Jurnal Manajemen dan Organisasi didedikasikan untuk menumbuhkan kreasi pertukaran ide antara akademisi, kalangan industri atau bisnis praktis, dan institusi pemerintah dalam bidang manajemen dan organisasi. Jurnal ini diterbitkan tiga kali dalam setahun, yaitu bulan April, Agustus, dan Desember. Artikel yang dimuat dalam jurnal ini mengedepankan analisis objektif terhadap kasus manajemen dan organisasi dalam perspektif akademik berupa hasil penelitian di bidang manajemen dan organisasi dalam perpektif akademik berupa hasil penelitian di bidang manajemen dan review terhadap konsep manajemen baru maupun implementasi konsep manajemen dengan studi literatur. Redaksi menerima naskah dari berbagai pihak untuk dimuat pada jurnal ini. Naskah yang masuk harus mengikuti Format Penulisan Naskah Jurnal Manajemen dan organisasi.

Abstract

PT XYZ is one of property companies that involved in apartment and condotel business in Yogyakarta. At present, PT XYZ had decreased in revenue due to decreased in unit sales and delinquent payments by existing customers. These problems made the company?s performance decrease so the company sold 38 percent of its shares to PT ADP and PT TBR. Together with the new management composition, the company strives to improve its performance. Therefore, a strategy formulation is needed to make the company performance being improved again. Interviews were conducted with informants selected by purposive sampling to identify company?s internal and external strategic issues. The IFE matrix (Internal Factor Evaluation) and EFE matrix (External Factor Evaluation) are used to evaluate company?s internal and external conditions. SWOT matrix (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threat) is used to find alternative strategies to improve company performance. There are five alternative strategies to improve company performance after acquisition, namely: (1) rebranding the names of apartments and condotels; (2) increase promotion and sales activities; (3) improve good relationship with consumers; (4) make value added for the apartments; (5) recruiting experienced sales employees.

Abstract

Employees who are engaged will give the best performance and do things related to the job optimally in order to achieve the goals of the institution. This study aims to analyze the influence of employee engagement on the performance of employees of the Directorate of Information Systems and Digital Transformation (DSITD) of IPB University. The research method used is quantitative research method, using descriptive statistik analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study can be concluded that the state of employee engagement and employee performance in DSITD IPB is in good category. Partially, absorption elements have been found to effect the employee performance. However, together with vigor and dedication, absorption element have an effect of 67,5 percent on employee performance, meaning that of all variables that can affect employee performance, employee engagement only affects 67,5 percent.

Abstract

Accounting conservatism is a precautionary principle in reporting financial statements. This principle slows down the recognition of income and accelerates the recognition of costs, resulting in low profits and assets, and high costs and debt. This study aims to analyzing the effect of leverage, financial distress and profitability as independent variable to accounting conservatism in mining companies as dependent variable. The sample of this study used 20 listed companies. This research are using secondary data published by the company and BEI. Methods in this study using multiple regression analysis processed with software Eviews 10. The results showed that independent variables together significantly affect the changes in accounting conservatism. Profitability variables have a negative and significant effect on accounting conservatism of mining companies.

Abstract

The Infrastructure Industry has become the focus of the state expenditure budget during the Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla presidency. This is due to the importance of infrastructure in assisting the sustainability of a country's development, but the fact is that government funds as a source of infrastructure funds are delayed when the company has acquired a new project resulting in the use of debt in infrastructure companies as a capital structure to run the new project. The study identifies examination on the impact of capital structure determinants on firm financial performance of Indonesia?s Infrastructure Companies listed over the period of 2014-2018. Determination of the number of samples in this study using non-probability sampling, specifically purposive sampling method. The study uses one capital structure measures (Leverage) as dependent variable and four performance measures (including company?s size, the tangibility of asset, liquidity, and asset turnover) as independent variables and proceed using multiple regression model. The result indicates that liquidity has a significantly negative relationship to leverage, meanwhile company?s size, the tangibility of asset, and asset turnover are not significantly related to the level of debt in infrastructure companies in Indonesia, however, it goes along with the way of thinking in the Pecking Order Theory.

Abstract

PT Cipta Paramula Sejati is one of the companies engaged in the space and office rental business in Jakarta. PT Cipta Paramula Sejati manages the rental of office buildings and rooms in the Jakarta Design Center Building. Jakarta Design Center is a mall that has three types of businesses related to building space rental. Every company will be faced with various problems, both problems that come from within the company (internal) and problems from outside the company (external). This study aims to analyze the strategic objectives and key performance indicator (KPI) in terms of four perspective Balanced Scorecard (BSC), an also performance measurement methods at PT Cipta Paramula Sejati based on BSC concept. The analytical method used is the BSC. The study used a descriptive approach through in-depth interviews with respondents who were chosen intentionally (purposive sampling). The results of the study obtained twelve strategic targets and fourteen KPI. Based on the results of the BSC compilation of PT Cipta Paramula Sejati, the weighting for each BSC perspective was as follows: financial perspective of 27.78 percent, customer perspective of 27.78 percent, internal business process perspective of 25 percent, and learning and growth perspective of 19.44 percent.

Abstract

CV. Sun Farm is a vegetable distributor company in Cianjur, West Java. Nowadays the company faces the problems in the form of vegetable damage. The purpose of this study are to assess the implementation of vegetable quality management, to identify the causes of vegetable damage, and to recommend the strategies to improve the vegetables quality. The research method used Pareto Diagram to calculate the biggest losses that occur in vegetables, Fish Bone Diagram to determine the causes of vegetable quality problems and Analytical Hierarchy Process to formulate a strategy to improve the quality of vegetables, Implementation of quality management in companies is still simple, including leadership commitment to meet customer satisfaction. The vegetables that caused the highest losses were baby beans and horinso. Vegetable damage occurs due to human factors: the lack of rigorous employee work and employees who don't arrive on time. The strategy to maintain and improve the quality of vegetables is training for old employees and new employees.

Abstract

The Principle of profit-sharing operation in Sharia bank is often utilized for financing. However, in its practice, the distribution of Sharia Bank funds be done at the equivalent cost. This might occur due to the agency predicament in which Sharia Commercial Bank become a liaison between the depositor and the debtor who bring money. By conducting panel analysis of regression data at 11 sharia commercial banks in Indonesia during period 2012.Q1-2016.Q4, it was found that financial problems happen chiefly because of adverse Sharia Banks and moral hazard which intentionally increase financing.

Abstract

The development of new era leads people to be fast and practical person on all activity. Include culture of choosing food and drink consumers choose  fast food. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of consumers, analyze the purchasing decision making process, and analyze the factors that influence consumer decision making. The method used in this research is a descriptive analysis and factor analysis use SPSS 25 for windows. The research result consumers characteristic at McDonald?s Jatiasih is female, last education senior high school, job as students and ten major factors influence consumer purchase decisions at McDonald?s, the factors consist of enviroment impact, the habits of individuals, marketing mix, activity, time, product attractiveness, knowledge and physical condition. Time factor is the strongest factors impact consumers buyer decision and dayime is the priority factors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of company size, muslims on board, women on board, company age, foreign ownership, Islamic securities, profitability, liquidity, leverage against Islamic Social Report disclosures of listed Consumer Goods Industries in Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) in 2011-2017. The sample consists of 23 listed Consumer Goods Industries in Indonesia Sharia Index (ISSI) in 2011-2017. Annual reports were analyzed by content analysis method and Panel Data Regression Analysis Model was used to test hypotheses. The analysis shows that company's size, company's age, profitability have a significant positive effect on disclosure of the Islamic Social Report (ISR) in Consumer Goods Industries. Meanwhile, muslims on board, women on board, foreign ownership, Islamic securities, liquidity, leverage have no significant effect towards the disclosure of Islamic Social Report on Consumer Goods Industries.

Abstract

The crisis of high labor cost leads companies to evaluate the number of employees in the head office. This study aims to determine the workload and needs of employees in the Directorate of Operations PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII Head Office. The method used in this research is the analysis of the workload with the calculation of Full Time Equivalent (FTE) and work sampling using purposive sampling techniques. The ideal number of employees at the Directorate of Operations is 40 employees consisting of 21 employees of the Plant Department and 19 employees of the Engineering and Processing Department. Based on teh observation, employee working time in Directorate of Operations shows that the average of employee working time is 87,8 4percent fairly productive because it meets the standard that is above 85 percent.
