Abstract

Implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) is still faced with a number of obstacles including: (1) literacy program still has not been socialized properly, (2) understanding of the participants on the implementation strategy literacy movements are still limited, (3) based on the analysis of the needs of teachers want practical experience integrating literacy into in learning. The obstacles are experienced by elementary school teachers in Teachers Working Group (KKG) Tosari- Pasuruan District. The purpose of this activity to facilitate a focused target groups (1) create literacy media both theory and practice conceptually, (2) the implementation strategy of literacy programs in schools. Methods of implementation of activities include the flow of activities stages, ways of working and output / outcome of community service activities. The ways of workings include (1) the distribution of material according to field of expertise, (2) mentoring  participants through brainstorming, discussion and discussion, practice simulations and demonstrations, (3) sustainable mentoring; (4) documentation of training and mentoring. While the output of activities includes (1) training module, (2) product of literacy mentoring , (3) implementation strategy design of literacy media in learning. One of the the training and mentoring results is participants has good understanding of the essence of the program School Literacy Movement (GLS) and designing procedure and create resources and literacy media, practice in creating some media literacy media like big books, mini-books, pop-up books, picture story, content posters and word wall, as well as participant delivered a high level of satisfaction with the material about training an mentoring that have been implemented.

Abstract

The application of character learning to elementary mathematics requires certain techniques. In the mathematics of elementary school teachers should use abstract media. Problems that arise in elementary school mathematics teacher in Kecamatan Negeri Katon is lack of knowledge in using props, in this case on FPB material and KPK. In addition, teachers are still confused in choosing the props that should be used on every learning material. To overcome this is used DAKOTA props that can facilitate students' understanding in learning FPB and KPK materials. The method used in this devotion is the making of DAKOTA props using rigid boards. From the results of this devotion activity obtained the spirit of mathematics teachers and the emergence of ideas to make props on other learning materials.

Abstract

This study objective is to determine how the description of the skills of science process skills of grade V students of Primary Inpres superior of BTN PEMDA through the application of Learning Model Predict Observe, Discuss, and Explain (PODE). This research is designed in descriptive form to explain exactly what kind of science classroom process skill V SD Inpres superior BTN PEMDA Makassar City. The use of descriptive method aims to get an overview of the skills of science process students in grade V SD Inpres Superior of BTN PEMDA in depth, detailed and intact. The type of data taken is descriptive quantitative data type, where the data is taken from direct observation by the researcher related to science process skill of grade V SD Inpres Superior of BTN PEMDA. The results of the research are: 1) the ability to observe is categorized well; 2) the ability to make predictions / hypotheses is categorized well; 3) the ability of the child to experiment is categorized as good; 4) the ability to draw conclusions and report the observed results are adequately categorized. Overall student process skills can be categorized well although there are still some aspects that need to be improved

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires the teaching of each subjects are integrated, known,. This means that on one theme may link some subjects in it. After evaluating in implementation, curriculum  2013 revised edition provides the exceptions of teaching mathematics to be taught in separate. The main problems faced by teachers, especially in the teaching of mathematics are; less mastering the basic concepts of mathematics, there are still materials that do not know taught and often there are math problems that are difficult to solve. This devotional activity aims to help upper class teachers in the sub district of Bacukiki Town of Parepare (partner)  in understanding the basic concepts of mathematics, helping to solve problems that are considered difficult and difficult math material taught.Activities in the form of workshops reinforcement of mathematical material on groups of partner teachers. Interactive teaching methods, joint research and self-assignment proved to improve knowledge and understanding of basic mathematical concepts for partner teachers.

Abstract

This research aims to acquaire the description of ability level elementary students third grade at district Ulaweng, regency of Bone. The population is the entire elementary students third grade at district Ulaweng, regency of Bone. Samples are drawn by random in every group supervision UPTD grade at district Ulaweng, regency of Bone.Since there are four group supervision, those four schools become samples in which elementary students third grade are the subject of research.Instrument of data collection uses test. Data of test result is then analysed by descriptive statistical technique in the form of distribution of frequency, aritmetic mean, standard deviation, and percentage.Based on analysis data, it is summarizedthat the levelofcalculatingabilityelementary students third grade at district Ulaweng, regency of Bone is considered low. It is then recommended to all stakeholders in academic field to make serious effort to enhance math learning process at elementary school.

Abstract

The objective of this research is  to improve listening skills of students state elementary school 238 Palembang grade V through Paired Storytelling model using audio visual media. The method used in this research is qualitative in the form of action research. The subjects of this study are all students of class Va State Elementary School 238 Palembang which amounted to 34. This research is collaborative, so that researchers and teachers of the class can collaborate. The data were collected by using learning result test and performance test of listening skill. Therefore, this research instrument is a matter and rubric performance appraisal skill listening. This action research is conducted in a cycle that each cycle consists of four stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycle in this study consists of two meetings. Based on the data on the average score of listening skills, it is known that an increase from 57.5 in cycle I to 74.5 in cycle II. Therefore, this study ends in cycle II. Based on the results of research and data analysis concluded that the application of audio visual media can improve the listening skills of students of Va Class SD Negeri 238 Palembang through Paired Storytelling model.

Abstract

The objective of this reserach is to collect information about the bullying behavior of children in kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal I Bara-Baraya Branch of Makassar City. This research used qualitative approach and qualitative descriptive research. The subject of research is the child in Kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal I Bara-Baraya Branch of Makassar City in group B with the number of students 23. Data collections in this research are observation, interview and documentation. Results of research on Bullying Behavior in Children in Kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal I Bara-Baraya Branch of Makassar City shows there is bullying behavior in the form of bullying verbal and physical bullying. The number of dominant Bullying cases occurring is physical Bullying behavior of hitting, kicking, robbing, pushing, destroying, twisting arms, throwing and threatening compared to the number of cases of verbal Bullying behavior in the form of calling by other names and mocking. In terms of verbal bullying behavior is generally more experienced by girls than boys, while for physical bullying behavior experienced more by boys than girls. Then Performers in verbal and physical bullying behavior are generally done by boys compared to girls.

Abstract

The problem in this research is whether there is a significant impact from the training of the increase of superintendent competence of unit of education unit in South Sulawesi province ?. The purpose of the study was to obtain a picture of the significant impact of the training on increasing the competence of school unit superintendents The type of this research is quantitative descriptive, population of all superintendents of educational unit, research sample member of 50 superintendents of High School / Vocational School,, Data collected by using test, documentation. Then the data is analyzed by using N-Gain test analysis. The results showed that the training of superintendent  strengthening has contributed in developing the knowledge, attitude, and skills of school superintendents on the superintendent based on education unit. This is demonstrated by 96% of the training participants getting good and very good qualifications.
