Abstract

This research has been done in Household Business ?X?, which is located  in  Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi. This research aims to: 1). Analyze the problems that happened in agrosystems case; 2). Analyze various solutions for problems in business development; 3). Formulate actions in achieving the objectives; 4). Implement selected actions. The whole data and information obtained in this research using the APPAS (Analysis of Agrosystem Design and Development) method and AHP (Analysis of Hierarchy Process). APPAS method is one of the learning methods that lead to overcome the problem in relation of the agrosystem case that used as the object of research and also directs to analyze the problem solving and AHP (Analysis Hierarchy Process) that is used to evaluate the alternative actions that must be done for the sake of development of agrosystem case. The result of the analysis shows that Household Business of ?X? has the main problem that is Limited Marketing Area. The main problem happened due to the lack of promotion media, the manpower in the marketing department is unavailable, inadequate transportation, and limited equipment units. This main problem is the cause of low incomes, low demand, and low sales. To solve this problem, we have to set the main target that is increasing the revenue. The main target will be achieved if the media promotion increases, availability of manpower, transportation, and equipment units. Abstract

The purpose of this research it is analyzing the role of extension performance and the effectiveness of the agricultural extension on corn intensification program. The object of this research is extension agricultural who conducted the program intensification of corn. Research undertaken in Gorontalo Utara Regency of November 2018 until January 2019. Research methodology is descriptive quantitative analysis by the use of research semantic differential. The results of the study showed that the role of the performance of agricultural extension on corn intensification program was instrumental good with an average interval 44,77 that acts as motivator, facilitators, educator, and the communicators in the implementation of the corn intensification program. While the implementation of agricultural extension services on the program intensification corn is very effective with rata-rata scales intervals 23,95 adapted to the intensification of phases of the program from provision of corn seed until after the harvest.

Abstract

AbstractAren (Arenga pinnata Merr) is a type of palm that has a fairly high economic value, is spreading widely in Indonesia. All parts of the sugar plant ranging from leaves to roots can be utilized. The main result is the sap of the sugar plant, sugar palm juice contains between 10-15%. Because the sugar content of the sugar palm can be processed into alcohol, palm sugar, palm syrup, palm vinegar and ethanol. Based on the analysis results obtained, sugar palm farmers monthly fee of Rp. 2,196,815, - and Rp 26 361 780, - per year. Average monthly revenues of Rp 4.1236 million, - and Rp 49.483.200, - per year. Palm farmers' income of Rp 1,926,785, - and Rp 23.121.420, - per year. Abstract

Agricultural insurance is an agreement between the farmer and the insurance company to commit to undertake the risks in farming. This study aims to describe the implementation of agricultural insurance programs, to describe the characteristics of farmers involved in the agricultural insurance program,   to know the response of farmers to the program, and to look for the factors that influence the response of farmers to the program. The study is undertake  in the sub-district (Kecamatan) of Matakali, Polewali Mandar district, West Sulawesi Province. There were 35 farmers involved in the program who werw selected purposefully as respondents of this study. The first and second objective of the study were analyzed descriptively, while the third objective was analyzed using a weighted average calculation with a Likert scale,  and the fourth objective was analyzed by using the chi-square test. The results of the study show that 1) the implementation of the program has been successful but socialization is still lacking and the resolution of applications is difficult, 2) the characteristics of farmers are age, education , income and land area, 3) the cognitive response of consenting farmers, the reaction 4) there is a relationship between age and cognitive response, age with affective response, and education with conative answers

Abstract

 Indonesian society today does not show a great interest in the agricultural sector. Even though, there is one regency in West Java which have a highest population working in agricultural sector, that is Cianjur Regency. Agrofarm Cianjur is one of P4S (Pusat Pelatihan Pertanian dan Pedesaan Swadaya) in Cianjur Regency which do training cultivation and marketing of horticultural commodity, then there are farmers group which called Agro Segar. With the formation of Agrofarm Cianjur as a unity with different focus and function, it is important to look at the business model of Agrofarm Cianjur so it can be used as an inspiration for agricultural actors. This research uses qualitative research design with case study technique. The analytical tool used is value network mapping with Holo Mapping analysis and Business Model Canvas used to describe the applied business model. The description of business model is obtained through business design process with storytelling technique, visual thinking, and prototyping. Based on the results of research, business model of Agrofarm Cianjur is quite advanced and can be used as an inspiration for agricultural actors. Agrofarm Cianjur needs to add partners and resources, and update the administrative accounting which is still manual. Keywords: Canvas Business Model; Farmers Group; P4S; Value Network Mapping.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Farmer organizations play an important role in the development of the agricultural sector in Indonesia to become one of the media solving problems of agriculture. The empowerment of farmers and small businesses in rural areas by the government almost always uses a group approach. One of the fundamental weaknesses is the failure of group development because it is not done through a mature social process. This study aims to: 1) Describe the performance of the gapoktan function and 2) analyze the effectiveness of the organization's performance according to the gapoktan realization function (PERMENTAN 67/ SM 050/12/2016). This study uses qualitative and quantitative methods at the Gapoktan Pottanae study site, Tajong Village, Tellu Siattinge District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi. The results concluded that: 1) The implementation of Gapoktan Pottanae's function did not work well. So far, the new gapoktan can perform most functions as a unit of infrastructure provider of agricultural production, have not been able to perform the function of agricultural units, processing units, units marketing, as well as the micro-finance or savings and loan unit. 2) The level of performance efficiency Gapoktan Pottanae based on the member's response is only 17.20%. It can be concluded that the implementation of rural performance Pottanae Gapoktan Tajong ineffective. This Gapoktan can not meet the needs of the members of the two needs of agricultural machinery and agricultural capital members, guarantee the quantity, quality and continuity of results, but can add value to the products of the treatment of the limbs, it n there is no guarantee on the market, and it will be necessary to create an independent agriculture for the member of the farmers. Keywords: Effectiveness; Performance; Group of Combined Farmers. ABSTRAKOrganisasi petani memegang peranan penting dalam pembangunan sektor pertanian di Indonesia untuk menjadi salah satu media penyelesaian permasalahan-permasalahan pertanian. Pemberdayaan petani dan usaha kecil di pedesaan oleh pemerintah hampir selalu menggunakan pendekatan kelompok. Salah satu kelemahan yang mendasar adalah kegagalan pengembangan kelompok karena tidak dilakukan melalui proses sosial yang matang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan fungsi gapoktan dan 2) Menganalisis efektivitas kinerja organisasi gapoktan berdasarkan pencapaian fungsi gapoktan (PERMENTAN No.67/SM 050/12/2016). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan lokasi penelitian Gapoktan Pottanae, Desa Tajong, Kecamatan Tellu Siattinge, Kabupaten Bone, Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: 1) Pelaksanaan fungsi Gapoktan Pottanae belum berjalan dengan baik. Sejauh ini gapoktan baru bisa menjalankan sebagian fungsinya sebagai unit penyedia sarana prasarana produksi pertanian, belum dapat menjalankan fungsi sebagai unit usahatani, unit pengolahan, unit pemasaran, maupun sebagai unit keuangan mikro atau simpan pinjam. 2) Tingkat efektivitas kinerja Gapoktan Pottanae berdasarkan respon anggota hanya sebesar 17,20%. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan kinerja Gapoktan Pottanae Desa Tajong tidak efektif. Gapoktan ini belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan anggota baik kebutuhan alat mesin pertanian dan permodalan usahatani anggota, jaminan kuantitas, kualitas dan kontinuitas hasil, belum dapat menambah nilai produk dari hasil pengolahan anggota, tidak ada jaminan pasar dan bahkan belum dapat menciptakan usahatani mandiri bagi petani anggota. Kata Kunci: Efektivitas; Kinerja; Gabungan Kelompok Tani.

Abstract

AbstractThe research was conducted in the Village of Laba, District of Masamba, Regency of North Luwu, South Sulawesi in order to determine: 1) The role of sago at the household level to the food diversification; and 2) The level of nutritional adequacy of household. The population of household as much as 533 heads of households and  sample as much as 30 households. Determination of the samples was done by simple random sampling method. Sago role analysis in terms of the social aspect is described qualitativey, and to determine the level of nutritional adequacy used food consumption analysis by using Software Nutri Survey.The result showed that 1. The role of sago in terms of the social aspect, although it is still regarded as a traditional food but always served with a variety of various processed sago (kapurung, dange, bagea, sagu lempeng, ongol-ongol, jepa, sinoli, cendol) at both the household and when there are small and big party (celebration, circumcision, aqiqah, weddings). 2. The level of nutritional adequacy of respondents looks at the category level is less. This is because each of the households are different in consumption patterns. Each member of the family in a household there who do not eat processed (sago) with a combination of side dishes the amount that should be.Keywords: the role of sago; diversification  of  food; supporting nutrition.

Abstract

AbstractCompetition between companies is increasingly stringent in providing high levels of satisfaction to consumers, demanding that business people identify problems related to customer loyalty. Customer loyalty is the willingness of the company's customers to use products or services in a long period of time and cause purchases on the same brand. If the loyal attitude of the customer occurs longer, then the profit obtained by the company from the customer will be more and more. The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of the quality of beans on the loyalty of CV. AS. The respondents of this study were A.S. brand beans bean customers. The number of respondents is as many as 50 farmers located in Karangploso District, Malang Regency. The type of data used is primary data. Data analysis method used is path analysis. The results of this study indicate that the quality of AS bean seeds has an effect on customer loyalty with a loading factor of 0.442. In product quality variables from the 8 indicators that have the highest loading factor, the seeds are not susceptible to disease.AbstrakPersaingan antar perusahaan semakin ketat dalam memberikan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi kepada konsumen, menuntut agar pelaku bisnis mengidentifikasi masalah yang berkaitan dengan loyalitas pelanggan. Loyalitas pelanggan adalah kemauan pelanggan perusahaan untuk menggunakan produk atau layanan dalam jangka waktu yang lama dan menyebabkan pembelian pada merek yang sama. Jika sikap loyal pelanggan terjadi lebih lama, maka laba yang diperoleh perusahaan dari pelanggan akan semakin banyak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh kualitas biji terhadap loyalitas CV. SEBAGAI. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah A.S. kacang merek pelanggan. Jumlah responden adalah sebanyak 50 petani yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Karangploso, Kabupaten Malang. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas biji AS berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas pelanggan dengan faktor pemuatan 0,442. Dalam variabel kualitas produk dari 8 indikator yang memiliki faktor pemuatan tertinggi, benih tidak rentan terhadap penyakit.Keywords:   Bean Seed, Path Analysis Influence

Abstract

Food needs will continue to increase due to year by year, Indonesia's population continues to increase, while the amount of food production cannot compensate for the increase in population. To guarantee national food security, the Indonesian government continues to strive to procure sufficient amounts of rice, including the use of high-yielding seeds, balanced and efficient use of fertilizers, control of pests and diseases, etc. These efforts are only focused on achieving targeted rice production but have not paid attention to the level of income obtained by farmers when cultivating rice compared to cultivating other agricultural commodities. The research was aimed to: (1) determine the income level of a rice farmer, especially in Sidrap District, which is a rice barn area in South Sulawesi Province; and (2) to determine the feasibility of rice farming in the area. One indicator of the feasibility of rice farming can be known based on the value of R / C ratio as well as Break Even Point (BEP) production and Break Even Point (BEP) prices. This study found that the level of income obtained by rice farmers in Pitu Riawa Subdistrict, Sidrap District was Rp. 13,624,672 / ha and was feasible to be cultivated with R / C ratio> 4.24; BEP production of 358 kg; BEP price of IDR 1,152 / kg.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine: 1) the role of cocoa doctor in adoption production package; 2) cocoa farmer's response to the presence of cocoa doctor;  3) the level of adoption of production increasing package (called 3PP) of cocoa farmers. This research was conducted in Maliwowo Village, Eastern Luwu, South Sulawesi. Samples were 36 people, by simple random sampling method. The analysis employed scoring analysis.  The results shows that: 1) the role of cocoa doctor  in adoption 3PP in terms of information delivery, absorption ability of information, group planning, cooperation and group institutionalized is the middle category of 53.78%; 2) farmers have agreed response to the presence of cocoa doctor; and 3) farmers adoption levels to 3PP are in the medium category (75%). This implies that the role of cocoa doctor could be expected to improve adoption of 3PP.  Keywords: cocoa doctor; cocoa farmers;  adoption.
