Abstract

Baby Kenya bean is a bean types that has a good prospects, it has successfully entered the export market. Poktan Tauhid which is a part of the Farmers Group (Gapoktan) Lembang Agri are the farmers group who grows baby kenya bean. The aim of this research are to know the causative factors of farmer that led to an inability to meet the demand for the baby kenya bean for PT. Alamanda Sejati Utama and determine the accurate strategy which can be implemented in Poktan Tauhid to overcome the problems.The research design is qualitative with descriptive analysis technique with fishbone diagrams and analysis of operation strategies with QSPM. The results of the research indicates that a very problematic technical factors among others are the weather conditions, pest and plant disease. While non-technical factors that is very problematic isthe harvest labor. In addition, technical factors that enter into the troubled category are technology, seeds, water availability andthe wind. The alternative strategy that can be implemented in Poktan Tauhid Backward Integration.The implication of this alternative strategy is enabling Poktan Tauhid to better control the process to reschedule planting schedules for every babykenya bean farmer. Moreover, counseling should be given more frequently, related to technologies and the prevention of pests and diseases naturally.Keyword :Causative factors, alternative strategy, baby kenya bean

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the break even point and the risk of laying ducks farm income in Sugih Waras Village, Belitang Mulya Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Timur District. The research location is determined on purposive and make all laying duck farmers using cages 15 x 5 m and 15 x 6 m or raising ± 150 laying ducks in Sugih Waras Village as the respondents of this study (census methods). The results showed that laying ducks farmers in Sugih Waras Village reach the break even point at the time of production by 740 egg per month with a price is Rp 1.111.675,13 per egg. Laying ducks farm in Sugih Waras Village likely losses indicated by the variation coefficient of 1,026 and the lower limit revenue of -1.380.102,9.Keywords : break even point, the risk of income, laying ducks

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to analyze the characteristics and consumers preference towards shrimp paste. Faktors and level attributes used are size (5 gr, 10gr and 25gr), presentation (burned, and have not burned), packaging (wrapper leaf, jointly and severally plastic, and aluminum foil) and purity (pure shrimp, and mixed fish). Respondents taken as many as 50 people with accidental sampling that will be required to determine the ranking of a combination of faktors and levels (stimuli) from most preferred to least preferred. Consumer characteristics were analyzed using descriptive analysis, and consumer preferences were analyzed with conjoint analysis. The results showed that the respondents prefer the paste to the size of 10gr, had been burned, the packaging wrapper leaf, and pure shrimp paste. Based on the importance rate faktor, consumers prefer packing faktor for the first, and then the purity faktor, after that the size faktor, and the last is a representation faktor.Keywords: Consumers, Preference, Shrimp Paste

Abstract

Target of this research is to know and elaborate: Activity of rosela agroindustries in Lembang and also make correct strategy to develop rosela agroindustries in Lembang. The method of this research used by case study. Data which used in this research is primary and secunder data. Primary data obtained with direct interview technique to responden, the secunder obtained from various institution which related to this research. Data analysed descriptively, is and also used by Analysis of SWOT to get correct strategy in development of  agroindustri rosela in Lembang.The result of this research are: the problem to develop of rosela agroindustri in Lembang in general for example is: lack of availability of Human Resource, lack of promotion and lack of support of medium and also institute. In consequence, strategy in development of rosela agroindustri in Lembang have to convergent local potency and strength and also orient market. Needed innovation and creativity to be tidy and market products of rosela sold authenticity, specification and local by rosela in Lembang.Keywords : Rosela, Agroindustries, Farmers, Free Trade Area

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) To Analyze the comparative and the competitive advantages of maize in Kabupaten Bengkayang (2) To analyze the impact of the government policy of maize in Kabupaten Bengkayang. The Analyze method use a Policy Analisys Matrix (PAM). The analisys showed that Domestic Resource of Ratio were 0,59 and Private Cost Ratio were 0,81. Both of them are less than one that’s mean the maize had the comparative and competitive advantages. To see the government policy of input can be shown from the Nominal Protection Coefficient on Output (NPCO). To see the government policy of input can been shown from the Nominal Coefficient on Input (NPCI) and factor Transfer. Simultanly the government policy if input and output can be shown from the Effective Protection Coefficient Value (EPC), Profitability Coefficient (PC) and Surplus Ratio to Producer (SRP). The analisys result shown that there is no government policy that have been made to the maize output in Kabupaten Bengkayang, right in buying  price subsidiary or protection of actual buying price. The government policy to maize input has been shown to the farmer side, but the subsidiary input price not profitable enough to increasment and development of maize product in Kabupaten Bengkayang if not followed by output price policy.Keyword : Comparative and Competitive Advantages, Policy Analisys Matrix, Maize

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the production risk of rice farm and compare production risk betwen wetland rice farm and field rice farm. The method used in this study is deskriptive and quantitative method. The location is determined by purposive. Data obtained through interviews with160 randomly simple rice farmers. The method used is just and pope production of multiple linear regression analysis with cobb douglas method and t test analysis.The results of this research were: the model showed that the factors such as land width, seeds, urea fertilizers, pesticides and quantity of family labours had a real influence to the increase of the wetland rice farm production. While NPK fertilizers, age and education of farmers did not influence to (non-significant) the increasing of rice production.The model used in this research had showed that land width, pesticides, quantity of family labours and age of farmers had a real influence to the increase of the field rice farm production. While seeds and education farmer did not influence to (non-significant) the increasing of rice production. Compare production risk between wetland rice farm and field rice farm showed real difference. Keywords: Risk, Production, Rice Farm, wetland and field.
