Abstract

In an era of increasingly fierce competition coupled with the emergence of various kinds of information sources, producers must be able to build good marketing communication to promote their products so the quality and the uniqueness of the product can be known by consumers. One of the promotional tools that can be used is experiential marketing which has 5 types of experience, sense, feel, think, act and relate called SEMs (Strategic Experience Modules) ). This study aims to look at the effect of experiential marketing on the purchase intention of IKEA products. The population is consumers who have visited the IKEA store and are over 22 years old. A sample of 100 people was obtained by purposive sampling. Using multiple regression analysis the results showed that sense and act influence significantly on purchase intention, and the influence of sense is greater than the act. However, independent variables all together affect purchase intention. The ability of independent variables to explain variations in purchase intention is very low. Therefore other additional independent variables are needed in further research. To cite this article (7th APA style): Rosady, N., Suharyanti, & Anitawati, M. Th. (2019). Abstract

Public Radio Broadcasting the Republic of Indonesia is one of the media that plays an important role in conveying information, connecting people's aspirations, as well as information safety belts, especially in border areas such as Riau Islands Province in other media. This is due to the lack of infrastructure in the border area and still not sovereign airspace of the republic of Indonesia especially for the region around the Riau Archipelago province. Therefore, the government is expected to pay more attention to RRI in the border areas. Because considering that RRI in the boundary area is not a regular radio but foreign radios that have sophisticated technology and have a broad transmit power and of course the central government should continue to try to take over the territorial sovereignty of Indonesian republic so that RRI can freely to run its role as seat belt information.

Abstract

In the last 15 years, especially in Makassar, there was a tendency for private and public activities at coffee shops. This study aims to reveal the practices and power relations that shape the reality of the public space of coffee shops in Makassar, both as public space and as a public sphere by using ethnographic methods and cultural studies analysis approach. The primary data collection was carried out through participant observation and in-depth interviews, while secondary data through note-taking techniques and photo documentation. The results showed that mass media had a significant role in shaping the reality of coffee shops. Strategic coalitions between coffee shop owners, radio stations (such as Mercurius FM and Fajar FM) and coffee connoisseurs have an impact on the commodification of public spaces in coffee shops. Print media such as Fajar and Tribun Timur also contribute in constructing reality with its own framing to obtain "news value that sells". Therefore, coffee shops in Makassar are not merely becoming spaces of (social) politics, but are also politicized through the politics of space for the benefit of each party.

Abstract

The current demographic bonus is often thought of as a "golden opportunity" for the nation to align itself with other nations. Population growth, especially productive age, will be a key measure in improving the country's productivity. But in the modern Biopolitical Era, it can be a "threat" to the democratic life and public criticism. This paper attempts, critically explores how biopolitical regimes work in controlling the socio-political life of society. Ranging from cultural issues in the post-tradition era, emancipation politics, the digital world, to the social life of public spaces/ spheres, will be the main focus. Alternatively, the idea of youth literacy becomes an offer in reading/ writing various issues of the nation that depart from the roots of everyday life. To cite this article (7th APA style): Faisal, A. Abstract

In playing various video game, gamers unconsciously and automaticly embodied theirself inside the video game. The embodiment process are portrayed through icons, avatars and mostly their in-game characters, while the immersion happens during the process of playing, which can occur inside and outside of the video game. The playing intensity and the amount of time spend in playing video game determine the overall process of embodiment and immersion, beside the player sociocultural condition. This research uses ethnography to identify how gamers play the video game to fulfill their intrinsic needs such as competence, autonomy and relatedness. To cite this article (7th APA Style): Yuwono, A. Abstract

Licensing issues are one thing that puts a burden on community radios, radios that are established to serve the information and entertainment needs of a particular community and are not justified in seeking benefits like private radio. Another thing is about the rules of advertising where community radio is not allowed to broadcast commercial advertisements, as well as canalization rules problems or broadcast frequency restrictions. This research answers the negotiations conducted by the Balai Minomartani (BBM) radio station and Radio Wijaya in Yogyakarta in obeying the government's burdensome rules and what their motivations. Data obtained from in-depth interviews, online and offline observations, and document collection. The results showed that the negotiations carried out by such two radio related to the troublesome and burdensome rules were to obtain legality and carry out the mandate of the community because legality became an important capital for the existence of community radio and to obtain various accesses. To cite this article (7th APA style): Eddyono, A. Abstract

This study aims to determine the communication strategy of the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of Bengkulu city tourism for the Visit 2020 Wonderful Bengkulu program based on promotional mix theory which includes advertising, sales promotion, personal selling and public relations. Using a qualitative-interpretive approach, we collected data in the field through in-depth interviews with 9 informants, participant observation, and other document records. The results show that in promoting, ads have not highlighted the uniqueness of tourism potential and media placement of ads that are not distributed in all airlines. On the other hand, Bengkulu City tourism is also relatively promoted only privately and accidently, for example due to official visits by officials. Regarding the public relations strategy, we found inconsistencies between reality in tourism objects and the proclaimed regional government program. Based on these findings, we suggest a more strategic effort to maximize preparations to welcome the Visit 2020 Wonderful Bengkulu. To cite this article (7th APA style): Puspita, D., Adhrianti, L. & Gushevinalti (2018).
