Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create an atmosphere of learning and learning process so that students actively develop their potential. Education is a basic need factor for every human being so that efforts to educate the life of the nation, because through education efforts to improve people's welfare can be realized. The politics of education is all efforts, policies and strategies related to the problem of education. The politics of education is a general explanation or understanding determined by the highest education authority to direct ideas and determine actions with educational devices in various similarities and diversity along with the objectives and programs to realize them. The politics of education contains the policies of a country's government regarding education. The politics of education is not only in the form of written laws and regulations, but also includes other policies relating to education. The politics of education is aimed at the success of education providers that are run for the achievement of the goals of the state, because the goals of the state are the main targets in the administration of education.

Abstract

In the modern era, competition in various lines of life is getting tougher, education has not escaped the demands of the modern era so that the term education modernization appears. Modernization of education wants a learning model with sophisticated technology, focusing its expertise to be able to talk a lot in the field of work. Related to this, Salafiah Islamic Boarding School which is identical with its old, old education system is considered to be no longer relevant to the development of the times demanded to be able to maintain its existence with renewal efforts which certainly does not leave its characteristics as Salafiah Islamic Boarding School. This research took place in the Salafiah Sa'a Islamic Boarding School, Seberang, Jambi City. This study aims to determine the existence of the Salafiah Islamic Boarding School in the modernization era of education, what constraints faced by the Salafiah Islamic Boarding School in the modernization era of education, and what efforts have been made by the Islamic Boarding School in the era of education. education. The method used in this research is qualitative. The types of data used are primary and secondary. The data source is the informant associated with the existence of the Salafiah Sa' adatuddaren Islamic Boarding School in the era of education modernization, which was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that in the current era of education modernization, the Salafiah Islamic Boarding School 'adatuddaren still exists even though the number has indeed decreased but not too significantly. The efforts made by the Salafiah Sa'a adatuddaren Islamic Boarding School to maintain its existence in the era of education modernization are good enough, only it needs to be continuously evaluated by looking at existing obstacles, and the demands and demands of the times both in the world of education and employment.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the process of applying the muraja’ah method in memorizing al-Qur`an at al-Mubarak Islamic Boarding School. The study uses qualitative research, with data collection through documentation, interviews, observation and questionnaires. Key informants are Kyai Pondok Pesantren, Deputy Head of Curriculum, Ustadz/ Ustadzah, Santriwan/ Santriwati. This study found that the effectiveness of the Muraja'ah Method in Memorizing al-Qur`an in al-Mubarok Islamic Boarding School in Tahtul Yaman Village, Pelayangan District of Jambi City still experiences obstacles in memorizing activities, the existing constraints: 1) Lack of motivation santri in muraja'ah hafalan al-Qur`an, 2) Lack of time management and lack of discipline, and 3) Environmental conditions.

Abstract

This research is meant to find that qirā’ah is one of important factors to see Arabic achievement as well as istimā’, kalām and kitābah. Other factors are from the methods of teaching like: TPR (Total Physical Response), Silent way, and Community Language Learning and suggestopedia method. In this paper the writer limits the problem by focusing on teaching qirā’ah descriptive paragraph through suggestopedia method. The writer formulates the problem of this paper. The formulation is "How does the teacher teach descriptive paragraph through suggestopedia to senior high school students at State Islamic Senior High school (MAN) Model jambi”. This paper is significant because it will be very useful for senior high school students, Its hoped that when the teachers apply the suggestopedia method, the students can learn qirā’ah in more enjoyable and fun environment. This paper is also important for teachers. It is hoped that they will have wider and deeper understanding of teaching methods in general, particularly suggestopedia method in teaching qirā’ah.

Abstract

Islamic education during the New Order experienced a growth both quantitatively and in terms of the quality of the organization. The New Order policy in Islamic Education, for example: the government implemented Islamic religious education taught in elementary schools to higher education, madrasa institutions and pesantren began to be recognized, the provision of facilities and others. Government policies during the New Order era, although providing fresh air for the development of Islamic education, the stakeholders must fight and work hard to convince the government so that the existence of Islamic education remains recognized and has the same position with other education nationally.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs of students towards English courses for non-English Department students. This research is focused on analyzing the need for teaching materials, desired teaching methods and student language learning strategies. This research is a case study involving 136 Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Islamic Religion Teacher Education (PGMI) students. The data was collected from respondents by conducting surveys and interviews. Survey data were analyzed using SPSS and Thematic analysis was used to analyze data from interviews. The results of this study indicateed that speaking skill is the skill that is mainly needed by students. Furthermor the development of vocabulary is also the main focus of the students. The results of this study with regard to learning methods show that students like mixed methods. In reference to the learning strategy, the students used variety and wide range of learning strategies. This research is very useful for English language teachers especially for the preparation of the lesson plan for non-English major students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kegiatan bermain dan bernyanyi dalam mengembangkan bahasa anak usia 5-6 tahun. Fokus penelitian adalah kegiatan bermain dan benyanyi dalam mengembangkan bahasa anak di taman kanak-kanak atau TK Negeri Pembina Sapat Kecamatan Kuala Indragiri. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian menemukan bahwa kegiatan bermain dan bernyanyi telah mengembangkan bahasa anak usia dini di TK Negeri Pembina Sapat Kecamatan Kuala Indragiri, dan sudah terlaksana namun belum optimal. Ketidakopetimalan disebabkan kehendak orang tua agar kegiatan pembelajaran anak usia dini TK Negeri Pembina Sapat harus menyerupai sistem pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar seperti harus mampu baca tulis dan berhitung.

Abstract

Penelitian berfokus pada manajemen Kepala Sekolah dalam pemberantasan buta aksara Alquran di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Nusantara Kota Jambi. Penelitian menganalisa subyektifitas kepala sekolah sebagai manajer dan obyektifitasnya dalam menjalankan fungsi-fungsi manajemen, serta implementasi fungsi-fungsi manajemen tersebut oleh Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam rangka pemberantasan buta aksara Alquran. Informan kunci dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah dan Guru PAI. Informan lainnya adalah Wakil Kepala Sekolah, Guru dan Kepala Tata Usaha. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian menemukan bahwa tipe kepemimpinan yang diterapkan di SMA Nusantara Kota Jambi terdiri dari tipe kepemimpinan demokratis dan situasional dengan menerapkan model manajemen partisipatif. Kepemimpinan demokratis memberi akses yang cukup luas terhadap kebebasan, persamaan, pembagian kekuasaan dan penghargaan terhadap potensi guru PAI, seperti kebebasan dalam mengemukakan pendapat dan dalam mengembangkan inovasi dalam mengajar Alquran. Hal ini dibuktikan misalnya pada aspek pembelajaran Alquran yang dilaksanakan guru PAI dengan mengikuti program yang ada dengan sedikit inovasi guna memberikan pengayaan kemampuan baca Alquran. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa dalam implementasi fungsi-fungsi manajemen, Kepala Sekolah telah menerapkan beberapa fungsi manajemen yang ada seperti planning, organizing, actuating, dan controlling, namun belum memaksimalkan peran evaluating dalam kegiatan manajerial, sehingga ditemukan gambaran pasti yang dapat merefleksikan perkembangan dan kemajuan dari kegiatan pemberantasan buta aksara Alquran di SMA Nusantara Kota Jambi.

Abstract

Perkembangan kreativitas belajar siswa tidak terlepas dari peranan kompetensi profesional guru dalam hal ini guru sejarah kebudayaan Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan pertama untuk mengetahui kompetensi profesional Guru Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam dalam mengembangkan kreativitas belajar siswa; kedua, untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah yang dilakukan oleh Guru Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam dalam mengembangkan kreativitas belajar siswa; dan ketiga, untuk mengetahui apa saja yang menjadi faktor pendukung dan penghambat Guru Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam dalam mengembangkan kreativitas belajar siswa. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan tehnik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dalam pengumpulan data. Kesimpulan penelitian yaitu pertama, secara konsep kompetensi profesional guru sejarah kebudayaan islam sudah dimiliki dan dipahami, sedang dalam pelaksanaannya masih belum maksimal dalam mengembangkan kreativitas belajar siswa; kedua langkah-langkah yang dilakukan oleh guru adalah pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media film, mengadakan pentas seni, drama dan studi tour; ketiga, faktor penghambat adalah biaya operasional pendidikan yang masih kurang, serta sarana dan prasarana yang masih belum lengkap, serta belum tersedia guru sertifikasi bidang studi tersebut. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian ini merekomendasikan kompetensi dan fasilitas pendidikan yang maksimal untuk mengembangkan kreativitas belajar siswa MTsN Tebo Ilir.

Abstract

Salah satu pendekatan yang dilakukan guru dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran Ilmu Fiqh di MAN Laboratorium adalah metode interaktif berbasis multimedia, hal tersebut telah dikdukung oleh fasilitas yang memadai, namun penerapannya belum sepenuhnya dapat dilaksanakan. Hal ini terjadi karena terbatasnya kemampuan guru, baik dalam memahami metode maupun skill dalam menerapkannya. Meski penerapannya dilakukan seadanya dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Fiqh namun telah berhasil memudahkan dan menyenangkan siswa dalam memahami konten pelajaran tersebut.
