Abstract

A research on " Coral Diversity in Iboih Aquatic Littoral Zone at Sukakarya District of Sabang City " has been conductedfrom 25 to 27 of May 2013.This study aims to find out the coral species and its diversity index on Iboih aquatic littoral zone at Sukakarya District of Sabang City. The datawere collected by using direct observation and non- destructive sampling techniquesusing transect methods Quadrat and Line Transect method. Physical andchemical factors were measuredincluding temperature, pH , salinity, brightness and depth.The results showed that there were 38 species out of 14 familia of coral found on Iboih aquatic littoral zone at Sukakaryadistrict of Sabangcity. The diversity Index of coral in Iboih aquatic littoral zone at Sukakarya district of Sabangcitywas high (Ĥ=3.28).

Abstract

Gempa bumi 11 April 2012 berkekuatan 8,5 SR memicu terjadinya pergerakan masyarakat Kecamatan Kuta Alam dalam usaha menyelamatkan diri, ribuan masyarakat bergerak untuk mencapai tempat aman dalam waktu yang sesingkat-singkatnya demi terhindar dari bencana. Pergerakan masyarakat tersebut dideskripsikan dalam bentuk peta pergerakan masyarakat Kecamatan Kuta Alam Kota Banda Aceh, data pergerakan didapat dari kuesioner dan wawancara dengan masyarakat serta pihak terkait. Peta pergerakan masyarakat dan peta tematik beserta informasi lainnya dianalisis untuk mendapatkan peta awal jalur evakuasi Kecamatan Kuta Alam. Selanjutnya dilakukan observasi dilapangan dengan membandingkan kondisi eksisting dengan peta awal tersebut guna mendapatkan titik evakuasi dan peta jalur evakuasi bagi masyarakat Kecamatan Kuta Alam. Pada penelitian ini di gunakan ArcGIS 10 untuk menggabarkan peta-peta tersebut. Titik evakuasi Kecamatan Kuta Alam adalah kawasan di sepanjang Jalan T. H. Bendahara di Kuta Alam, Jalan Keuchik Saman di Beurawe dan Jalan terusan T. P. Nyak Makam di Pango. Direkomendasikan sepuluh jalur evakuasi untuk mencapai titik-titik evakuasi tersebut: (1.) Mainun Saleh-T. P. Polem-T. H. Bendahara (2.) Kuta Lam Panah-Pocut Meurah Insuen I-Bakti-Chik Kuta Karang-T. H. Bendahara (3.) T. Diblang/Teratai-Tgk. Hasyim Banta Muda-Darma-T. Malem I-T. H. Kata Kunci: Gempa Bumi, Jalur Evakuasi, dan Peta Pergerakan Masyarakat 11 April 2012 an earthquake measuring 8.5 Richter Scale triggered the Kuta Alam sub-district movement of people in an attempt to save himself, thousands of people move to reach a safe place in the shortest possible time in order to avoid disaster. The movement of the people described in the form of a map of the movement of the Kuta Alam sub-district of Banda Aceh, the movement of data obtained from questionnaires and interviews with the public and stakeholders. Map the movement of people and thematic maps along with other information are analyzed to obtain initial evacuation route map Kuta Alam sub-district. Further field observations conducted by comparing the existing condition with the initial map in order to obtain the evacuation point and evacuation route maps for the Kuta Alam sub-district. This research used ArcGIS 10 to illustrate the maps. Evacuation point Kuta Alam sub-district is the area along Jalan T. H. Bendahara in Kuta Alam, Jalan Keuchik Saman in Beurawe and Jalan Terusan T. P. Nyak Tomb in Pango. Ten recommended evacuation routes to reach evacuation points are: (1.) Mainun Saleh-T. P. Polem-T. H. Bendahara (2.) Abstract

The appropriacy of course content with practicum contents is an effort to reach an optimum instructional goal. The level of appropriacy also reflects the implementation of practicum in the laboratory. Nevertheless, there were still some weaknesses in the practicum implementation such as the practicum was not fully conducted under lecturer???s guidance and direction; The practicum content was irrelevant with the course content; Evaluation and revision was rarely made to the course content and practicum content; the sequence of course content was not suitable with the sequence of practicum content. The aims of this study were to find out the level of appropriacy of course content with the content of biology practicum in the field of plant at biology education department. The methods used in this study were document analysis and descriptive method. The lesson plan of plant course content and also the content of practicum guidance in the field of plant were analyzed by the researcher. The result showed that 1) the level of appropriacy between the plant course content and the content of practicum was 50% and categorized as ???appropriate???; 2) The other plant course content was considered ???very appropriate??? in terms of course content appropriacy with practicum content in the level of 50%. 3) The level of appropriacy between the sequences of course content with practicum content was 50% and categorized as ???appropriate???. While another 50% was categorized as ???very appropriate???. It can be concluded that the level of appropriacy of course content with the content of biology practicum in the field of plant at biology education department of UIN Ar-Raniry was categorized by ???very appropriate??? and ???appropriate???.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi keanekaragaman hayati dan upaya pelestariannya melalui metode karyawisata. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTsN Model Banda Aceh. Metode penelitian adalah metode eksperimen. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 2 kelas yang ditentukan secara random terdiri dari kelas eksperimen menggunakan metode karyawisata dan kelas kontrol dengan metode ekspositori. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan uji-z dengan bantuan program SPSS 16.0 for window. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penerapan metode karyawisata dengan metode ekspositori terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa; (2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara penerapan metode karyawisata dengan metode ekspositori terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Kata Kunci: Metode Karyawisata, Pemahaman Konsep, Keterampilan Proses Sains dan Keanekaragaman Hayati The purposes of this study were to know the improvement of students??? concept understanding and science processing skill in biodiversity material and its preservation effort through field trip method. The study was conducted in MTsN Model Banda Aceh. The method used was experimental research. The sample of this study was two classes which was determined by cluster random sampling that consisted of experimental class that used field trip method and control class that used expository method. The data then analyzedby using z- test with SPSS 16,0 for windows. The results showed that: (1) There was significant difference between using field trip method and expository method toward the improvement of students??? concept understanding. (2) There was significant difference between the aplication of field trip method and expository method in improving students??? science processing skill. Abstract

A sago starch- based (Metroxylon sagu) edible coating with sago powder as a filler and glycerol as a plasticizer has been made.This research is expected to provide information about microbial sensitivity towards the sago starch- based edible coating which is eco-friendly and safe to be used. Requirements to determine food quality refers to the role of E.coli as a toxicity indicator to cause food damage. Toxicity testing of E. coli toward sago starch-based coating was conducted by using Kirby Bauer method. A standardized agar-disc paper diffusion procedure is one way to to determine antibiotic resistancy of bacteria. Bacterial resistancy toward antibiotics is determined by the diameter of inhibit zone formed. Microorganisms cultures requires media that contain nutrients and appropriate environment such as Nutrient Agar (NA). Based on E. coli toxicity testing conducted to the sago starch-based edible coating in 370C temperature and 48 hours of incubation, it is found that the edible coated has not anticeptic activity toward Escherichia coli because the inhibit zone is not formed on the sago starch- based coating. Therefore, the edible coating which has been made is healthy to be consumed.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) know the composition of juvenile spat of Geloina erosa, and (2) find out the ratio of juveli Spat on the estuary area of the river, the flow and the headwaters of estuary area of the river in mangrove ecosystem Reuleung River Leupung, Aceh Besar district. The study was conducted in May and June 2015 in mangrove area Reuleung River Leupung Aceh Besar district. The research location was divided into three stations, namely station 1 at estuary area, station 2 at river flow and station 3 at headwaters of estuary of Reuleung River Leupung, Aceh Besar district. The samples were taken three times at three stations. In every stations and observations, 5 plot with size 1mx1m were taken. Juvenile spat composition was analyzed by using percentage, while the ratio of juvenile Spat was analyzed by using Chi-square. The results showed that the composition of the juveniles in the estuary area was 26.09% and in the flow area was 50.00%, while at the headwaters of estuary of the river was 0%. The composition of Spat at estuary location was 1 73.01%, at two regional river flow was 50% and at 3 locations of headwaters of estuary was 0%. The ratio between juvenile Spat at the estuary area was 1:3, while at the river flow was 1:1, and at the headwaters of estuary was 0:0. The conclusions were (1) The composition of the juvenile and spat were varied, and (2) the ratio of juvenile Spat in the Reuleung River Leupung Aceh Besar district was balanced and unbalanced.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the land transfer to the diversity of mangrove benthos in the district of Banda Aceh Jaya Baru. This research was conducted in September-November 2014 in an area of mangrove Jaya Baru sub-district of Banda Aceh. The method used survey method or direct observation. Stations were divided into four stations using purposive sampling method on the basis of the existence of mangrove. Benthos diversity analyzed by formula diversity index, while the impact of the transfer was analyzed with the description. The results obtained by analysis of benthos diversity on land that has been reclaimed 1.18 and on land that is not reclaimed 1,17. The conclusion is the diversity of benthos was proving that the land transfer mangrove in the district of Banda Aceh Jaya Baru impact on the benthos diversity that needs to be disseminated and awareness-raising so that the mangrove ecosystem is maintained.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in students' understanding of biodiversity material and its preservation efforts through the field trip method. This research was carried out in the MTsN Model Banda Aceh, while the field trip location is the Mata Ie Forest in Darul Imarah sub-district and the Taman Rusa in Suka Makmur sub district, Aceh Besar. The research method is experimental method. The samples in this study were 2 randomly determined classes consisting of one experimental class of 36 students using the field trip method and one control class of 36 students with the expository method. The data analysis technique was carried out with the z-test with SPSS 16.0. The results showed that the concept understanding for the control class was 70 and the experimental class was 76. There was a significant difference between the application of the field trip method and the expository method to students' understanding of the biodiversity concept. It can be concluded that the application of the field trip method can increase student interest in learning, specifically for biodiversity material and its preservation efforts.

Abstract

A study has been conducted to determine the differences in motivation and student learning outcomes by using video media and by conventional learning on Human Skeletal System subject at SMAN 1 Peukan Baro in Pidie Regency in 2016/2017 school year. The population of this study was 46 students. The entire population was selected as a research sample that is 23 students for the experimental class and 23 students for the control class. Motivation data and learning outcomes were collected through a pretest and posttest questionnaire. The learning outcomes were analyzed using the F test and Mann Whitney. The results showed that motivation and learning outcomes differed significantly between students who used video media learning and students who were teached conventionally with a P value of 0,000 < 0.05. In conclusion there are significant differences in motivation and learning outcomes between students who use video media learning and students who use conventional learning methods especially on the topic of the Human Skeletal System.

Abstract

The study titled is using human reproduction system E-learning module to improve student's interest in optimizing the potential of multiple intelligence to increasing student interest in optimizing the potential of multiple intelligences in studying human reproductive system concept by using E learning module. This research was conducted on March 10 until March 25, 2015. The method used is experimental and descriptive with a sample size of 60 students consisting of 30 students class XI-IPA 2 and 30 students class XI-IPA 3. Data analysis used to know the difference of improvement of cognitive learning result is t test at significant level 0,05. Result of t test of student interest increase obtained t scor 16,3 ??? t table (1,98). The conclusion of this research is the use of human reproduction system module through e learning can increase student interest in maximizing the potential of multiple intelligences.
