Abstract

Stroke illness is the third most common cause of death after heart disease and cancer. Stroke is clinical syndromeresulted from blood vessels disorder in the brain, it occurs immediately, and commonly people of 45-80 years are at riskfor stroke. A one-year survival rate of stroke patients has been affected by their ages, type of stroke, period of treatment, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, heart disease/cardiovascular disease, smoking, gender, and thepatients’ parental/maternal history of stroke. This research uses retrospective cohort design. The probability of strokepatients’ survival rate for the duration of 52 weeks (1 year) is 61% with 52 weeks of survival median. Patients withfrequent stroke recurrence have 2.0 times of death risk compared to patients with first time stroke on identical levelof medical history in heart disease and cholesterol level. Whereas stroke patients with heart disease have 2.8 times ofdeath risk compared to stroke patients with no heart disease on identical level of medical history in stroke illness andcholesterol level. Meanwhile stroke patients with hypercholesterolemia have 1.8 times of death risk compared to strokevpatients with low cholesterol level on identical level of medical history in stroke illness and heart disease.Key words: Survival Rate, Stroke Patients, Stroke.

Family’s level of knowledge about caring is importantto take research in correlation with the relapse that makes patient must to stay again in psychiatric hospital. This research was quantitative with analytic correlation method. The instrument used questioner. Populationin this research were all of the family who has family member as patient who checked up to Clinic of AminoGondohutomo Psychiatric Hospital Semarang, with the average of hallucination cases per month in 2010 were103. Sample taken with purposive sampling as much 82 respondents according to the inclusion and exclusioncriteria made by researcher. The correlation between family’s level of knowledge and frequency of relapsewere analyzed by Chi Square correlation. The research showed that there is no significant correlation betweenfamily’s level of knowledge about caring for hallucination patient with frequency of relapse in home (p value>α).The research concluded that family’s level of knowledge is only a little part of factors that influences family’sbehavior in caring for hallucination patient in home. Abstract

Hypothesis testing is used Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test and Mann-Whitney test.RESULT: There was a significant difference between before and after nursing education to decrease bloodpressure in hypertensive patients(p-value = 0.000). The other results there is a significant difference thedecrease of blood pressure in hypertensive patients between pre-test and post-test in the control group (p-value= 0.000). There are differences systolic blood pressure between educated group (16.16) and the control group (11.18), but the difference was not significant (p-value = 0.12). There are differences diastolic blood pressure between educated group (8.27) and the control group (5.1), but the differences was not significant (p-value =0.20).CONCLUSION: Nurse education effect on decreased blood pressure   in elderly with hypertension in thePuskesmas Purwodadi Grobogan. Keywords : hypertension, nurse, education

Sampling was using purposivesampling with total sample of 30 respondents. Data analysis techniques with Chi Square. Results: Data obtained from the study showed that most respondents had knowledge of the completeness ofimmunization is moderate. From the statistical test value X2 = 13.065, p = 0.011 and the value of contingency coefficient C= 0.55.Conclusions: There were a significant correlation between mothers’ level of knowledge regarding immunization withcompleteness of immunization in infants at Klegenwonosari, Klirong, Kebumen with moderate coefficient correlation. Keywords: Mothers’ knowledge level, infant immunization completeness.
