Abstract

This research aimed at creating module physics with the topic waves phenomena that was relevant to be used at school that carry out a system of sks. The method used was research and development with phases: preliminary study (define), program designing (design) and development (develop). The module design was based on the result of the preliminary study. Then the program was judged by experts and pilot tested on thirty students of XI class of Senior High school 3 Jayapura, using one group pretest-posttest design. Then wider scale tryout using a non-equivalent group pretest-posttest quasi experimental design, and was conducted on sixty one students at the same school. Conclusions of the research were 1) characteristics of the module physics with the topic waves phenomena, among others, self instructional, self contained, stand alone, adaptive, and user friendly. 2) the application of physics module waves phenomena in the learning topics can significantly improve students mastery of concepts, 3) prominence of waves phenomena, among others, have a complete module structure, equipped with the learner worksheets, complete with mathematical equations, and smart solution. 4) a limitation of this module is not equipped with an exercise problems. Abstract

Ilmu kimia dianggap sebagai mata pelajaran yang sulit dipelajari oleh siswa di SMA. Daya serap siswa pada pelajaran kimia hingga saat ini dianggap masih kurang memenuhi harapan. Model pembelajaran kooperatif diharapkan mampu dijadikan solusi agar siswa dapat memperoleh hasil belajar yang optimal. Pembelajaran tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dan tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif yang dapat diterapkan guru untuk menyampaikan konsep IPA di sekolah. Telah dilakukan penelitian di kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Jayapura tahun ajaran 2011/2012, tentang Perbedaan Hasil Belajar Menggunakan Pembelajaran Tipe Student Teams Achievement Division dengan Tipe Think Pair Share Pada Materi Faktor-faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Laju Reaksi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswa kelas XI-IA2 yang diajar dengan tipe TPS dan kelas XI-IA3 yang diajar dengan tipe STAD. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kedua kelas yang digunakan sebagai sampel, memiliki kemampuan yang relatif sama. Data hasil tes yang diberi setelah pembelajaran menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar kimia yang bermakna antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran tipe STAD dengan siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran tipe TPS. Pembelajaran tipe STAD lebih cocok digunakan untuk menyampaikan materi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi laju reaksi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tipe TPS. Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar siswa, Student Teams Achievement Division, Think Pair Share, Laju Reaksi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are: 1. To product buffer learning approach with problem solving approach for increasing critical thinking ability and students’ achievement. 2. To know effectivity of problem solving approach that increase students’ understanding, students’ achievement, critical skill, ability for appiying concept in daily life and problem solving. The method of this research is experiment quasi “ one group pretest-postest design “that invoire 60 (sixty) of eleventh grade natural science student. The data got by beginning (pretest) test and end test (posttest) to know inereasing concept mastery, learning achievement, critical thinking ability and problem solving ability of students, that processed using statistic method, SPSS 16. There was significance between concept mastery and critical thinking ability in experiment class and control class observed from t counted 0,000 < t table 0,05 that means problem solving approach treatment infivence students’ critical thinking ability, whereas learning achievement in control class and experiment are not significance, t counted 0,581 > t table 0,05, means problem solving approach treatment are not irfivential on learning achievement. Key word : learning achievement, critical thinking ability, concept mastery and problem solving.

Abstract

This research was made to know the relation and the influence of constructive approach to the learning result of students in grade 8th SMP N 11 Jayapura for the vibration and wave lesson of 2012/2013 academic year. This research is quantitative research. The population of this research are all of grade 8th students of SMP N 11 Jayapura. The technique of data collection that used is purposive sampling, with 32 students as the sample to know the relationship between the constructive approach with the learning result, correlation analysis has been used to prove it with the result tcount > ttable, equal 4.044 > 2.042, it means there’s any relationship between constructive approach to the learning result, while to know the influence between constructive approach to the learning result, regressive analysis has been applied with the result Fcount > Ftable , equal 16.358 > 4.17, it means there’s an influence between the constructive approach to the learning result of the students. Key word: constructive approach, the learning result.

Abstract

The research of the effect of teacher certification allowancess and work motivation on senior high school mathematic and natural science teacher performance in Jayapura regency. This research aims to know the effect of certification benefits (X1), work motivation (X2), and with the same allowances teacher certification (X1), work motivation (X2), on senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers performance in Jayapura regency (Y). Type of the research is a quantitative from of correlation. Sampling technique us saturated sample. The results showed (1) there is strong relationship between the variables of teacher certification (X1) to performance benefits of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in Jayapura regency (Y) at r = 0,595. While the donations of teacher certification to the performance benefit of senor high school mathematic and natural science techers in Jayapura regency at r square = 0,354 = 35,40%. (2) There is strong relationship between the variables of work motivation (X2) to the performance of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in Jayapura regency (Y) at r = 0,679, while the donations of work motivation to the performance benefit of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in Jayapura regency at r Square = 0,461 = 46,10%. (3) With the magnitude of variable allowances teacher certification (X1) and work motivation (X2) to the performance of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in Jayapura regency (Y) at r = 0,709, this means there is strong relationship between teacher certification allowances and work motivation jointly on the performance of teachers of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in Jayapura regency, The magnitude of teacher certification allowances and motivation to work together on teacher performance and motivation work collectively equal to the perormance of senior high school mathematic and natural science teacher in Jayapura regency at r square = 0,502 = 50,20%. The result of this study showed the significant effect between teacher certiication allowances, work motivation and the madnitude of teacher certification allowances and work motivation to the perormance of senior high school mathematic and natural science teachers in jayapura regency. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap sejauhmana model pembelajaran kimia yang diterapkan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan karakter kemandirian siswa SMA. Untuk mencapai tujuan dilakukan penelitian eksperimen semu pada pembelajaran hidrokarbon di kelas X SMA. Kelas eksperimen dibagi dalam 2 kelompok yakni yang diajar dengan dan tanpa media peta pikiran, keduanya menerapkan pendekatan advance organizer. Data berupa hasil hasil belajar kimia beranah kognitif dan karakter kemandirian diperoleh dari jawaban responden atas pertanyaan yang diajukan dalam instrumen test dan non test yang sudah memenuhi persyaratan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan juga statistik menggunakan uji t satu pihak pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) model pembelajaran kimia yang memadukan strategi advance organizer dengan media peta pikiran mampu mengembangkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa SMA, (2) model pembelajaran kimia yang memadukan strategi advance organizer dengan media peta pikiran mampu mengembangkan karakter kemandirian siswa SMA, (3). terdapat hubungan antara karakter kemandirian dengan hasil belajar kimia siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan media mind mapping pada model pembelajaran advance organizer. Kata Kunci : Mind Mapping, advance organizer, kemandirian
