Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh agency cost terhadap kinerja perusahaan pada perusahaan keluarga dan non keluarga. Agency cost dalam penelitian ini diproksikan dengan expense ratio dan asset utilization ratio, sementara itu kinerja perusahaan diproksikan dengan rasio Tobin’s Q. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 32 perusahaan dengan struktur kepemilikan keluarga dan 22 perusahaan dengan struktur kepemilikan non keluarga yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode tahun 2008-2010. Dengan analisis regresi data panel diperoleh hasil bahwa expense ratio memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Sementara itu, untuk asset utilization ratio memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Lebih lanjut, dengan efek moderasi, kepemilikan keluarga dapat memperlemah pengaruh negatif agency cost yang diproksikan dengan expense ratio dan dapat memperlemah pengaruh positif agency cost yang diproksikan dengan asset utilization ratio terhadap kinerja perusahaan.Kata Kunci: Agency cost, Agency problem, Kepemilikan keluarga, Rasio Tobin’s Q.

Abstract

Perubahan bisnis dan ekonomi yang sedang dan akan terjadi berdampak pada dunia kerja, salah satunya pada peranan manajer dan karyawan sebagai professional dan cara bagaimana mereka mengelola karirnya. Perusahaan membutuhkan model manajemen karir yang align people management with managing the business. Perusahaan dapat mengambil peran melalui praktik manajemen karir organisasional yang diarahkan agar tercipta perbaikan perjanjian kerja dan penumbuhan career-resilient workforce. Manajer dan karyawan harus professional mengantar diri mereka sendiri untuk mampu bersaing meraih masa depan dengan menerapkan paradigma strategi karier yang terdiri dari: (1) bagaimana strategi menghadapi tantangan bersaing, (2) bagaimana strategi mendapatkan masa depan, (3) bagaimana strategi memobilisasi masa depan, dan (4) bagaimana strategi untuk tiba paling dulu di masa depan. Abstract

AbstractThis research analyzes the influence of profitability, liquidity, and debt to dividend payout ratio in manufacturing companies in Indonesia. The samples consist of 102 companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange during the period of 2008-2010. This research tests three hypotheses related to the influence of profitability, liquidity, and debt toward the dividend payout ratio (DPR). Data obtained were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis. The results of this research indicate that: (1) profitability ratio (ROI) has positively significant influence to dividend payout ratio. (2) Liquidity ratio (QR) does not significantly influence to dividend payout ratio. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) profitabilitas rasio (ROI) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap rasio pembayaran dividen. (2) rasio likuiditas (QR) tidak berpengaruh terhadap rasio pembayaran dividen. (3) Rasio hutang (DER) tidak berpengaruh atas rasio pembayaran dividen.Kata kunci: profitabilitas, likuiditas, utang, rasio pembayaran dividen (DPR), manufaktur perusahaan.

Abstract

The service quality is always the main factor for organization which focuses on the customer satisfaction to enhance their business and their performance. In order to have the great quality, they depend on their human resources. They need human resources who perform well. The employee who shows strong Organizational Citizenship Behavior believed can be performs better. That is why it is important for the organization to create employee with the strong OCB. OCB influenced by various factors. Job satisfaction and organization commitment are two important factors among them, which can predict the OCB. Organization should maintain the level of their employee’s satisfaction and commitment in order to develop the strong OCB. The research analyzed the effect of the job satisfaction and organization commitment on OCB at the PLN Distribution Office for Wet Java and Banten. Research conducted towards 100 participants using the multiple regression and descriptive analysis method. Through the analysis we found that job satisfaction and organization commitment has significance relation toward OCB (0.516). This finding is in line with previous research which promotes positive relation between these variables, eventhough only a mild percentage (0.266).The organization should place detail attention when applying the treatment. We suggest that the both job satisfaction and organization commitment should apply simultaneously in order to get better result. Further research needed to identify others factor which might be important to enhance the OCB.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh internasionalisasi, jumlah afiliasi bisnis, keberadaan afiliasi bisnis di luar negeri, dan intensitas riset dan pengembangan terhadap kinerja perusahaan-perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada periode 2011-2015. Penelitian ini mengukur internasionalitas perusahaan dengan menggunakan rasio penjualan perusahaan di luar negeri terhadap total penjualan perusahaan. Jumlah afiliasi bisnis yang dimiliki perusahaan dihitung berdasarkan data yang terdapat pada laporan keuangan perusahaan. Keberadaan afiliasi bisnis perusahaan di luar negeri digambarkan dengan variabel dummy. Intensitas riset dan pengembangan perusahaan diukur menggunakan rasio biaya riset dan pengembangan terhadap total penjualan perusahaan. Sementara, kinerja perusahaan diukur dengan menggunakan dua proksi, yaitu Return on Assets (ROA) dan Tobin’s Q. Dengan menggunakan analisis data panel, hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa internasionalisasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja perusahaan, jumlah afiliasi bisnis berpengaruh positif terhadap ROA namun berpengaruh negatif terhadap Tobin’s Q, dan keberadaan afiliasi di luar negeri serta intensitas riset dan pengembangan berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja perusahaan.

Abstract

Industry era 4.0 poses challenges for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to expand their business into the global market, but there are still many obstacles related to the readiness of resources and technology. This study aims to analyze the influence of business strategy quality, seller behavior ethics, process innovation, entrepreneurship orientation perspective, and business environment adaptability to the business performance of SMEs, with the role of mediation of competitive advantage. This study is a quantitative inferential research with primary data sources through questionnaires. The sample that used in this study is 80 SMEs entrepreneurs of batik center in Central Java, who taken uses purposive sampling method. The data are analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results of the first study show that the quality of business strategy and behavioral ethics of the seller partially positive effect on competitive advantage. The second finding of this study shows the quality of business strategy, seller behavior ethic, process innovation, entrepreneurship orientation perspective, business environment adaptability, and partial competitive advantage positively affect business performance. The results of this study are expected to be useful in theoretical development, especially strategic management.

Abstract

There are three major elements that considered being the expected certainty in green product purchasing is environmental attitude, product attitude, and also purchasing intention. Other variables such as collectivism, individualism, subjective and objective knowledge, environmental awareness, government’s role, media exposure, social influence, and perceived monetary value are linked to these factors as well. This research aims to examine regarding Indonesian consumers’ in creating green product purchase intention by applying Cognitive-Affective-Behavior hierarchy This study used convenience sampling as the design of the sampling with 262 respondents as the sample size. Questionnaires were distributed by spreading through internet and social media. After the data of all respondents were collected, then the analysis process of the data is conducted by using SEM PLS. However, there were seven hypotheses that showed unsupported results. These hypotheses are relationship between collectivism and environmental attitude, individualism and environmental attitude, individualism and product attitude, objective knowledge and environmental attitude, the role of government and product attitude, media exposure and environmental attitude, environmental attitude and purchase intention.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the value of the firm. Second, find out if Corporate Governance moderates the relation¬ship between Corporate Social Responsibility with the firm value. The sample is selected by purposive sampling method, ie sampling technique using a certain considerations that are relevant to the selected sample research purposes. The number of samples obtained are 22 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data analysis was performed by descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results show that the Corporate Social Responsibility is significantly positive effect on firm value. This means the better the implementation of CSR by companies the firm's value will increase. Second, good corporate governance as a moderating variable can significantly affect the relationship between CSR and firm value.Keywords: corporate social responsibility, firm value, good corporat governanceAbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh Corporate Social Responsibility terhadap nilai perusahaan. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, yaitu teknik sampling dengan menggunakan pertimbangan dan batasan tertentu sehingga sampel yang dipilih relevan dengan tujuan penelitian. Jumlah sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 22 perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Corporate Social Responsibility secara signifikan berpengaruh positif terhadap nilai perusahaan. Hal ini berarti semakin baik penerapan CSR oleh perusahaan maka nilai perusahaan akan semakin meningkat. Kedua, Good Coporate Governence sebagai variabel moderating secara siginifikan berpengaruh terhadap hubungan antara CSR dan nilai perusahaan.Kata Kunci: corporate social responsibility, nilai perusahaan, good corporate governance

Abstract

Two variables are usually used as a basis to make decision of privatization. While this is not necessarily wrong, there in fact other factors that should be taken for consideration but so far being neglected. These are human and cultural factors. This paper discusses these two factors and hypothesizes their implications in the short term and long term. In the short term, it is hypothesized that privatization will create fear, anxiety, stress and dissatisfaction among employees in which their company being privatized but no significance implication to the organizational culture. In the long term it is hypothesized that these fear, anxiety, stress and dissatisfaction will gradually be re¬duced. Despite this expectation, in the long term it is also expected that the success of privatization will be de¬pending on the reaction of the people on the cultural change. Key Words: Privatisasi, perubahan organisasi, perilaku karyawan, budaya organisasi.

Abstract

This paper challenges the notion of “universalist” or “one-size-fits-all” approach to corporate govern¬ance. It considers different perspective of understanding organization (corporations) which in turn generate alter¬nate paradigms concerning the issue of corporate governance and the way one could govern the corporation. It looks more closely of various assumptions and theoretical frameworks underpinning the governance concepts. The main proposition of this paper is that different perspectives in theory and paradigms result in different diagno¬ses of and the solutions to the problems of corporate governance in practice. Hence, it might be argued that there should be varies model of governance that should be considered based on specific characteristics of organization -and of different context- in order for such model to be effective.Keywords: shareholding, stakeholding, corporate governance, shareholder rights, corporate efficiency
