Abstract

The objective of this research is to obtain information about the effect of principal supervision, school work climate, and mastery of the subject matter (history) toward quality of teacher test making. This research was conducted at senior high school in Jakarta Selatan involving 50 (fifty) persons of history teachers as the sample of this research. Data were collected using a valid and reliable questionnaire, and were analyzed using path analysis technique.The research finding show that: 1) the principal supervision has a direct positive influence to the quality of teacher test making, 2) the school work climate has a direct, and positive influence to the quality of teacher test making, 3) the mastery of subject matter (history) has a direct positive influence to thequality of teacher test making, 4) the principal supervision has a direct positive influence to the mastery of the subject matter, and 5) the school work climate has a direct positive influence to the mastery of subject matter (history).

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the implementation program of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) in SMK Negeri 26 Jakarta. Research using a model-based evaluation of Ralph W. Tyler. Data collected by the instrument of observation, documentation, questionnaires, and interviews. The results showed that the input component to: 1) the planning stage has organizational structures, executive staf, and completeness of the documentation requirements of ISO QMS, 2) the implementation stage ​​the socialization of ISO QMS and procedure how to prepare the documentshave been made, availability of the work program for each area of ​​management, and complete infrastructure facilities, 3) the inspection stage monitoring and audit have been carried out on schedule and under-reporting, and 4) the action stage repair has been carried out in accordance with the specified time limit. At the output component show: 1) improving customer satisfaction aspect of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, empathy and assurance already well but there is still a teacher who does not comply with a diploma because of a lack of teachers in the study, 2) improving the quality of sustainable resources, educators and education personnel highest qualifications category Masterate (S2) but very less, and 3) improving quality management system in the curriculum both academic and administrative services are well, but educators rarely access the school website as an information media. Management schools in order to socialize and train the educators and education personnel more intensive about ISO QMS.

Abstract

This research aimed to study the effects of application of the portfolio assessment model and creativity toward the ability of solving mathematics problem (ASMP). This research used Group Within Treatment (GWT) design within experimental method and applied three kinds of treatment, namely: show case portfolios, document portfolios, and working portfolios. Each treatment involved three groups of student from SMAN 1, SMAN 5, and SMAN 14 Makassar. The data analysis used in this research was two-way analysis of variance with GWT. The findings acquired were the difference between the ability of mathematics problem solving of the students who were assessed through showcase portfolios, document portfolios, and working portfolios. For the group of students with high creativity, the ability of mathematics problem solving of those who were assessed with showcase portfolios and document portfolios was higher than those who were assessed with working portfolios. For the group of students with low creativity, the ability of mathematics problem solving of those who were assessed with working portfolios was higher than those who assessed with document portfolios, and showcase portfolioswas higher than showcase portfoliodocument portfolios. The results of this research showed that showcase portfolio assessment can be used as an alternative assessment for problem solving learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect feedback giving toward citizenship education achievement viewed from students' attitudes. The study was conducted in SMAN 45 and 52 with sample consisted of 80 students were taken by multistage random sampling. Data collection was obtained through a questionnaire and achievement test and analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with a two-way design treatment by level 2 x 2. The results showed that: 1) citizenship education achievement on student peer feedback given higher than students who were given teacher feedback, 2) there is an interaction effect between giving feedback and achievement of student attitudes toward citizenship education achievement, and 3) citizenship education achievement in the group of students who have a positif attitude were given peer feedback were higher than those teacher feedback. Based on the research results are expected citizenship education teachers in the learning process by providing feedback using peer feedback.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of the education and training leadership IV at Makassar Education and Training Religious Center using the four-level evaluation of Kirkpatrick Models, namely: reaction, learning, behavior, and result. The evaluation results on reaction level which have not satisfied the participants were the mastery of the materials and the ability of the trainers to use case samples according to participants’ duties and functions, the relevance of materials to participants’ duties and functions, assigned tasks, dorm comforts, learning facilities, sports and recreation center, food service and hospitality, as well as the appearance of the waiter in the dining room. There was an improvement of learning outcomes on the evaluation results on learning level. The less satisfactory evaluation results on behavior level was the ability of the education and training alumni to develop a solid working team and making decisions. On the result level was the quality of service of educnation and training alumni. To improve the service quality of the education and training leadership IV, the Makassar Religious Training Center should manage the findings which were less satisfactory on every aspect mentioned above.

Abstract

The objectives of this study is to find out the influence of assessment technique and self management toward the students’ philosophy of Islamic education achievement at STAIN Kendari. The design was 2 x 2 treatment by level. The experimental subject consisted of 40 students who were in the fourth semester. The data analysis was used two way anova. The result of study showed that: (1) the students’ philosophy of Islamic education achievement who assessed by performance assessment was higher than the student who assessed by essay assessment, (2) there was an interaction effect between assessment technique and self management toward students’ philosophy of Islamic education achievement, and (3) at the active self management, the students’ philosophy of Islamic education achievement was higher when assessed by performance assessment technique than essay assessment. Based on the result of this study, the researcher suggests in order to consider to the students’ self management in applying the technique of assessment, due to there is no assessment technique fit to all subject.

Abstract

This study aimed to look at the comparation of number response categories towards reliability of mathematics disposition instrument. The research method used in this study is an experimental method. While the design used is one way anava of 4 x 1 and research hypotheses were tested using one way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The participants of this study were 765 students from eleventh grade in 4 SMAN in Central Jakarta with sampling technique multi stage random sampling. The result concluded that: (1) there is an influence of number response categories towards reliability coefficient of mathematics disposition instruments, (2) reliability of seven categories response mathematics disposition instrument higher than reliability of five categories response mathematics disposition instrument, (3) reliability of seven categories response mathematics disposition instrument higher than reliability of four categories response mathematics disposition instrument , and (4) reliability of six categories response mathematics disposition instrument higher than reliability of four categories response mathematics disposition instrument. Implementation of the study about adding two or three categories on non test instrument can be implemented for mathematics subject for student of Senior High School because of reliability enhancement.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to obtain an objective and comprehensive pictures about the results of applying the andragogical principles in the implementation of education and training. This research used evaluation research method with Stake’s Responsive Evaluation Model. The subject of this research is the training participants, training committees, facilitators, teacher trainers, and the training program supervisor. The data were collected through interview techniques, focus group discussion, observation, questionnaire, and document study. The results of this research showed that some of the component has met the criteria in the implementation of the program, but most of the component and other training aspects require further development. The fundamental weaknesses of the training implementations were inadequate understanding of the conceptual of the facilitator’s to the adult learning principles. This implications for the whole training process and results achieved. However, the summary comes up to a conclusion that the implementation training at Educational Quality Assurance Institution of Maluku Province still need improvement, especially the aspect of application of adult learning principles.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of feedback giving and self efficacy toward the achievement in chemistry-science SMP by controlling the student’s intelligence. This research was conducted by employing and experimental method called 2 x 2 treatment by level design, and used analysis of covariate (ANCOVA) has been applied. After controlling the student’s intelligence, it was found that the achievement in chemistry science of the group which was given teacher feedback was higher than the group which was given peer feedback, and there was an interaction effect between of feedback giving and the self efficacy toward in chemistry-science SMP. Interaction effect is shown by the achievement in chemistry-science for students in the group given teacher feedback was higher than the group of students is given peer feedback, especially for student’s in the group that have high self efficacy. Otherwise, especially for student’s in the group that have lower self efficacy, the achievement in chemistry-science of the student’s in the group which was given teacher feedback was lower than the group which was given peer feedback. The results of this study concluded that the results of studying science-chemistry as a whole is affected by the type of giving feedback and high and low self-efficacy students. To that end, students need to be self efficacy considerations in determining ways of giving the right feedback.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the influence of cooperative learning models and assesment technique toward mathematics achievement. This research was an experimental which conducted at SMPN 3 and SMPN 31 Bekasi City. The research sampling was obtained with random technique. The data analysis was conduct with two ways analysis of variance (ANOVA) 2 X 2. The research result showed that: (1) The mathematics achievement of student who was given cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) is higher than the matematics achievement of student who was given cooperative learning model Learning Together (LT), (2) The mathematics achievement of student who was given the technical assesment performance test is higher than the student who was given the technical assesment of writting test in essay, (3) There was an influence interaction between the cooperative learning model and the the technical assesment toward mathematic achievement, (4)The mathematics achievement of students who was given treatment cooperative learning model of TSTS type with technical assesment performance was higher than the mathematics achievement of student who was given cooperative learning model of LT type with technical assesment test performance, (5) The study of mathematics achievement which was given the technical assesment of performance is higher than which was given technical assesment of writting test in essay form, especially if using the cooperative learning model type TSTS, and (6) The mathematics achievement with technical assesment test performance is higher than technical assesment of writting test in essay form, especially if using the cooperative learning model type LT.
