Abstract

This study aims to improve the mastery of learning through the application ofmethods of stories on the subjects of Islamic religious education aspects of morality.This is a classroom action research that is carried out in three cycles. The cycle 1, theaverage of the student learning achievement values reached 82 with the completeness of86%. Cycle 2, the average of the student learning achievement values reached 91.79 withthe completeness of 92%. While on cycle 3, the average of the student learning achievementvalues reached 92.14 with the completeness of 96%. In Addition, Increased activity ofteachers in the learning process also tends to increase of the cycle I reached 63.6%, thesecond cycle Increased to 85.5%, and 96.4%.

Abstract

Islam is as a universal religion, as a religion for humanity (all humankind), or as a religionfor the entire world because of its’ mission as rahmatan li al-’alamin. To realize suchmission in Indonesian context, education activity is aimed to raise up a multiculturalwisdom and global awareness of the pupils, so in next time they will be able to contributein preservation of heterogenity and to develop it for attaining a prosperious life, besidesto face globalization current appropiately. In this case, islamic education has a duty intransfering inclusive-multiculturalism Islamic teachings to students so that they are able toappreciate global values of Islam, like inclusivism, humanism, tolerance, and democracy.

Abstract

In epistemology, Islam has a concept that is established more in translating scienceintegration. When a Muslim does a scientific activity, then he should depart from thebasic intentions and intrinsic motivation that comes out of the deepest conscience to meetthe guidance of Allah. So that between science and con-science is a unity and totalitythat lead to the soul of rabbaniyyat. While we are developing and exploring the conceptof theoretical and practical, we must not just stop at the fact but also the fact behind thefact at the time of spiritual or metaphysical sense expressed in each statement of physics.

Abstract

This article aims to review and discuss the phenomenon of eminent school/ madrasah ininternational standard in Indonesia that has a tendency to be elitist and reproductiveforce is not productive force. There are two formulations of problem studied in thisarticle, namely how the elitism emerges in the eminent school / madrasah in internationalstandard? Then, how to recommend the eminent school / madrasah in order to ensureequitable access of education for all children throughout the community of nations,especially among the poor?

Abstract

The theology subject taught at the school tends merely to reinforce the faith and itsachievements to go to heaven without consciousness for having dialogue with otherreligions. These conditions make religious education very exclusive and intolerant.Whereas, nowadays pluralism era, religious education must be done the philosophicalparadigmaticreorientation of how to make students understand about religion moreinclusive, pluralistic, multicultural, humanistic, dialogue, persuasive, contextual,substantive and socially active. Therefore, in this study emphasizes the importance of thedevelopment of multicultural education in schools through a number of Islamic religiouseducation materials.

Abstract

The term of multicultural education, religious education contains of two conceptscombined, i.e between multicultural education and religious education. Multiculturaleducation as the basis of education values cultural diversity. Whereas, the religiouseducation is as a basis of education on religious values to produce religious men. Thecombination of these two concepts of education aims to make an educational system thatintegrates from both of them, or reduce the advantages, especially to produce religioushumanist students in a good character.

Abstract

Education is the process of transforming knowledge to become mature human beingsplenary. However, the knowledge that is released from religious values even bringadverse effects, in which the humanity of human demolished. Consequently, the processof transformation must involve two things at once: the knowledge and values. This iscalled integrative education. This type of education is not a utopian fantasy but rationalnecessity that finds justification in philosophical and theological arguments.

Abstract

The dualism of the nationally educational system has become the object of debate in variousforums and educational seminars. The dualism of the educational system is the continuityof history; both in history of the Muslims in particular and the history of Indonesian peoplein general. In addition, the discourse of dualism also gained back the education systemdue to political turmoil ideology. Whatever the reason, the dualism has some nationallynegative impact to educational institutions in Indonesia mostly in Islamic educationalinstitutions. Therefore, it was the time that education in Indonesia must be under thepolicy of the ministry of education to make one-policy of educational system.

Abstract

In addition to offering a new interpretation of hadis that allows violence in the prayereducation also shows that the main spirit as the practice of the prophet is prioritizingeducation by wise and gentle demeanor, not violence. Here it is also proved that, inpractice, the Prophet never used force in educating his Companions, but rather gentlyproved and profound influence in the their souls.Keywords: Prophet, Hadis, Violence, Islamic Education.Interpretasi baru atas hadis yang membolehkan kekerasan dalam pendidikan shalatjuga menunjukkan bahwa spirit utama sebagaimana praktik nabi adalah pendidikanyang lebih mendahulukan sikap arif dan lemah lembut, bukan kekerasan. Disini tampaklah jelas bahwa, dalam praktiknya, nabi tidak pernah menggunakankekerasan dalam mendidik para sahabatnya, tetapi justru dengan lemah lembut,dan terbukti membawa pengaruh mendalam dalam jiwa mareka.Kata Kunci: Nabi, Hadis, Kekerasan, Pendidikan Islam

Abstract

It is undeniable that some of Indonesian Muslims understand Islam in radicalismperspective. They used several of means to disseminate this radicalism throughorganization of cadres, speeches in mosques are managed by their control, publishingmagazines, booklets and books, and through various websites on the internet. As a result,Islamic radicalism has entered the most schools in some areas. If this is not immediatelyanticipated, it can help in growing the intolerance attitudes among students as opposedto the purpose of religious education itself.Keywords: Radicalism, Holy War, Websites, EducationTak bisa dipungkiri bahwa banyak umat Muslim Indonesia memahami Islam dalamperspektif radikalisme. Mereka menggunakan beberapa cara untuk menyebarkanradikalisme ini melalui organisasi kader, ceramah di masjid-masjid yang dikeloladengan kendali mereka, penerbitan majalah, booklet dan buku, dan melaluiberbagai situs di internet. Akibatnya, radikalisme Islam telah memasuki sebagianbesar sekolah di beberapa daerah. Jika hal ini tidak segera diantisipasi, makadapat membantu dalam menumbuhkan sikap intoleransi di kalangan siswa yangbertentangan dengan tujuan pendidikan agama itu sendiri.Kata Kunci: Radikalisme, Jihad, Situs, Pendidikan
