number of DAMIU operators with a good level of knowledge is 90%. This does not mean good criteria for DAMIU body care. The conclusion is that DAMIU in Lasiana still does not meet the requirements of both bacteriological requirements as well as device hygiene and personal hygiene of the operator. Suggestions for the health office and DAMIU owners to comply with DAMIU hygiene standards more carefully and decisively.

Abstract

Oesapa Health Center is a health center that has the highest number of dengue cases in Kupang City in 2019 and spread throughout the Puskesmas working area. Regional-based disease management analysis techniques using spatial analysis can be used to facilitate the determination of the DHF problem solving intervention program. Spatial analysis is used to determine the pattern of disease spread and potential areas of dengue transmission based on area. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of dengue delivery, the spread of dengue incidence based on population density, the House Index and Container Index and the buffer. This type of research is a descriptive survey with a case study design. The sampling technique used total sampling with 98 people. The results of spatial analysis using Quantum GIS show the distribution pattern of dengue incidence with Clustered pattern with NNI value of 0,60 <1, the entire work area of Oesapa Health Center is included in the category of high population density, House Index and Container Index with the highest incidence of DHF in Oesapa and Lasiana Subdistrict and buffer analysis shows the tendency of dengue disease transmission in most cases to occur within a 100 meter radius, so the Oesapa Community Health Center work area is a high risk area for dengue transmission. Mosquito Nest Eradication Activities can be carried out by the community to prevent the spread of dengue disease.

Abstract

Family support to people with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) plays an important role in improvement of PLWHA to take antiretroviral drugs (ARV) obediently. Commonly, PLWHA is an introvert person mainly about his/her health condition, so if the family have less knowledge and support during the treatment process, she/he would not be obedient to take ARV drugs and the therapeutic effect could not work optimally. This study aimed to determine the relationship between family support with compliance taking ARV drugs on PLWHA in-Clinic VCT Sobat RSUD Dr. W. Z. Johannes Kupang. The type of this research was analytical survey with a crosssectional study design. The number of respondents were 44 people which obtained by using accidental sampling technique. The data was collacted by using questionnaire and was analysed by using Chi-square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between support for assessment (p = 0,003), instrumental support (p = 0,001), emotional support (p = 0,028), and no relation of informational support (p = 0,336) with compliance taking ARV drugs on PLWHA. Thus, it is expected that family should continue to support the PLWHA to provide accurate information about ARV treatment and to remind PLWHA to take ARV drugs regularly.

Abstract

This article intends to examine the collaboration amongst actors in solving public issues, specifically in the topic of waste management in the Kupang city. Methodologically, the issue was disclosed using qualitative methods based on the descriptive survey, structured interviews, and in-depth interviews. Kupang City grow rapidly both in the aspect of social and economy, as a consequence, load of trash is inevitable along with the development. Otherwise, very little attention was paid to the waste management and people tended to recognise it as insignificant issue, constructed as interpersonal issues, and typically as a private matter. This article aims to demonstrate Kupang residents’ perception towards trash as a public matter. On that point, people awareness toward public issues in this article, which is named as “citizenship” become vital. Without this, problem including waste issue will be receiving limited response. Once it comes to its turn, collective action as a prerequisite for constructive problem solving in public relations would be weakened. It appears that the issue is about the amount of waste in the areas that are fully accessible to the public, for example; markets and housing areas. Waste is poorly managed in these two areas. On the other hand, formal institutional collaboration between government in the local government, the provincial government, and the neighbour district in Kupang district’s government also It appeared to have been poorly managed. This study suggests the need for a non-hierarchical forum that is concerned with decision-making process (not merely consultative) which facilitates the emergence of community control to alleviate "troublesome" environmental issues in surrounding areas in creative ways.
