Abstract

Learning methods are needed so that students are more active in learning, as Reading, Presenting and Questioning (RPQ), and the Experimenting Discussion (ED) method. The purpose of this study is 1) to find out whether there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes with the RPQ and ED methods in terms of students' initial knowledge. 2) To determine whether there is influence of cognitive learning outcomes by the RPQ and ED methods without students' initial knowledge This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was all eighth grade students. This study uses a clusser random sampling technique in sampling. The study sample was students of class X Mia 1 as experimental class I and X Mia 3 as experimental class II. The data collection technique used is a test. Research instruments include RPP, Physics Articles, LKPD, and Pretest and Posttest Questions. Based on the results of the study using a childova test assisted by SPSS 23 software, it was obtained 1) Significant value was obtained at 0.001 and smaller than 0.05 so it was rejected, meaning that there were differences in students 'cognitive learning outcomes using the RPQ method and ED method in terms of students' initial knowledge. Significant value obtained by eliminating the covariate variable (initial knowledge) is 0.088 and greater than 0.05, it is accepted, meaning that there is no effect on students 'cognitive learning outcomes using the RPQ method and ED method without the students' initial knowledge. Based on the analysis it can be concluded that the initial knowledge used as an influential covariate variable on students' cognitive learning outcomes on the use of the RPQ and ED methods.

Abstract

This study aims to develop LKPD using simulation media with Modellus in circular motion irregular. The experimental subjects in this study are students of SMK class X. The model used is the ADDIE development model which includes 5 stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. To know the feasibility of media validation. This validation is in the form of a questionnaire with predetermined criteria and indicators. The development of LKPD conducted test of material experts, media experts, and users with a percentage of 79.68%, 77.27%, and 77.00%. With that percentage, the worksheets of students using simulated media aid with Modellus are categorized as viable media

Abstract

In the 21st century, emphasizing renewal learning systems using information and communication technology (ICT). One uses a learning management system (LMS). This study aims to determine the effectiveness in implementing the learning Management System (LMS) aided by Edmodo to improve student learning outcomes on dynamic fluid material. This research was conducted at one of the Gamping 1 High Schools with a quasi-experimental research design. As a sample in this study were 11th grade X students, selected by random sampling. The research data collection instrument used to pretest and posttest and the results of the study were tested by N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students increased in the high category with very good student responses. This means Edmodo-assisted Learning Management System (LMS) is very effective to improve student learning outcomes on dynamic fluid material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the models and criteria for increasing affective femininity. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Ciruas in the first semester of the 2018-2019 school year. This study emphasizes 34 models of consideration and value classification. This study uses a qualitative and quantitative approach with descriptive analysis methods. After the learning process model is considered and adjusted to the CIPP program (Context, Input, Process, Products) The results of the study show that: (1) There is an increase in effective ability in the learning model of consideration and classification of values ??(2) there is a meeting of cognitive and psychomotor abilities. (3) Evaluation of the model of product variable consideration is 79,35 at 72,91? Score < 93,74 means that it includes the Effective category. (4) Product variables in the model average value of 82,14 in 72,91 ? Score < 93,74 is included in the effective category.

Abstract

Abstact - Research has been conducted to develop a Model-Eliciting Activities (MEAs) handout with multiple representations that are feasible and able to improve students' mathematical modeling abilities. The research design refers to ADDIE namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 2 Purworejo with research subjects in a limited trial of 10 students, and 32 students in the application phase. Product trials using a posttest-only control design. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires and tests. The results of data analysis namely the quality of handouts can be seen from the aspects of validation, the implementation of learning, students' responses to the handouts and completeness of learning outcomes. The results of the MEAs handout validation with multiple representations of three validators, namely two expert lecturers and physics teachers with an overall assessment score of 3.52 (very good). The percentage of the learning outcomes of the four meetings was 90.39% (very good). Students' responses to the handout obtained a percentage of 84.51% (good). The percentage of completeness of learning outcomes using handouts in the experimental class was 78.13%. Increasing or not the ability of mathematical modeling using hypothesis testing with t-test statistics obtained t-count of 4.548 where the magnitude of t table is 2,000 with a significant level of 0.05. H0 is rejected if the test criteria in the hypothesis test are t_count> t_table = 4,548> 2,000 then the use of Model-Eliciting Activities (MEAs) handouts with multiple representations can improve mathematical modeling abilities. The assessment results indicate that the developed handouts have good quality and can improve mathematical modeling abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to find the Effect of Discovery Learning with Problem Based Learning to Result of Study in terms of Student Activity. The method used in this study is the True Experimental Design method. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using Two Path ANAVA, the first hypothesis obtained a value of Fhitung= 12.56 > Ft(?=0.05)= 4.06 ; Ft(?=0.01)= 7.24, while for the second hypothesis Fhitung=26.40 > Ft(?=0.05) = 4.06 ; Ft(?=0.01) = 7.24. Then for the third and fourth hypotheses can be calculated using the t-Dunnet test, the value thitung= 9.05 > tt(?=0.05)= 1.678 ; tt(?=0.01)= 2.411 and thitung= 5.64 > tt(?=0.05)= 1.678 ; tt(?=0.01)= 2.411. So from the results of this study it can be concluded that there is an Effect of Discovery Learning with Problem Based Learning to Result of Study in terms of Student Activity.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the effectiveness of the experimental and demonstration methods in improving the observation skills of physical objects in terms of gender differences. Experimental research uses a 2x2 factorial design, with a population of class X MAN students in Kutowinangun. Sampling using cluster random sampling with class X-IPA1 (experimental group) and class X-IPA2 (control group). The instrument for collecting data on object observation skills equipped with rubric has fulfilled the validity and reliability requirements. The results showed that (1) there was a difference in effectiveness between the experimental and demonstration methods for enhancing physics object observation skills. The Fhitung for the experimental group was 32.41> when compared to the Fhitung for the demonstration group by 23.93. Based on the components of the input, process, and output, and the results of statistical tests, the learning process using the experimental method is more effective than the demonstration method. (2) Male students who use the experimental method with a mean value of 46.12 are more effective against increasing physical object observation skills than female students who use the experimental method with a mean value of 36.45. (3) Female students who use the demonstration method with a mean value of 42.27 are more effective against increasing physical object observation skills compared to male students who use a demonstration method with a mean value of 37.00

Abstract

Abstract ? Laboratory demonstration tools is learning medium that teachers use as an alternative to improve students? understanding. Founded that students understand the concept that is taught but some students still have difficulty in solving the problem. This study aims to describe the profile of students' thinking processes presented through laboratory equipment by analyzing student behavior as learning takes place based on information processing theory. This research is a naturalistic qualitative research in which the research takes place naturally and not conditioned. Subjects in this study were 2 students of SMKN in Salatiga with high and low academic category. The result of the students' thinking process descriptions show that subjects with high academic categories are able to process the stimuli in selective attention more fully from subjects with low academic categories, the two subjects perform a perception process against the stimulus correctly, the rehearsal process performed by subjects with high academic categories stimuli more frequently than subjects with low academic categories, subjects with high academic category are able to perform the encoding process well while the subject with low academic category were not, and subjects with high academic category can perform the process of retrieval smoothly while subjects with academic low category have difficulty difficulties. The lack ability to process information can decrease the ability to solve problems. The suggestion for educators is that they must provide a complete record of learning outcomes and provide conceptual application for learning objectives to be achieved.

Abstract

Abstract ? This study aims to: (1) Determine the feasibility of developing a CORE-based Physics handout. (2) Determine students' responses to the use of CORE-based Physics handouts. (3) Knowing the increase in students' HOTS after the use of a CORE-based Physics handout in the learning process. The type of research carried out is research and development, using the ADDIE development model. The stages include, analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Product trials were conducted for students of class X MIPA program in SMA Negeri 1 Pejagoan. To get the interpretation of the data obtained, data analysis is performed by changing the score from a scale of four into a percentage. Then calculate the value of the Percentage Agreement (PA) to determine the reliability of the implementation of learning. As well as normalized gain to determine the increase in HOTS of students from the results of pre-test and post-test. The results of the validation test, the average of the three validators was 3.48. So that this CORE-based Physics handout is in the "good" category and is appropriate for use in learning Physics. Student response test produces a score of 2.96 with the category "Enough". This CORE Based Physics Handout can improve high order thinking skills on the cognitive aspects of high school students in class X SMA N 1 Pejagoan with a normalized gain of 0.6981 in the "Medium" category. These results indicate that the CORE Based Physics Handout can be an alternative teaching material for high school physics learning.

Abstract

Abstract ? Learning media is indispensable in the phase of consolidation with an effort involving students actively and assist student in understanding the material. This research aims to make Fun Frame in Physics (FFP) learning media design and investigate the effectiveness of FFP with the topic of electromagnetic induction at the consolidation stage. This research is a descriptive research. Respondents to this study were 14 - 16 junior high school students of class IX. The research instruments include questionnaire for material experts, questionnaires for media expert, student observation sheets, student activity observation sheets and student reponse observation sheets. All data obtained were analyzed qualitative decriptive. Based on student answers, the average value of each group ranges from 75 to 87,5. Based on the results of the validation, material experts and media experts gave a positive response, 83,38% and 93,6% respectively. Based on the questionnaires, 86,68% of students responded positively to the FFP media. Based on student activity observation sheets, 86,81% of student were active in group activity. So FFP is effective to assist students in understanding the topic of electromagnetic induction and can be a reference in the consolidation phase
