Abstract

The problems   faced  by crisply  industry  "Sarinah"   was  the  problem of dryer of kerecek (raw  crisply)  which  need wide of place and very depend on  weather.   The   operation    could   be  adapted   by  requirement    of   good production   on  noon   or  night.   Target   activity   of  this  program   was  give additional   aid  of  equipment   of  production   matching   with  requirement    of small  industry   so  that   production   mount   and  have  technology    mainstay production,  efficient  and cheap  of operating  expenses.To  overcome    problems    of  production   draining   of  crisply,   gone through the following  stages:   (1) making  scheme  of crisply  dryer  according to  requirement   of  small  industry;   (2)  making  crisply  dryer  with  adequate capacities  (15.000-20.000)    in a short  times  (7 -  8 hours),  and  (3)  partner industry can exploit  dryer technology  in an optimal  flashing.Execution  of activity  orients  on efficacy  of making  of dryer  able  tobe exploited  properly.  The result  of make-up  of small industrial  productivity after wearing  this appliance  is marked  with attainment  of larger  ones  om set. Total the omset  before  this  program  is 8000 crisply  sold (equivalent   of Rp800.000,00/day).   After  adjustment   of technology  of dryer,  tired  mean  omset13.000 until  15.000 crisply.  On bad weather,  industrial  this crisply  produces crisply  till  20.000   because   getting   the  order  5000  of  crisply   from  other industries.   This  means   program   of  this  voucher   can  increase   product   on small industry.Key words: dryer, crisply, small industrial

Abstract

tProduction tools used by the craftsmen at Prambanan Yogyakartafiberglass is still very simple. There are 2 main tools used by the craftsmenwhich led directly influence both the quantity and quality of handicraftproducts. For mixing dough fiberglass, the craftsmen using improvised toolsand for finishing the painting, the craftsmen using hand brushes. From boththese tools, fiberglass dough mixer was chosen to be developed.The mixer uses elliptic vertical stirrer model with a larger radius atthe bottom. The purpose of this design is for rotating the flow of fluidinsideand sideway of the stirrer rotation and outside flow at the other area.The form of this mixer is a solution of the goal to produce a homogeneousmixture of fiberglass. Swivel stand is the stand of plastic bucket that will befilled with fiberglass dough. This bucket rotates automatically when themixing takes place. Thus an accelerated stirring and mixing a homogeneousmixture.Power uses¼ HPelectric motor with 1425 rpm. Motor speed is thenreduced by half through the pulley transmission. Mixer machineperformance is then compared between the old machines with new machinesassociated with the design of mixer and a different holder. Old mixer usinga single L shape stirrer rod, a new mixer using a mixer with a double ellipticshape intersect. Old mixer using the fix stand, while the new mixer using aswivel stand. Both productiveness of the mixer then compared in terms ofquantity and quality of mixing. Tests on the preparation of the second mixermachine does not show a significant difference, on average it takes 5minutes before stirring preparation done. Tests at the time of stirringshowed that the new mixer can mix faster than the old mixer. New mixerstirring just 5 minutes to produce a homogeneous mixture, while the oldmixer takes 10 minutes. Tests showed that the volume of new mixer capableof stirring the batter with a capacity of 4 times greater at around 20 liters,the results of this dough is much better visually and homogeneous. Theimplication of this finding is new mixer can improve the quantity andquality of fiberglass dough, and can be used as a substitute for the old mixerused byfiberglass industry targets.

Abstract

The objective  of the research  is to investigate  the effect of the Acasia mangium  L leaves rubbish  compost  on the growth and production  of peanut.The  peanut    used    is gajah  variety.  The Acasia  mangium   L leaves rubbish  compost   was  used  for  the  treatment   materials     given  since   the seedling  time.  The  compost   was  mixed  with  the  soil    used  for  planting media.  This  research   applied  the  Completely   Randomized   Design  (CRD). The independent  variables  consisted  of six levels i.e 0,10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 grams compost  per  polibag,  each five replications.  The dependent  variables are height, fresh weight,  dry weight  at the end of the vegetative  growth,  and the sum of the  fruit  is counted  after  harvest.  The data  were analyzed  using the analysis of variants  (anova),The  result  of  the  research   indicates  that  after    receiving  treatment,the height, fresh weight,  and dry weight  of peanut,  on 30, 40, and 50 grams proportion  of the  compost  weight  are  significant  (p<0.05).  The  sum  of the ghost on 40 and 50 grams proportion  of compost  weight,  shows a significant result (p<0.05).  The combination   of the height, fresh weight, and dry weight parameters     on  30,  40,  and  50  grams  compost   weight,   shows   value   of growth better than with other treatments.Key words: composting, growth, and production

Abstract

Community development learning activities for lecturer and students is a medium to contribute to the settlement of the problems in society. Thepurpose of this proram is: First, to be able to empower farming communitiesthrough a community initiative compost manure management to be used asorganic compost. Second, introducing appropriate technology composter forthe farmers as a tool for the process of making compost from cow manureinto organic fertilizer that is efficient and profitable.  The method is applied in the framework of empowerment of the targetgroup through observation, interviews, documentation, education, training,practice,coaching,andmonitoringofprograms.Tobeintheimplementationof these activities can work well, before the student falls on theground, first given a briefing on the program material that will apply to thetarget group .  The results of the activities of this program are: (1) society has beenable to target the group of self-sufficient through the compost cow manuremanagement used as organic compost; (2) the target group has to know, canuse and take advantage of appropriate technology in the composter compostingprocesscowmanureintoorganicfertilizermoreefficientlyandprofitably.The implications of this program can serve as a model of communityempowerment in a self-sufficient farm compost compost to meet internalneeds, and can even be used as a productive economic activity. Abstract

The purposes of this activity are: (1) Enhance the ability of teachersto create a fun learning atmosphere for students. (2) Cultivating teachers toimplement innovative learning, creative, effective and fun in every activitypembelajaran. (3) Enhancing professional competence and pedagogy ofteachers, especially in implementing innovative learning models.The method used consists of (a) Extension is intended to increaseknowledge and understanding of the innovative learning models, (b)training, which is done by giving a chance to practice learning models thathave been received. (c) Assistance, intended as a follow-up of this serviceactivities. Assistance to teachers can be advisory to the problems faced inschools.The results of this activity are: (1) 90% of participants attending thetraining and mentoring diligently performed 4 times. (2) 75% are able todraw up lesson plans on the subject matter by using a model of innovativelearning.

Abstract

This article reports the community service project on the implementation of a training model specially designed for alumni of English Education Department (hereafter, EED), Ganesha University of Education. The gradual increase of student body in EED has been found to have a direct effect on the longer waiting time for employment. It is common that they work as part time English instructors in private English courses while waiting for permanent employment. This kind of job has been considered temporal and it is unlikely to be taken seriously. Private English courses that provide general English tuitions are abundant, therefore, to be competitive the training follows a 100-hour English for Specific Purposes (hereafter, ESP) model. The materials involve 8 ESP packages that comprise English for Policeman, for Banking, for Hotel & Restaurant, Tour Guides, for Secretary, for Public Relation, and for Art shop attendants and Street Vendors. They also learn about course management and conducting fun classroom activities. All the trainers are experienced human resources in the fields. The project results in 8 material packages and strong motivation of the alumni to start entrepreneurship in ESP courses

Abstract

This particular training is a program concerning: 1) developing a new clay material made of Lapindo Sidoarjo mud and ash taken from Merapi mountain Yogyakarta, and 2) to produce prototypes of ceramic products from this particular clay. The participants of this program are teachers majoring in arts and culture of junior high schools in Sleman Yogyakarta, who are the members of the art education teacher association known as Teachers Association. The program involved 25 teachers and it was conducted on June 9-13th, 2016. The main materials given in the training were related to the substance of the clay and the method of producing ceramic products using that particular clay. The program was held at Centre of Teachers? and Academic Professionals? Development and Empowerment of Art and culture Yogyakarta. The training was conducted through lecturing, discussion and demonstration and giving a practical workshop. The results of the training are as the following. First, all of the participants showed their enthusiasm and high motivation during the training. Secondly, the participants of the training were successful in making good quality ceramic products using the clay made of Sidoarjo mud and Merapi ash.

Abstract

AbstractInformation technology has progressed rapidly. The using of informationtechnology can help teachers to manage their time for searchingreferences that can be useful to teach their students. This programme wasaimed to give a course for biology teachers of Senior High Schools atSleman District to use information technology for making lessoning mediabased on internet.The methode of this course was learning by doing. The team gavethe theory about information technology using for media making, and thenthe participants practiced it directly. There were 16 teacher participants fromSleman District, and one teacher from East Kalimantan as a guest teacher.The participants were very eager to search the information relatedtheir teaching tasks. They did searching, browsing, downloading, anduploading the information from internet and then they arranged it in alessoning media. In a limited trying test, lessoning media created by theparticipants could help the teaching-learning process clearly, but it neededtime more to prepare and to arrange the media.Keywords: lessoning media and internet
